The air filterbehindthefrontgrille
shouldbe checkedand cleanedat
leastevery 30 daysor as oftenas it
needscleaning.
Toremovethe filter:
Grasp the tab at thebottom lefiside
oftheunit and pulldownward.
Clean the filter with avacuum
cleaner to removelight dust. Wash
the filter in lukewarm, soapywater
and rinse in clear water to remove
stickydust.
When replacing the filter, be sure
the word FRONT is facing youas
you slidethe filter back intoplace.
If yourair conditionerismounted
flushinsidethe room or ifthe
windowsillextendsfurther intothe
roomthan the chassis,itmaybe
necessaryto removethe frontgrille
beforethe filter can be removed.

Toremovethe grille:
1. Gras~ the bottomofthe grille
and sw~ngit towardyou ab;ut 30
degrees.
2. Slidethe grille upward to free
the three tabs atthe top ofthe grille
from slotsin the top of the cabinet.
The air filter can nowbe removed
from the grille—graspthe tab on
the filter and pull.
After cleaning, replace the air filter
and grille, hookingtop ofgrille
onto top of cabinet and pushi~~g
bottom of grille in until it snaps
into place.
