Inserting the battery
•Insert the battery until it clicks into place (Fig. A).
•If not clicked in, the battery may fall out of the tool, become damaged and/or injure you or
others in the vicinity.
•The battery has a charge status indicator. The four-stage LEDs (green) are used to
indicate the remaining capacity.
•If the control button is pressed, the battery charge status appears for five seconds and can
be read.
•The battery has thermal protection, which prevents the FUTURO cordless drill driver and
the battery from overheating. If the maximum temperature of 70°C is reached, the battery
automatically switches off and the machine can no longer be operated.

Before use:
•Make sure that the battery is properly inserted and has clicked into place.
•The rotation direction is set by the switch button.
•Right and left rotations are indicated by arrows, which are engraved on the casing.
•With the right rotation, the drill chuck rotates clockwise, and, with the left rotation, anti-clockwise.

Right/left rotation:
The rotation direction is reversible and is changed with a switch button above the control button. The right rotation is
used for drilling. The left rotation is used to remove screws or help remove stuck drill bits.
•If the left-/right-rotation switch button on the tool is moved forwards in the direction of the
drill chuck, the right rotation is activated. If the switch button is moved backwards, the left
rotation is activated.
•Setting the switch button to the middle position blocks the control button.
Gear selector for two speeds:
The high-/low-speed gear selector lets you select the perfect speed and torque for each
application. To select the low speed with high torque, switch off the drilling machine and
wait until the drill chuck stops. Push the gear selector forwards (towards the drill chuck).
The number "1" is displayed. To select the high speed with low torque, switch off the drilling
machine and wait until the drill chuck stops. Push the gear selector backwards
(away from the drill chuck). The number "2" is displayed.
Selecting the torque:
This cordless drill driver has 14 torque coupling positions and one drilling position. The
respective torque levels are clearly marked on the adjustment ring; the larger the number,
the higher the torque setting. By controlling the torque, over-tightening the screw can be
avoided during screw mounting. The correct value setting depends on the type of material
used and the size of the screw. Always use the drilling position for drilling operations or for
other applications where high performance is required, especially for metal or hardwood.
Quick-action drill chuck:
The cordless drill driver is equipped with a high-quality quick-action drill chuck. The arrows
on the drill chuck show the rotation direction of the drill chuck body for clamping or releasing
the tool.
Operation:
If you press and hold the control button, the drill chuck turns in the selected direction; the work light switches on
automatically and ensures optimum lighting of the working area. If you let go of the control button, the machine stops.

• Compare the voltage of the power source with the approved voltage on the charger's
label.
• Charging at voltages higher than those permitted may result in a fire hazard for the
charger.
• Check the cable for damage. Damaged cables must be replaced before use.
• Connect the charger to the power source. All three charging LEDs light up for 1–2
seconds
• Insert the battery upside down with the connection side into the charger. Ensure that
the battery is in contact with the path of the charger and that the contacts engage.
• If the charger detects that the battery is overheating, all three charging LEDs will flash
at the same time. Remove the battery and let the charger cool down for about 40
minutes before continuing the charging process.
• During charging, the charge status is displayed:
oLess than 30% charged: All three charging LEDs flash
oLess than 60% charged: One charging LED is on and the remaining two flash
oOver 60% charged: 2 LEDs are on and one flashes
o100% charged: All three LEDs are on
• Charging may take approximately 65 minutes.
Caution: If the battery is inserted incorrectly into the charger, the connections of the charger may become bent or
damaged. In the event of malfunctions, disconnect the charger from the power source immediately!
2. Maintenance and service
Before carrying out any service or repair work, disconnect the battery from the machine. The
motor does not require servicing; make sure that it does not become wet from liquids such as
water or oil. Clean the machine with a dry or slightly damp cloth without any additives. Use of
unapproved replacement parts will void all warranty, service, indemnity and liability claims
asserted against the manufacturer or its authorised dealers and agents.
Important information: Do not wash the machine casing or use abrasive objects to
avoid damaging the surface of the machine.
