Grounding requirement
Your refrigerator mustbe grounded. Your refrigerator isequipped withacordhavingagroundingwirewithagrounding
plug. The plug must be insertedintoan outlet that iscorrectlyinstalled and grounded.
Incorrectuseof the grounding plug canresultin ariskof electric shock.Consultaqualified electrician or serviceperson if
the grounding instructionsarenotcompletelyunderstood,orifdoubtexistsastowhetheryourrefrigeratoriscorrectly
grounded.
ElectricalConnection

Locks
If yourRefrigerator isfittedwitha lock, keep the keyout of reach and notin the vicinityof theappliancetopreventchildren
beingentrapped.When disposing of an old Refrigerator, breakoff anyold locks or latchesasasafeguard.
Freon-free
The freon-free refrigerant(R600a)andthe foaming insulationmaterial (cyclopentane)thatis environmentallyfriendlyare
usedforthe refrigerator,causing nodamagetotheozone layerand having averysmallimpactontheglobalwarming.
R600a isflammable,and sealed in arefrigeration system,withoutleakageduring normaluse.But, in caseofrefrigerant
leakage due totherefrigerantcircuitbeingdamaged,be suretokeep the applianceawayfromopen flamesand openthe
windowsfor ventilationasquicklyaspossible.

II. Preparationsfor use
Installationlocation:
1. Ventilation condition
The positionyou selectfortherefrigeratorinstallationshould bewell-ventilatedandhaslesshotair.Donotlocatethe
refrigerator near aheat sourcesuchascooker, andavoid it fromdirectsunlight, thusguaranteeing therefrigeration effect
while saving energyconsumption.Donotlocatethe refrigeratorin thedampplace,soastopreventthe refrigeratorfrom
rusting and leaking electricity. The resultofthe total spaceofthe roomin whichthe refrigeratorisinstalledbeing divided
bythe refrigerantcharge amount ofthe refrigerator shallnot be lessthan8g/ M3.
Note:The amount of refrigerant chargedforthe refrigerator can be found on the nameplate.
2.Heat dissipationspace
Whenworking,the refrigerator givesoff heattosurroundings. Therefore,atleast 1.18in offree spaceshould be sparedat
the topside,morethan 3.94in onbothsides, andabove 1.97inat the back sideofthe refrigerator.

3.Level ground
Place the refrigeratoron the solid and flatground(floor) tokeep itstable,orelse,itwill giverise tovibration and noise.
Whenthe refrigeratorisplaced on suchflooring materialsascarpet, strawmat, polyvinylchloride,the solid backing plates
should beapplied underneaththe refrigerator,soastoprevent colorchange due toheat dissipation.
Unobstructedventilation shall be maintained aroundtheapplianceorin an embeddedstructure.
Preparationsforuse

2.Cleaning
Confirmthe accessorypartsinsidethe refrigerator andwipe the insidewithasoftcloth.
3.Power-on
Inserttheplugintothesolidsockettostartthecompressor.After1hour,opentherefrigeratordoor,ifthetemperature
inside the refrigeratorcompartmentdropsobviously, it indicatestherefrigerationsystemis working normally.
4.Storage offood
Afterthe refrigeratorrunsforaperiodoftime,theinternaltemperatureoftherefrigeratorwill beautomaticallycontrolled
accordingtothe user stemperaturesetting.Afterthe refrigeratorisfullycooled,putinfoods,whichusuallyneed2~3
hourstobe fullycooled.Insummer,when thetemperatureis high,ittakesmorethan4hoursforthefoodstobe fully
cooled (Trytoopentherefrigerator door aslessaspossible beforethe internaltemperaturecoolsdown).
If the refrigeratorisinstalled inthemoistureplace,makesuretocheckwhether thegroundwireandleakage circuit
breakerarenormal.If vibration noisesareproduced duetotherefrigeratorcontacting the wall orifthe wall getsblackened
byairconvectionaroundthecompressor,movetherefrigeratorawayfromthe wall.Settingup therefrigerator maycause
jammingnoiseorimagechaostothe mobilephone,fixed-linetelephone, radioreceiver,televisionsurroundingit,sotryto
keepthe refrigerator asfarawayaspossibleinsuchcase.
III.Functions
START
The internal temperatureofthe applianceiscontrolled byaknobinstalledinthe
refrigeratedcompartment.
The knobdialisdividedintotwoareas(i.e., rightandleft).When theknobisadjusted
within the leftarea,the applianceis setatthe fridge mode;and when the knobis
adjustedwithintherightarea,theapplianceisatthe freezermode.Fivemodesare
available ineacharea for the temperaturecontrol.
The settemperaturedecreasessuccessivelyasthecontrolknob is switched in the
clockwise direction.
Note:Abufferis designedbetween the fridge areaandthe freezer area,and do
not maketheknob switchstayin thebufferareawhen settingthe temperature.
Note:Whenyou findLED lightsflashing allthetime,pleasecontactthe
after-salesstaff forsiteserviceassoonaspossible.
Underthenormaloperatingcondition,itisrecommendedtosetthefridge orfreezer
temperatureatthe Middle mode.
Adjustingthe refrigeration temperature:
1.At thefridgemode (left area): Whenthetemperaturecontrol knobisswitchedfrom"cold" to"coldest",theappliance
temperaturegraduallydrops.
2.At the freezermode (rightarea): Whenthe temperaturecontrol knob isswitchedfromthe "cold"to"the coldest",the
appliancetemperaturedecreasesgradually.
IV.Instructionsfor food storage
Precautionsfor use
lThe appliancemightnotoperateconsistently(thereispossibilityofdefrostingortemperaturebecomingtoowarmin
the frozenfoodcompartment)when sitedforan extended period oftimebelowthe cold limitofthetemperaturerange
for whichtherefrigeratingapplianceisdesigned
lThe information ofclimatetypeof theapplianceisprovided on therating plate.
lThe internaltemperaturecould be affected bysuchfactorsasthelocation ofrefrigerating appliance,ambient
temperature,andfrequencyofdooropen,etc., and ifappropriate,awarningthatsetting ofanytemperaturecontrol
device might havetobe varied toallowfor thesefactorsshould bemade.
lEffervescent drinksshould notbe stored in the freezercompartment orthe low-temperaturecompartment,andsome
productssuchaswater icesshouldnotbe consumed too cold.
Food storage
Inthe fridge mode:It is suitableforthe storage of suchfoodsasneed nottobefrozen, the cooked food, beer, eggs, some
condimentsthatneed coldpreservation, milk, fruit juice, etc.
Inthe freezermode, itissuitable for thestorageofice cream, frozenfoodandthefoodstobe preserved foralong time.
Fridgeshelf:Whenremovingthe shelf, liftitupfirst,andthenpullit out;andwhen installing the shelf, placeitintoposition
beforeputting it down.
Crisperbox: Pull out thecrisper boxfor accesstofood.
Cautions forfood storage (inthe fridgemode)
You dbetter cleanthe foodsand wipe themdrybeforestoringtheminside therefrigerator. Beforefoodsareputin the
refrigerator, it isadvisable toseal themup,soastopreventwater evaporationtokeep freshfruitsand vegetables on one
hand,and preventtaint ofodoron theother hand.
Donotputtoo manyortooweightfoodsinsidethe refrigerator. Keep enoughspacebetween foods;iftooclose,the cold
airflowwill beblocked,thusaffectingtherefrigerationeffect. Donotstoreexcessiveoroverweightfoods,toavoidthe
shelffrombeing crushed.When storingthe foods,keep adistanceawayfromthe innerwall;and do notplacethe
water-rich foodstoo closetothefridge rear wall, lest theyget frozen on the inner wall.
Categorizedstorage offoods:Foodsshould bestored bycategory,withthe foodsyou eat everydayplaced in frontofthe

shelf, sothat thedoor open durationcanbe shortened and food spoilage duetoexpiration can be avoid.
Energy-savingtips:Allowthe hotfoodcool downtothe roomtemperaturebeforeputting itin the refrigerator. Putthe
frozen foodin thefreshfood compartmenttothaw,using the lowtemperatureofthefrozen foodtocool the freshfood,
thussavingenergy.
Storage of fruitsandvegetables
Inthecaseofrefrigeratingapplianceswithchill compartment,astatementtotheeffectthatsometypesoffresh
vegetablesandfruitsaresensitivetocoldand thereforearenot suitableforstorage in thiskind ofcompartmentshouldbe
made.
Inthe freezermode
The freezertemperatureiscontrolled below0℉,anditisadvisable tostorethefood forlong-termpreservation in the
freezer compartment, but the storage durationindicatedon thefoodpackagingshould beadhered to.
The freezer drawersareused tostorefood thatneedstobe frozen. Fishand meatoflarge blocksizeshould becut into
small piecesand packedintofresh-keepingbagsbeforetheyareevenlydistributed insidethe freezerdrawers.
Fast freezing
(1)Refer tothe descriptionaboutfast freezingfunction inthe “Function”section.
(2)Compared withthe normal freezing,fastfreezing enablesfood topassthroughthemaximumicecrystal formation
zone atthe fastestspeed. Fastfreezing can freezethe food watercontentintofineicecrystals,withoutdamaging the
cellmembrane,socell juicewill notbelostwhen thawing,and the originalfreshnessandnutritionoffoodcan be
maintained.
(3)The fast-freezingfunction isdesignedtopreservenutrition ofthe frozen food,withthe foodthoroughlyfrozen inthe
shortesttime. Fast freezing consumesmoreenergythanthenormalfreezing does.
Allowthe hotfoodstocool downtothe roomtemperaturebeforeputting theminthefreezer compartment.
Donotputaglasscontainerwithliquid orthecanned liquid thatissealedin thefreezercompartment, soastoavoid
burstdue tovolumeexpansionafter the liquid getsfrozen up.
Divide the food intoappropriatelysmallportions
You dbetter pack the food upbeforefreezingit, and thepacking bagused should be dry, in casethe packing bagsare
frozen together. Foodsshould be packed orcovered bysuchsuitable materialsasarefirm,tasteless,impervioustoair
and water, non-toxic andpollution-free, toavoid cross-contaminationandtransferof odor.
Tips forshopping thefrozenfoods
1.Whenyou arebuying frozenfood,lookat theStorage Guidelinesonthepackaging. You will be able tostoreeachitem
of frozenfoodfortheperiodshownagainstthe starrating.Thisisusuallytheperiodstatedas “Besttousethembefore×”,
found on the front of thepackaging.
2. Check the temperatureofthefrozen food cabinetin the shop whereyou buythe frozenfoods.
3. Makesurethe frozen food package is in perfect condition.
4. Alwaysbuyfrozen productslaston yourshopping trip orvisit tothesupermarket.
5. Trytokeepfrozen food together whilstshopping and on thejourneyhome,asthiswill helptokeepthe foodcooler.
6. Don t buyfrozenfoodunlessyou can freezeitstraight away. Special insulated bagscan be boughtfrommost
supermarketsandhardwareshops. Thesekeepthefrozen foodscold longer.
7.Forsomefoods,thawing beforecooking is unnecessary.Vegetablesandpastacan be added directlytoboiling wateror
steamcooked.Frozen saucesand soupscan be put intoasaucepan and heatedgentlyuntilthawed.
8. Usequalityfoodandhandle it aslittleaspossible.Whenfoodsarefrozen insmallquantities,it will takeless thanfor
themtofreezeup and thaw.
9. Estimatetheamount offoodstobe frozenup.Whenfreezing large amountsof freshfood, adjust the temperature
control knobtothe lowmode,withthe freezertemperaturelowered. So, foodscanbe frozen up in fastmanner, withthe
food freshnesswell kept.
V.Tipsfor specialneeds
Moving the refrigerator/freezer
•Location
Donotplaceyourrefrigerator/freezernearaheatsource,e.g.cooker,boilerorradiator.Avoid itfromdirectsunlightin
out-buildingsorsunlounges.
•Leveling
Makesuretolevelyourrefrigerator/freezerusing thefrontlevelingfeet. Ifnotlevel,therefrigerator/freezerdoorgasket
sealing performancewill be affected, oreven itmaylead tothe operating failureofyour refrigerator/freezer.
After locating the refrigerator/freezer in position, wait for4hoursbeforeusing it, soastoallowthe refrigeranttosettle.
•Installation
Donotcover orblock the ventsor grillesof yourappliance.
Whenyou areout for alongtime
•If the appliancewill not beused forseveralmonths, turnitoff first, and thenunplug the plugfromthe wall outlet.
•Takeout allfoods.
•Cleananddrytheinteriorthoroughly.Topreventodorand moldgrowth,leavethedoorajar:blockitopenorhavethe
door removed if necessary.
•Keep the cleanedapplianceinadry, ventilatedplaceand awayfromthe heatsource,placetheappliancesmoothly, and
do notplaceheavy objectsontop ofit.
•The unit should not beaccessible tochild splay.
VI.Maintenance and cleaning
Beforecleaning, unplug the powerplug first; Donotpluginor plugoutthe plug withwethand,because thereisarisk
ofelectricshockandinjury. Donotspillwaterdirectlyontherefrigerator,toavoidrust, electricityleakageandaccidents.

Donotstretchyourhandsinto the bottomofthe refrigerator,sinceyou might bescratchedbysharpmetal corners.
Internalcleaning and external cleaning
The food residualsinthe refrigeratorareliable toproducebad odor,sothe refrigeratormustbe cleanedregularly.The
freshfoodcompartment isusuallycleaned onceamonth.
Removeall shelves,crisperbox,bottle racks,coverboard,and drawersetc., andcleanthemwithasofttowel orsponge
dippedinwarmwater or neutral detergent.
Clear off thedustsaccumulatedon the rear panelandside platesof therefrigeratoroften.
After usingdetergent, besuretorinseit withclean water,andthenwipe it dry.
Donot usebristle brush,steelwirebrush,detergent, soap powder, alkalinedetergent, benzene, gasoline, acid, hot
waterand othercorrosiveorsoluble itemstocleansethecabinetsurface,doorgasket, plasticdecorativeparts,etc., soas
toavoid damage.
Carefullywipe drythedoorgasket, cleanthegrooveusingawoodenchopstickwrappedwithcottonstring.Afterthe
cleaning, fixthe four cornersof the doorgasketfirst, andthenembed it segmentbysegment intothedoor groove.
Interruptionofpower supplyorfailureoftherefrigerating system
Takecareof the frozen foodsin theevent ofan extended non-running of the refrigerating appliance(suchasinterruption
of power supplyor failureof therefrigerating system).
Trytoopen the refrigeratordooraslessaspossible,in thiswaycan food safelyandfreshlykeptforhourseven in hot
summer.
If you getthepower outage noticeinadvance:
1)Adjustthethermostatknob tothehigh mode an hourinadvance,sothatfoodsgetfullyfrozen (Donotstorenew
food duringthis time!). Restorethe temperaturemode totheoriginal setting when powersupplybecomesnormal ina
timelymanner.
2)You can alsomakeicewitha watertightcontainer,andput it in the upperpart of thefreezer,soastoextend thetime
for freshfood tobestored.
Note:Oncethe refrigeratorisused,you dbetteruseitcontinuously;and undernormalcircumstance,donotstop its
use,soasnot toaffect theservice life.
Defrosting
Thisapplianceis designed withautomatic defrosting function, thusno needtodefrostit manually.
Changing the lamp
The LED lampisused bythe refrigeratorforlighting,which featureslowenergyconsumptionand long servicelife. In case
of anyabnormality, pleasecontact the after-salespersonnel for visiting service.
Safety-check aftermaintenance
Isthepower cordbrokenor damaged?
Isthepower plugfirmlyinsertedintothesocket?
Isthepower plugabnormallyoverheat?
Note: Electricshockandfireaccident maybe caused in casethepower cordand plug is damaged or stained by
dust.If anyabnormality, pleaseunplug the power plug andget in contact withthe vendor.
Howtodissemble the parts
Refrigeratorshelf:
Hold thebottle rackwithbothhands, and then pushitup.
Flip cover:
Keep the flipcoverin the vertical direction,align itsright sidewiththe revolving shaft opening, and thenpullout withforce
todisassembletheflip cover.
Note:It isforbidden toclosethe door when theflipcover isopened, otherwise the refrigerator door maybe
damaged.

Reversing theDoor Swing
1.Screwoffthe screwsofthe upperhinge cover,and
removethe upperhingecover.
2. Screwoffthe threeboltsfixing theupper hinge, remove
the upperhinge,andpryoff thedoorshaftsleeve,magnet
and theproximityswitchontheupper hinge cover.
3.Screwoff thethreeboltsfixing thetop boxcoveronthe
leftside,removethe boxcover,takethewireharnessout
ofthe hole,andtransferthedoorshaftsleevefromright
sidetothe leftsideforinstallation.
4. Lift upthe refrigerator doorby50mmtoremoveit.
5.Removethefrontleveling foot, screwoffthe 4screws
fixing the hinge, andremovethe lower hinge.

6.Takeoutthe lowerlefthinge fromthe accessorybag,
and install it ontherefrigerator.
7.Removethe doorstopperand doorcloser,takeoutthe
doorcloserfromthe accessorybag,and install iton the
leftsideof the door.
8. Installthedoor onthe refrigerator.
9.Takeoutthe boltsofthe upperlefthingefromthe
accessorybag,fixthemon thecabinet,and connectthe
wiring harness.
10.Takeoutthetopleft hingecover,connectitwiththe
wiring harness, andinstall themon the cabinet.
11. Installthemagneton the left side of thedoor.
12.Removethe helphandlecover,screwoffthe handle
screws,and dismantlethehandle,asillustrated bythe

Refrigerator Warranty
Your REFRIGERATOR has been inspected and tested and is warranted subject to following for a period to 12 months from the
date of purchase against defects in workmanship and materials. During this period, we undertake to repair or replace any
defective part which was originally defective in our opinion. This warranty is null and void if the appliance is used for commercial
purposes.
This warranty is valid only when:
1. This appliance has not been opened or tampered with by any unauthorized person.
2. The appliance is brought to and taken from the retailer at the customer’s cost and risk.
3. The warranty card and Cash Memo duly signed by the authorized retailer are present with the complaint.
4. The appliance has been installed, used and maintained in accordance with the instruction manual.
The warranty does NOT apply for:
1. Damages due to chipping, peeling of coating and denting.
2. Breakage or damage to components made of Bakelite, plastic materials, rubber parts and cord.
3. Normal wear and tear of parts.
4. Damage resulting from accident, mishandling or negligence on the part of the customer. Liability for consequential loss

SECOND THROUGH FIFTH YEAR FULL WARRANTY ON SYSTEM PARTS AS LISTED In the second through fifth years from the date
of purchase, when this refrigerator is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the
product, Forte Appliances will pay for replacement parts and repair labor costs to correct defects in materials or workmanship in
system. These parts are: compressor, evaporator, condenser, dryer, and connecting tubing.
FORTE Appliances will not pay for:
1. Service calls to correct the installation of your refrigerator, to instruct you how to use your refrigerator, to replace house
fuses or correct house wiring or plumbing, to replace light bulbs, or replacement water filters other than as noted above.
2. Repairs when your refrigerator is used in other than normal, single-family household use.
3. Pickup and delivery. Your refrigerator is designed to be repaired in the home.
4. Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, fire, flood, improper installation, acts of God, or use of products
not approved by FORTE Appliances
5. Any food loss due to product failure.
6. Repairs to parts or systems resulting from unauthorized modifications made to the appliance.
7. Replacement parts or repair labor costs for units operated outside the United States or Canada.
8. Travel or transportation expenses for customers who reside in remote areas.
9. Any labor costs for replacement of the water filter during the limited warranty period.
