Introduction

The Favard is the top player of the state-of-
the-art Diamond Line, featuring top class
design in digital and analogue stage but even
one of the most massive power supply
available for a CD player unit.
The transport mechanism is of the drawer type made of aluminium it enables the smoothest possible
rotational stability reducing the speed fluctuation as well.
The Favard is powered by a double battery automatic rechargeable power supply and 8 linear transformers
inductive 4 tube power supply.
The Double Battery power supply drives the analog and the input stage to achieve the best noiseless audio
purity.
The massive 8 linear transformers inductive power supply having 4 tubes also, manages the Class A analogue
tube output stage. Besides the inductive power supply drives all the digital stages and the mechanic
transport guaranteeing perfect stability control.
The very high mass chassis is also able to control the energy of vibration feedback featuring a high class
cosmetic solution match perfectly the Demidoff units as well.
The Favard is available in a variety of options being a digital transport unit only but even it is even offered as
a full equipped unit featuring DAC solution with four coaxial digital inputs and 1 USB 24/192 High Speed
asynchronous port conveniently converts the signal of any other digital source offering best top solutions.
Besides the Favard can optionally acts as stereo input pre unit featuring a top class volume control having
single resistor on the audio signal path having one stereo RCA input.
The extended use of the superior class components such as high quality capacitors and resistors redefine new
standards in the digital players’ world market.

(Positioning of the unit)
The Favard CD Player has been designed for use in Hi-Fi systems in sheltered locations. It ought therefore to be protected
from any eventual variations in temperature and humidity. Avoid using in the vicinity of radiators or other strong heat
sources, electrical and electronic motors, switched on mobile phones etc.
The location in proximity of other audio components is not theoretically critical, but you should nevertheless pay attention
to this. If it should have to be moved after the installation, certain readjustments may need to be made. In any case, take
care to switch OFF and detach the AC power chord from the AC wall plug the Favard CD Player every time you need to
move it.
The high weight of the unit is not suitable to be positioned on any other components of the hi-fi system.

To validate the warranty is necessary to register the unit on the Goldenote internet web site within 15 days from the
purchase: http://www.goldenote.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=14&Itemid=31&lang=en
If the unit is not registered correctly or is been purchased from a different country of the purchaser origin/home the unit
will not be covered by any warranty and the eventual registration refused.
The warranty does not does not cover in any case: Tubes, Phono Cartridge Styli and Batteries.

guaranteed. In spite of this it is possible that problems may emerge which non-specialist users cannot resolve. In this case,
contact your dealer who will advise you on how to resolve the problem.
Do not return any object directly to the factory or to the national distributor or without being authorized to do so. In such
cases both GOLDENOTE® and the distribution agents operating within your territory decline responsibility of any kind.

ACTION DESCRIPTION HOW TO ADJUST IT
LEVELLING THE CD PLAYER
The CD Player is not
performing top level
Take care of levelling the unit with the
help of a spirit level.
The CD PLAYER tray does sticks
open even when the display shows
“closing” after the right command
is pressed
The CD Player bottom rails
are dry or dirty
With EXTREME care exclusively using
alcohol and a soft 100% cotton cloth sweep dust
and stains out.
Drop some liquid but adhesive oil of the tray rails
and move the part in&out to share it well.
CLEANING THE CD PLAYER
The CD Player is dirty and
needs to be cleaned
Clean the Player exclusively using alcohol and a
soft 100% cotton cloth sweep dust and stains out.
Do not touch the writes of the front panel ever.
Any acid or synthetic cloth may irreversibly
damage the CD Player fine aesthetic.

are compatible with the unit.
The unit CAN NOT play the
MP3 Files.
