PreparingYourComputer
The motherboardcontainsnumerousdelicateelectroniccircuitsand componentswhichcan
becomedamaged asaresultofelectrostaticdischarge (ESD).Thus,priortoinstallation,please
followthe instructionsbelow:
1.Pleaseturnoff the computerand unplug itspowercord.
2.When handling the motherboard,avoidtouching anymetalleadsorconnectors.
3. It isbesttowearan electrostaticdischarge (ESD)cuff when handling electroniccomponents
(CPU,RAM).
4.Priortoinstalling the electroniccomponents,pleasehavetheseitemson top ofan antistaticpad or
withinaelectrostaticshielding container.
5.Pleaseverifythatyou the powersupplyisswitched off beforeunplugging the powersupplyconnector
fromthe motherboard.

Beforeinstalling the CPU,pleasecomplywiththe following conditions:
1.Pleasemakesurethatthe motherboardsupportsthe CPU.
2.Pleasetakenoteofthe one indented cornerofthe CPU.If you install the CPUinthe wrong
direction,the CPUwill notinsertproperly.If thisoccurs,pleasechange the insertdirection
ofthe CPU.
3.Pleaseadd an even layerofheatsinkpastebetween the CPUand heatsink.
4.Pleasemakesurethe heatsinkisinstalled on the CPUpriortosystemuse,otherwise
overheating and permanentdamage ofthe CPUmayoccur.
5.Pleasesetthe CPUhostfrequency inaccordancewiththe processorspecifications.It isnot
recommended thatthe systembusfrequency be setbeyond hardwarespecificationssinceit
doesnotmeetthe required standardsforthe peripherals.If you wishtosetthe frequency
beyond the properspecifications,pleasedo soaccording toyourhardwarespecifications
including the CPU,graphics card,memory,harddrive,etc.

The heatsinkmayadheretothe CPUasaresultofhardening ofthe heatsinkpaste.Toprevent
suchan occurrence,itissuggested thateitherthermaltape ratherthan heatsinkpastebe used for
heatdissipation orusing extremecarewhen removing the heatsink.

can onlyfitinone direction.Insertthe DIM M memorymodule
verticallyintothe DIMM socket. Then pushitdown.

The motherboardsupportsDDR memorymodules,wherebyBIOSwill automaticallydetectmemory

Beforeinstalling the memorymodules,pleasecomplywiththe following conditions:
1.Pleasemakesurethatthe memoryused issupported bythe motherboard.It isrecommended that
memoryofsimilarcapacity,specificationsand brand be used.
2.Beforeinstalling orremoving memorymodules,pleasemakesurethatthe computerpowerisswitched
off topreventhardwaredamage.
3.Memorymoduleshaveafoolproofinsertion design.Amemorymodulecan be installed inonlyone
direction.If you areunabletoinsertthe module,pleaseswitchthe direction.

1-5Installation ofExpansion Cards
You can install yourexpansion cardbyfollowing the stepsoutlined below:
1.Read the related expansion card'sinstruction documentbeforeinstall the expansion cardintothe
computer.
2.Removeyourcomputer'schassiscover,screwsand slotbracketfromthe computer.
3.Press the expansion cardfirmlyintoexpansion slotinmotherboard.
4.Besurethe metalcontactson the cardareindeed seated inthe slot.
5.Replacethe screwtosecurethe slotbracketofthe expansion card.
6.Replaceyourcomputer'schassiscover.
7.Poweron the computer,ifnecessary,setup BIOSutilityofexpansion cardfromBIOS.
8. Install related driverfromthe operating system.
Installing aAGPexpansion card:
Pleasecarefullypull outthe small white-
drawablebaratthe end ofthe AGPslot
when you trytoinstall/uninstall the VGA
card.Pleasealign the VGAcardtothe
onboardAGPslotand press firmlydownon
the slot. MakesureyourVGAcardislocked
bythe small white-drawablebar.
