IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be practiced.
Heeding the following instructions will reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury.
1.READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE.
2.Do not connect the appliance to the electric power source until all packing material has
been removed.
3.Let the unit stand for at least 24 hours before turning it on to allow compressor gas to
settle if unit has been transported in a horizontal position.
4.Do not allow this appliance to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when
used by or near children.
5.This appliance should not be used by children or infirm persons without supervision.
6.Use only as described in this manual and for its intended purpose, that is, the cooling
and storing of foodstuffs and beverages.
7.All repairs, disassembly and modifications should be performed only by qualified
technicians. Attempting to perform these yourself could result in a fire, malfunction
and injury.
8.Never splash water directly onto the product or wash with water without unplugging as
a short circuit could result. In a rainy environment, a water-proof covering is
recommended.
9.Neverputflammableorvolatilesubstancesinto unitasexplosionandfire couldresult.
10.Donotdamage,modify,excessively bend, strain, twist orbundlethepowercord. Also,
placing heavy objects on the power cord or binding it could damage the cord, possibly
resulting in electrical shock or fire.

this could result in electrical shock, overheating and fire.
12.Neveruseflammablespraycansorleaveflammablesubstancesneartheunit. Sparks
fromelectricalswitches could result inexplosionor fire. If a combustiblegasis present
near the appliance, turn off the source of the gas, then open the windows and doors to
allow the gas to dissipate. Do not pull the plug or switch off the unit to avoid an
explosion.
13.The electrical socket must have good grounding. The ground wire cannot be
connected with a gas pipe, heating pipe, water pipe, telephone line or lightning rod. It

cannot be replaced with the neutral wire of single-phase power. In addition to the
ground wire, an electrical leakage circuit breaker is also required.
14.If installation in a damp location is unavoidable, have an electrician install a ground
fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) electrical outlet. If no GFCI is installed, electrical shock
could result.

3.Never place heavy objects or items containing water on top of the unit. Objects could
fall and cause injury and spilled water could cause the deterioration of the insulation of
electrical components and result in electrical shock.
4.Disconnect the unit if it is behaving abnormally, and do not reconnect until the situation
is corrected.
5.Pull out the plug before doing any maintenance on the unit to avoid electric shock.
6.This unit is not intended for the storage of medicines or chemical reagents.
7.Keep packing materials away from children.
8.During long absences, remove the cart’s contents, unplug the unit, clean it and leave it
open slightly to avoid possible formation of condensation, mold or odors. Use a cover
to protect the unit and prolong its life span.
9.Keep these instructions in a safe place for easy reference.

Assembly
1.Onthebottom of theunit,screw the twolockingcasters into place belowthe Front, and
the two non-locking casters below the Rear of the unit. NOTE: Do not invert the unit or
lay it on its side. Just tilt it to attach the wheels. If unit is inverted or laid on its side, you
must let it stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in.
2.Put the two sliding windows into place on top.
3.To install the top doors, first find the four metallic pins stored inside the unit. Insert one
pin into each of the door brackets on the upper edge of the unit, two on each side.

Place Door 1 on top of the unit in closed position, aligning the brackets on the door
edge with the brackets on the upper edge of the unit. Push or tap each pin so that it
slides into the bracket on the door. Once the pins are fully inserted, they cannot be
removed easily. Repeat with Door 2.
4.Screwthe four handle-holdersintoplaceonbothsidesof unit, usingsuppliedscrews.
5.Fit the two handles over handle-holders and tighten them with the supplied screws.
Installation
If possible, avoid placing the cart directly beside heat sources such as barbecue grills or in
directsunlightsincethiswillcausethecompressortorunforlongperiods. Iflocatednear a
source of heat, maintain the following minimum clearances:
From barbecue grills or heaters: 12“
From freezers or refrigerators: 4”
Sufficient room must be allowed around the appliance to ensure free circulation of air.
Locate the cart on a dry, solid, level surface. Once it is in position, the two casters at the
front should be locked.
Be sure the exhaust grill remains unblocked while the appliance is in use.
Electrical Connection
Plug the power cord into a dedicated 3-slot, 120VAC outlet that will accept the plug. The
Power ON light will go on.
Important! For your personal safety, this appliance must be properly grounded. In
the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of shock by providing an
escape wire for the electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having a
grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be inserted into an outlet that is
properly grounded and installed. The ground wire cannot be connected to a gas pipe,
heating pipe, water pipe, telephone line or lightning rod. It cannot be replaced with the
neutral wire of single-phase power. In addition to the ground wire, an electrical leakage
circuit breaker is also required. Consult a qualified electrician if you do not completely
understand these grounding instructions.

PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD.
If installation in a damp location is unavoidable, have an electrician install a ground fault

Do Not Use an Extension Cord
Avoid the use of an extension cord because of potential safety hazards under certain
conditions.

Operation
When the unit is first started, you will hear the compressor running almost continuously.
As the set temperature is reached, the compressor will alternately turn itself off and on
automatically to maintain the correct temperature.
Use a coin or other thin-edged device to rotate the thermostat dial. The higher the dial is
set in the clockwise direction, the lower the final temperature.
Adjust the thermostat according to the surrounding (ambient) temperature. If the ambient
temperature is 60ºF or lower, set the thermostat between “COLDER” and “COLDEST”.
Whenthe temperatureisabove60ºF,setthe thermostatbetween“COLD”and“COLDER”.
NOTE: To prevent excessive strain on the compressor, do not leave the unit at the
“COLDEST” setting for more than an hour at a time.
When many items will be stored, or if the items to be stored are relatively warm, the
thermostat should be regulated to a colder setting.
For long-term storage, set the control at “COLDER”.
To switch off the appliance, turn the thermostat to “OFF”.
When the unit is to be disconnected, pull out the power cable plug, then defrost and clean
the unit. Leave it open for storage.
Defrosting
To defrost the unit, turn off the power.
Normally, once the compressor stops running, the temperature inside the unit increases
gradually. Any frost that has collected in the unit will melt. Screw out the plug in the drain
hole on the floor of the cooling compartment and also remove the plug from the
corresponding drain hole on the outside of the unit so that any liquid that collects in the
cooling compartment can flow out through the drain hole.

Tips for Optimum Operation
•Leave space between the foodstuffs being stored to allow for efficient heat
removal and faster cooling.
•Leave at least 4 inches of space all around the unit for good ventilation. Heat will
be dispersed more efficiently and less power wasted.
•Open the doors as seldom as possible and make sure they are well closed to
save energy. Avoid keeping the doors open for a prolonged period of time.
•Choose the proper thermostat setting for the food being stored and for the
surrounding conditions.
•If the unit has been switched off, or if there has been a power loss, wait at least
five minutes before switching the unit on again. Failure to do this could affect the
life span of the compressor or even damage it.
•Never sit or climb on the cart. Do not lean on the opened doors. This could
damage the unit as well as cause personal injury.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regularcleaningand maintenance willprolongthe life of yourBeverage Cart and increase
its efficiency. Be sure to disconnect the power cord before doing any cleaning or
maintenance.
•To clean the inside and outside surfaces of the unit, wipe them with a soft, clean
cloth dampened in a dilute warm water solution of a mild detergent. Never use
organic solvents such as kerosene or turpentine. After cleaning, wipe with a
clean, dry cloth.
•Use a soft brush or vacuum to clean the exhaust grill on the side of the unit. This
should be done every week or so when the appliance is being used.
•During operation, check to be sure that the power plug is fully inserted into the
electric socket. Feel it occasionally to determine if it is unusually hot. Also check
to see if the power cord is cracked or abraded.
•When the appliance will be out of use for a long time, turn off the power, clean the
inside of the unit and wipe it with a clean, dry cloth, and leave one of the doors
open for a few days to be sure the inside is completely dry.

It’s Not Unusual
If your unit exhibits any of the following behavior patterns, you need not be overly
concerned. They are part of normal operation.
•If the surrounding temperature is unusually high, the unit may “sweat” on the
sides and doors. Just wipe off the unit with a clean cloth.
•If you hear the sound of gurgling water in the unit, it is the refrigerant flowing.
This sound can also be heard when the unit stops operating.
•When the unit is operating, it may feel warm. This is not abnormal.
•When too much food is stored at one time, it is normal for the compressor to run
for a long time, then stop.
•In summer, the warm surrounding temperature causes the compressor to run for
long periods so as to maintain the ideal temperature inside the unit. This is a
normal condition.
If you do notice a problem, first check this manual. If the problem continues, contact the
vendor. Never try to dismantle or repair the unit yourself.
Troubleshooting
The unit is not cooling
•Is the power out?
•Has the power plug been pulled from the socket?
The unit is cooling poorly
•Is the thermostat at the proper setting?
•Is the unit in direct sunlight or near a heat source?
•Is the exhaust grill obstructed?
•Is there too much food stored in the unit? Was the food stored hot or warm?
•Have the doors of the unit been opened too frequently or too long?
The compressor does not stop running
•Was too much warm food put into the unit at one time?
•Is the surrounding temperature too high?
The unit is too noisy
•Is the unit resting on a firm, level surface?
•Was the unit assembled improperly?
•Is it in contact with some form of vibration?

Limited Warranty
Franklin Industries, L.L.C., warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase or delivery. Any parts that
are determined to be defective will be replaced or repaired by Franklin at no charge as long as the
unit was operated in accordance with the instructions furnished with the product. If the unit proves
to be defective, your first course of action should be to follow the retailer’s return policy.
ThiswarrantycoversunitsonlyinthecontinentalUnitedStatesanddoesnotcoverthefollowing:
•Damage from improper voltage or installation
•Damage in shipping
•Defects other than manufacturing defects
•Glass, trim or light bulbs
•Any damage or loss to cooler contents as the result of failure of the unit to
perform as expected
•Labor or repairs after the first 12 months
•Damage from abuse, misuse, accident, alteration or lack of proper care or routine
maintenance.
•Improper or incorrectly performed maintenance or repairs
•Damage due to acts of God
Commercial warranty is limited to 90 days parts and labor.
This limited warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied. This warranty
does not cover incidental or consequential damages. Some States do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not
apply to you.
This warranty provides you with specific legal rights and you may have other rights that vary from
State to State. Consult the written materials accompanying your product for the safe and proper
operation.
