Safety warnings and care instructions

Basic safety for Jacquard Tag

WARNING: HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION

Toavoiddamagingyourdevice,accessoriesoranyconnecteddevices,and

toreducetheriskofpersonalinjury,discomfort,propertydamageorother

potential hazards, follow the precautions below:

• HandleyourJacquardTagwithcare.YoumaydamagetheJacquard

Tagorthebatteryifyoupuncture,burn,deform,crush,drop,modify,

attempt to insert foreign objects into or disassemble them. Using a

damagedJacquard Tagmaycausebattery overheatingor injury.If

theJacquardTaggetswet,donotattempttodryitusinganexternal

heat source.

• Jacquard is designed to work best in ambient temperatures between

32°and95°F(0°to35°C),andshouldbestoredbetweenambient

temperaturesof-4°and 113°F(-20°and45°C).Do not expose

theJacquardTagtotemperaturesabove113°F(45°C),suchason

prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, on a car dashboard or near a

heatingvent,asthismaydamagetheproduct,overheatthebattery,or

poseariskofre.DonotleaveyourJacquardTaginthecarinterioror

trunkduringhotdaysforanextendedperiodoftime.IftheJacquard

Tag becomes too hot, disconnect it from its power source if it is plug-

gedin,moveittoacoolerplaceanddonotuseituntilithascooled.

Repair & Service

DonotattempttorepairtheJacquardTagyourself.Disassemblingthe

Jacquard Tag may result in loss of water resistance. Disassembling

JacquardTagsmaycauseinjury.

Battery

TheJacquardTagcontains alithium-ionbattery,whichis a sensitive

componentthatcancauseinjuryifdamaged.Donotattempttoremove

thebattery.ForbatteryservicecontactGMR customerserviceviathe

options found at www.adidas.com/GMR

Replacementbynon-qualiedprofessionalscandamageyourdevice.Use

ofanunqualiedbatteryorimproperbatteryusemaypresentariskof

re,explosion,leakage,orotherhazard.Disposeofyourdevice,battery,

and accessories according to local regulations. Do not dispose of them in

normalhouseholdwaste.Improperdisposalmayleadtore,explosion,

and/or other hazards.

Charging

You will need to charge the Jacquard Tag before use. Remove the

Jacquard Tag from the insoles prior to charging. Be sure the charger and

JacquardTagarewellventilatedwheninuseorwhilecharging.Using

damaged cables or chargers, or charging when moisture is present, can

causere,electricshock,injury,ordamagetotheJacquardTagorother

property.AvoidchargingtheJacquardTagindirectsunlightorinambient

temperaturesabove95°F(35°C).OnlychargetheJacquardTagwitha

USBportcompliantwithUSB2.0orUSB3.0TypeAstandards,oraUSB

poweradapterthathasbeencertiedwithalimitedpowersourceorPS1

outputperIEC60950-1/IEC62368-1,withoutputrated5Vdc,1A.Failure

tousecompatiblechargingaccessoriescancausere,electricshock,

injury,ordamagetothedeviceandtheaccessories.

Radio Frequency Interference

Observerulesthatprohibittheuseofwirelesstechnology(e.g.,cellular

orWi-Fi).AlthoughJacquardisdesigned,tested,andmanufacturedto

complywithregulationsgoverningradiofrequencyemissions,suchemis-

sionscannegativelyaffecttheoperationofotherelectronicequipment.

Forexample,whileyinginanaircraftorimmediatelybeforeboarding,

useJacquardonlyaccordingtoinstructionsprovidedbytheairline.Use

ofbluetoothinanaircraftmaydisruptwirelessnetworks,presentaha-

zardtoaircraftoperation,orbeillegal.Pleasecheckwithyourairlineif

disablingbluetoothfunctionalityontheJacquardTagisnecessary.Follow

the instructions to power-off the Jacquard Tag and disable Bluetooth pro-

videdwithintheadidasGMRApp.

Explosive Atmospheres

Donotcharge,use,store,ortransportyourJacquardTagwhereamma-

blesorexplosivesarestored(ingasstations,fueldepots,orchemical

plants,forexample).Donotuseyourwirelessdevicewhereblastingope-

rationsareinprogress,orinpotentiallyexplosiveatmospheressuchasin

areaswheretheaircontainshighlevelsofammablechemicals,vapors,

or particles (such as grain, dust, or metal powders). Sparks in such areas

couldcauseanexplosionorreresultinginbodilyinjuryorevendeath.

Observeallnoticesandsignswherethesehazardsmightbepresent.

Medical Device Interference

Jacquard contains components and radios that emit electromagnetic

eldsandcouldinterferewithpacemakers,debrillatorsorother(im-

planted)electronicmedicaldevices.Ifyouhaveapacemakerorother

implantedmedicaldevice(s),contactyour physicianormedicaldevice

manufacturertomakesureitissafetouseJacquard.Werecommend

youhaveanexercisetestunderyourdoctor’ssupervisiontoensurethe

safetyandreliabilityofthesimultaneoususeofyourimplanteddevice

andthisequipment.IfyouhavequestionsaboutusingJacquardwithor

Thisisnotatoy.Keepoutofreachofchildren.Thisproductisnotinten-

dedtobeusedbychildren.Containssmallpartsnotsuitableforchildren

under3years.Ifswallowed,contactadoctorimmediately.

Proper Handling and Usage for Jacquard

Tag

Operating Temperatures

If the interior temperature of the Jacquard Tag exceeds or falls below

normaloperatingtemperatures,youmayexperiencethefollowingbeha-

viorswhilethedevicetriestoregulateitstemperature:reducedbattery

performanceandconnectivity,inabilitytocharge,lackofLEDandvib-

rationnotication(forJacquardcompatibledevicesthatsupportthese

functions)ordevicepowerdown.Youmaynotbeabletousethedevice

whileitregulatesitstemperature.Movethedevicetoacooler(orwar-

mer) location and wait a few minutes before attempting to use it again.

Connectors and Ports

Whendisconnectingthepoweradapterfromapoweroutlet,pullonthe

adapter,neveronthecable.DonottwistorpinchtheUSBcableanddo

not force a connector into a port.

Power Supply

Installyourpowersupplynearawallsocketthatiseasilyaccessible.

PowersupplyisnotincludedwiththeJacquardTag.

Water Resistance

The Jacquard Tag is resistant to rain and splashing and can be used

outdoors,butitisnotfullywaterproof.DonotsubmergetheJacquard

TaganddonotusetheJacquardTaginsideaverywetshoe.Allowthe

JacquardTag, insole,orotherJacquardcompatibledevicetodry and

resumeusing.DonotwashtheJacquardTagasdoingsomaydamage

theTag.TheJacquardTaghasawaterprotectionratingofIP54under

IEC60529.If yourJacquardTagisdamaged,waterresistancemaybe

compromised.

Storage

FullychargetheJacquardTagandstoredisconnectedfromtheinsole

orotherJacquardcompatibledeviceandyourphonewhennotinuseto

maximizebatterylife.

Service, Repair & Support

ContactcustomerserviceanddonotusetheJacquardTagifitisnot

workingproperlyorhasbeendamaged.

Unauthorizedrepairsormodicationscouldresultinpermanentdamage

toyourJacquardtagortheinsoleandmayaffectyourwarrantycoverage

Care and Cleaning for GMR insole

YourGMRinsoleconsistsofahigh-performanceEVAcompound.Never-

theless,treatitwithcareandmakesureyouairdryitonceithasgotwet.

Alwayshandletheshoeswithcarewhenthedeviceisintegrated.(i.e.do

not hit the shoe against walls or sharp edges.)

RemovetheJacquardTagbeforewashingandcleaningtheinsoleorthe

shoes.DonotwashordrytheJacquardTag.TocleantheJacquardTag,

wipeitwithasoftdryordampcloth.Donotusesoaps,solventsorabra-

sivesontheJacquardTag.

Tag)originallypurchasedfromadidasoranauthorizedadidasretailerthat

adidasretailerthatcanbeidentiedbythe„adidas“trademark,trade

name,orlogoafxedtothem(referredtoasthe“Product”).

adidasAG[adidasAustraliaPtyLimitedandadidasNewZealandLimited]

warrants the Product to be free of defects in materials and workmanship,

whenusednormallyinaccordancewithadidas’sGMRUserGuideavai-

lableattheGMR website[www.adidas.com/GMR],fora period ofone

yearfromthedateofinitialpurchasebytheoriginalconsumerpurchaser

(“WarrantyPeriod”).adidasisnotresponsiblefordamagearisingfrom

failure to follow the instructions, maintenance and care procedures in the

GMRUserGuideavailableattheGMRwebsite[www.adidas.com/GMR].

Thislimitedwarrantyexcludesdamageresultingfrom normalwearor

othercauseslistedunderWarrantyExclusionsbelow.

REMEDY

HOW TO CLAIM UNDER THIS WARRANTY

IfduringtheWarrantyPeriodyousubmitaclaimtoadidasatwww.adidas.

cominaccordancewiththiswarranty,adidaswillreplacetheProduct

withthesameProductformedfromnewand/orpreviouslyusedpartsthat

areequivalenttonewinperformanceandreliability.

Beforereceivingwarrantyservice,adidasoritsagentsmayrequirethat

youfurnishproofofpurchasedetails,respondtoquestionsdesignedto

assist with diagnosing potential issues and follow adidas‘s procedures for

obtainingwarrantyservice.

IfadidasoritsagentsrequiresinspectionoftheProductpriortoproviding

warrantyservice,youmayberequiredtoreturntheProducttoadidas

AustraliaPtyLtdattheaddresssetoutbelowviapostatyourowncost.
