A newly installed refrigerator may take J2 to 2/4hours to begin making ice.

The icemakerwill produce sevencubes
per cycle-approximately 100-1]0 cubes
in a 24-hour period,depending on freezer
compartment temperature, room
temperature, number of door openings
and other useconditions.
Seebelow for how to access iceand reach
the power switch on dispenser models.
If the refrigerator isoperated before the
water connection ismade to the icemaker,
set the power switch in the O (off) position.
When the refrigerator has been connected to
the water supply, set the power switch to the
I(on)position.
Theicemakerwillfillwith water when it cools
to 15°F(-10°C).A newly installedrefrigerator
may take 12to 24 hoursto begin making ice
cubes.
Youwill hear a buzzing soundeach time
the icemaker fillswith water.
Throw away the first few batches of iceto
allow the water line to clear.
Besure nothing interfereswith the sweep
of the feeler arm.
When the bin fills to the levelof the feeler
arm, the icemakerwill stop producing ice.
It isnormal for severalcubes to bejoined
together.
If ice isnot used frequently, old icecubes
will become cloudy,taste stale and shrink.
NOTE:Inhomes with lower-than-average
water pressure,Fou maF hear theicemaker
cgclemultiple timeswhen making one batch
of ice.
Models without a shelf
above the ice bin
To access ice and reach the
icemaker power switch:
oLift the bin, then pull it
forward until the bin stops.
Lower the bin to access ice
or reach the power switch.
NOTE: In order to take full
advantage of the tilt-out ice bin,
only store items on the shelf below
the ice bin that are no taller than
the lowest point on the bin.

Models
There are two types of ice storage bins
on dispenser models. One has a shelf above
the bin,the other doesnot.
Special note about dispenser models
without a shelf above the ice bin:
Thesemodels havea tilt-out ice bin.
Thebin can be tilted out as shown in
the illustrations,and itwill hold itself
up while you take ice out or turn the
icemaker power switch on and off.
Models with a shelf
above the ice bin
To access ice, pull the bin forward.
Besureto put the bin back in place _(Sh_lf _-
before closing the door.
To restore gour ice level from an emptg
bucket stage, the following steps are
recommeoaea:
O 12 hours after the first batch of ice
has fallen into the bin,dispense
] to 4 cubes.
O After an additional 6 hours, dispense
] to 4 cubes again.
To reach the power switch, pull the
shelf straight out. Always be sure to
replace the shelf
Thesesteps will restore your icelevel
in the shortest amount of time.
