1. CONTENT OF PACKAGING
Inside the box you will find this instruction manual, the glass cleaning scraper and the Elios
Infrared cooker.
The box is designed to be used as a protective case to carry Elios safely: to open it, we recommend
removing only the 4 hooks at the bottom, between the wooden base and the walls.

4. IMPORTANT ADVICE AND WARNINGS
Please read this manual carefully and keep it carefully for further consultation and maintenance.
The manufacturer reserves the right to make any changes to the cooker and to this manual he may
deem advisable without prior notice.
The partial reproduction of this manual may not be reproduced without the manufacturer's
permission.
 Elios Infrared is designed exclusively for the cooking of food by the use of suitable
containers. Any other use is considered improper and dangerous for things, people and
animals. The manufacturer can not be held responsible for any kind of damage caused to the
appliance or from the appliance in the event of improper use.
 Don' t put any food in direct contact with the glassware top.
 The appliance can reach very high temperatures in some parts. Please pay due attention and,
if necessary, use appropriate protections.
Caution: Danger to burn!
 Do not use flammable products near the cooker while it is in operation.
 The ceramic glassware remains very hot for a period of time even after the unit has been
switched off: pay particular attention especially in the presence of children or incapable.
 Do not allow it to be used by children or incapable people.
 Place the appliance on a sturdy and stable horizontal surface. Otherwise, the appliance may
fall or overflow the hot pots with a risk of burns and /or bruising.
 Do not use the appliance outdoor in case of bad weather conditions.
 The installation room must be equipped with all the protection systems provided by the
regulations in force at the installation site.
 Do not use deformed pots that are unstable on the top of ceramic glassware.
 Do not use the appliance without any pan on top.
 Do not place plastic containers or flammable materials on the glass ceramic top when it is on
or is still hot.
 Do not heat tin cans or other hermetically sealed containers: the heat may explode causing
serious injury to people and things.
 After using the appliance, make sure that the knob is in position 0 (off) and if it has been
switched off for a long time, disconnect it from the power supply.
 Check the integrity of the appliance and the power cord before each switch on.
 Looking at Elios with the knob in front, on the left side there is a cooling fan that ejects hot
air: air passage must not be blocked.
 In case of anomalies, contact technical support.
 Every maintenance must be carried out by qualified personnel with disconnected electric
power and only using original spare parts or approved by the manufacturer.
 Do not modify the appliance.
 Elios's structure is mainly made of cast iron and can therefore be heavy: raise carefully.
 The glass ceramic top is durable but not unbreakable: sharp and pointed objects could
damage it.
 Do not place pots by violently hitting the glass ceramic top.
 Do not connect the cooker to the electrical system and do not turn it on if there are any signs
of broken glassware.

Pots to use with Elios Infrared cooker must have a minimum diameter of 18 cm and a
maximum diameter of 50 cm.
Do not use pots with concave or convex bottom.
Small imperfections and roughness of the surface are peculiar to cast iron, a material chosen for its
robustness and longevity, and therefore are to be considered as normal.

6. INSTALLATION
 Remove all packings by keeping them in an appropriate way and keeping them away from
the reach of children.
 Make sure the cooker has not been damaged during transport. If the product is damaged or
there are some faults, contact your dealer immediately.
 Make sure the knob is in position 0 (off).
 In the lower part of Elios Infrared it is visible a sticker with indicated power consumption
and operating voltage: check that the electrical system and the main switch are properly
dimensioned (consult a specialist technician).
 Verify that the system is grounded and complies with all applicable national regulations at
the installation site.
 The electrical outlet or the main switch must be easily accessible by the operator during
operation of the appliance.
 Elios must be placed in indoor spaces suitable for this purpose with a maximum temperature
of 25 ° C (77° F) and with a maximum humidity of 60%.
 Place Elios on a horizontal, stable and heat-resistant surface (Sothis display trolley is
available as an accessory).
 Leave space around the cooker to allow proper cooling of the appliance. Looking at the
Elios Infrared with the front knob, on the left there is a cooling fan that ejects hot air: be
careful not to block the air flow.
 Do not cover or cover the cooker with aluminum foil or other material that can prevent the
air re-circulation.
 Place the cable in such a way that its temperature does not exceed 50 ° C (122° F) and that it
does not come into contact with liquids; it should not be bent, crushed or cut.
7. FIRST USE
WARNING: At first ignition the thermal insulator and any residual fat residue may produce fumes
and / or vapors that are not harmful to health.
During the first period of operation, you may experience an acrid smell or an odor of burning: this
is completely normal and disappears after the first use.
1. After connecting the appliance for the first time (see chapter 6 INSTALLATION), turn on
the knob at maximum power (see chapter 8 "USE") without placing any pot or frying pan
for about 10 minutes. For the duration of the operation it is recommended to ventilate the
room.
CAUTION: This operation must be performed only once. During normal use do not use the
appliance without any container on the glassware top that absorbs heat.
2. Switch off the appliance and wait until it cools down.
3. Clean the glass top with a damp cloth.
4. Now you can use Elios Infrared.

8. USE

8.1 NORMAL USE
The knob CAN'T be turned 360°, so when the maximum power is reached (Booster), it is necessary to turn it
couterclockwise. Don't force the rotation. You risk to break it!
1. Verify that the knob is set to 0 (off).
2. Connect the power supply.
3. Place the pot at the center of the glassware top.
4. Turn the knob to the desired power value (minimum 1, maximum 6)
5. The right light (green) lights up to indicate that the appliance is switched on.
6. The ceramic glass top will start to heat up to the desired power. The infrared resistance will
turn on and off alternately automatically to maintain the power you choose.
7. As soon as the floor reaches 60 ° (140° F), the left light (orange) lights up to indicate the
presence of heat on the ceramic glass top.
When the same temperature is reached, the cooling fan of the cooker will come into operation to protect the
electrical circuitry.
8. To increase the power, turn the knob clockwise by placing it at a higher value.
9. To decrease power, turn the knob counterclockwise to the desired lower value.
10. At the end of cooking, turn off the cooker by placing the knob in position 0: the green light
will turn off while the orange residual heat indicator will remain on until the cooking hob
temperature drops below 60 ° (140° F).
8.2 BOOSTER FUNCTION
Elios Infrared is equipped with the BOOSTER function. This function, when activated, powers a
second resistance that covers the outside area of the cooking glassware top by increasing the power
(see chapter 5, figure 1.A). The resistance diameter is 280 mm and therefore it is advisable to use it
with containers that have at least this diameter.

Do not use smaller containers if equipped with plastic handles or combustible material (e.g
wood), as the released high heat would melt them or trigger a fire.
To activate the Booster function, do the following:
1. With the cooker already on, turn the knob to the position .
2. Release the knob (it will automatically return to position 6)
It will be noted that external resistance will light up along with the internal resistance.
3. Set the knob to the desired power between 1 and 6: the additional resistance will still be
active by working like the smaller one, switching on and off at the same time according to
the power set.
4. To turn off the Booster function, move the knob to the 0 position and immediately after re
put it to the desired power: now only the smaller diameter resistance will work.
5. To reactivate the booster function repeat the procedure from the beginning.
9. CLEANING
Before proceeding with cleaning, wait for all components to cool down and disconnect the plug
from the power outlet.
For proper cleaning of the Elios cast iron surface, use only neutral soap or suitable products for
enamelled surfaces. Do not use abrasive products.
Dry with a soft cloth.
N.B.
Despite the anti-acid treatment of cast iron surfaces, the long presence of acid products such as
lemon juice, tomato, vinegar and similar, can affect the enamel by making it opaque.
To clean the glassware top, use a dry cloth or moistened cloth for the small deposits of dirt,
otherwise use soapy water (in small quantities) with a non-abrasive sponge. Then rinse with a
sponge or damp cloth.
It is very important that the glassware is always clean before a new switch on of the
Elios Infrared.
In case of particularly strong stains, use non-abrasive products for ceramic glassware.
If it is a loose plastic residue or food containing sugar, immediately clean it: these substances will
opaque the glass.
There is a scraper with a razor blade included, specially designed for the glass ceramic to be used to
remove persistent deposits. This accessory is also available at specialized stores.
The use of aggressive or particularly abrasive products can cause permanent scratches or
stains on the glassware top and cast iron.
At the end of the cleaning apply a specific glass ceramic product that by depositing an invisible
protective veil on the glass surface will protect it from stains and small scratches.

DO NOT CLEAN THE APPLIANCE WITH RUNNING WATER AS IT COULD PENETRATE
INSIDE AND DAMAGE THE ELECTRICAL PARTS.
DO NOT POUR COLD WATER ON THE HOT TOP PLATE: Glassware ceramic material is
highly resistant to thermal shocks but the generated steam can be very dangerous.

10. CERTIFICATE OF WARRANTY
Fonderia Finco srl guarantees your new ELIOS INFRARED cooker for 12 months from the date of purchase.
The warranty is valid in the following terms:
This certificate of warranty must be kept together with a valid bill proving the purchase to be displayed by the user to
the authorized technicians.
During the warranty period all parts will be replaced or repaired free of charge, which, at the sole discretion of the
manufacturer, will be defective in material or workmanship, with the sole charge of a fixed contribution for on-site
intervention. If the request of maintenance is required within the first 30 days from the date of purchase, no payment
will be required.
The warranty does not become effective and the service will be paid exclusively for payment in the following
cases:
a) For imperfect and/or incomplete installation
b) For damage caused by transport
c) Damage due to atmospheric, natural and/or special events (for example lightning, earthquakes, floods, fires etc.)
d) If the serial number has been removed, canceled and/or altered
e) In the event of insufficient capacity or anomalies in the electrical installation of the installation site
f) For improper use
g) For repairs, modifications or tampering carried out by unauthorized persons by the Producer, or in any case for
causes not dependent on the manufacturer.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any damages that may result from persons, property and animals as a
result of the failure to observe all the instructions, recommendations and warnings contained in this use and
installation manual.
In case of withdrawal of the appliance at least 30 days from the date of purchase, the customer is required to
pay for the carriage as of the current tariff.

12. PACKAGING DISPOSAL AND END OF PRODUCT LIFE
Packages must be disposed of in accordance with the regulations in force in the country of use.
The wooden box with steel brackets is completely recyclable, but it is recommended to reuse it to
keep Elios safe and at the end of life of the product as a generic container.
Elios Infrared is an electrical appliance and its disposal at end of life must be done
according to the EUROPEAN WEEE Directive and cannot be disposed in
undifferentiated waste as it may contain harmful substances.
In the EXTRA EU countries it is necessary to comply with the respective laws in force.
