Marker Connections Flash Head Cable & Ground Connections
Ensure side marker cable connections match all PCB
labels and included wiring diagram found on the
inside of the marker box.
IMPORTANT! Connections are polarity sensative,
correct wiring is critical for proper operation.
The ash head cable will tie into the marker box using
the terminal block located in the lower right corner.
Ensure the wiring coming from the ash head and
from the system controller are wired to match polarity
on the color coded terminal block as seen below.
Use a #8 AWG wire to properly ground the marker box.
Coat both ends with a corrosion inhibitor.
NOTE!! Ensure wiring is connected according to color
coded guidelines as seen below.
(red, red, black, black, ground, ground)

NOTE!! If using V3.4 Firmware or above the markers can be
connected to any of the (4) outputs on the board.

Vanguard®Marker Installation
1. Open the access plate by loosening the (2)
captive screws enough to swing the cover
open and remove the installed wire nuts*.
NOTE!! Do not remove the wire nut from the WHT/BLU
wire.*
*If your marker doesn’t have a WHT/BLU wire please disregard.
2. Feed the marker cable through the black
cord grip and strip approximately 1/4” from
the jacket of each conductor.
4. Carefully place the wires inside the marker
base and close the access plate. Ensure the
screws and the cord grip are tight to
prevent moisture intrusion.
The following guide will provide installation steps for the DC version of the Vanguard marker.
3. Using the supplied wire nuts and electrical
tape connect the (2) Red wires together
and the (2) Black wires together.
