ZEB PANO –assembled and ready to use

Mounting and installation
•Once the system is
assembled, use the
reference plate to keep the
scanner static during
initialisation
•Connect ZEB REVO/RT to
the data logger and its
battery using the cable
provided

Capturing data
•Having ZEB PANO assembled turn on the data logger and wait for
the geoslam-rt network to become available. Connect to this network
on a device you’ll be using for scanning (any smartphone, tablet,
etc.)
•In the browser navigate to http://192.168.102.2/, wait for the page to
load and tap on “start scan”. Turn on the scanner rotation using the
button on the side of the scanner hear and attach your device to the
back of the PANO using the magnetic plate provided
•Make sure to take several steps before capturing your first image

Capturing data
•Start scanning your environment as with any other Revo RT scanner
•When ready to take a picture –stop and, while being stationary, take a
picture using the remote camera trigger provided with ZEB PANO
•Make sure to stay stationary whilst capturing imagery, staying static
several seconds before and after the audio confirmation which indicates
that a picture has been taken
• When you’re done, keep walking and scanning the environment until
you’re ready to take another picture. Repeat the process until the scan is
completed

Capturing data
•Where possible, finish the scan in the same place where you started
–closing the loop allows SLAM to match your data as precisely as
possible
• To complete the data capture, tap on the “stop scan” button and stop
the scanner rotation by pressing the button on the side of the
scanner head. Wait for the optimisation to finish and you’re ready to
download the data
•A minimum of three images are required for PANO images to
process successfully in HUB

Processing data
•Connect to geoslam-rt network and
navigate to http://192.168.102.2/ in the
browser. This will load the preview of the
last scan
•Click on the folder icon to access the
administration page which allows you to
download, view or delete your last (or any
previous) scan

Processing data
•Download the last scan as .geoslam
file, open Hub, drag and drop your
.geoslam file
•After the file is ready make sure the
scan looks correct (if it needs
reprocessing do it at this stage)

Downloading images
•Connect the camera to your machine using the USB cable
from the trigger and download all relevant images
•It may be good practice to save these in a separate folder in
the same destination as your GeoSLAM scan data.
•Make sure images are not mixed between different sessions.
•Good data management is required.

Processing data
•Open HUB, drag and drop your
.geoslam file
•After the file is ready make sure the scan
looks correct in the viewer (if it needs
reprocessing do it at this stage)
•Having a point cloud ready in Hub, add
your images by clicking the “Add PANO
images” menu option and navigating to
the folder where you saved all the
images
• Highlight all images and click “Import”
