SERVICE MANUAL
For these TV sets the Service Manual CUC 6360/65 is applicable.
This Manual describes the differences and the additionally fitted
modules of the TV receivers and contains also a description of the
Mega Logic Control.
Theindividualmodules andtherelevant partnumbers are listedin the
table on page 2.
Basic instructions for servicing are given in the:

4GRUNDIG Service
Megalogic Control
Megalogic communication is effected by means of a bidirectional
single-line communication bus interface between the television, video,
and audio system components via pin 10 of the EURO-AV-2 socket.
This connection allows easier control (e.g. one button for a function
controlling several components) and tuning or adjustment (e.g. same
allocation of the terrestrial channels for TV and VCR or SAT receivers)
of the connected subscribers among each other.
Control and/or data communication among the subscribers is effected
-notvisiblefortheuser-via"Frames"or"EACEMmessages"according
to a fixed pattern (bit or byte sequence). An "EACEM-message"
consists of a start bit plus 21 bits, (5 header bits and 16 data bits).
In connection with the loop-through AV switching voltage at contact 8
of the EURO-AV 2 socket the following features can be realized:
– The video recorder switches the TV receiver on (One Touch Play).
– The video recorder switches the TV receiver on/off.
Additionally the text information from the video recorder is indicated
on the screen (One Touch VPT).
– The video recorder displays the current operating mode of the deck
via OSD on the screen (Status VCR).
– Transfer of the programmed television stations from the television
receiver to the video recorder (Upload) and vice versa (Download).
– The video recorder records the currently viewed programme of the
television receiver (What you see is what you record).
The data from contact 10 of the EURO-AV2 socket is fed in via the
transistor stage T853 at IC830-(37). The data fed out at IC830-(30) is
taken via T852 to contact 10 of the EURO-AV2 socket.
If the Megalogic evaluation is not fitted the bridges BR834 and BR851
are inserted.
Megalogic-Steuerung
BeiderMegalogic-Kommunikationhandeltessichumeinebidirektionale
Eindrahtkommunikationsbus-SchnittstellezwischenFernseh-,Video-
und Audio-Komponenten über Pin 10 der EURO-AV-Buchse 2.
Diese Verbindung ermöglicht eine einfachere Bedienung (z.B. eine
Taste für eine mehrere Geräte übergreifende Funktion) und Abstim-
mungoder Angleichung(z.B. gleicheterrestrische Kanalbelegungbei
TV und VCR oder Sat-Receivern) der angeschlossenen Teilnehmer
untereinander.
Die Steuer- und/oder Daten-Kommunikation der einzelnen Teilneh-
meruntereinandererfolgt-fürdenBenutzerunsichtbar-über"Frames"
bzw. "EACEM-Meldungen" nach einem festgelegten Protokoll (Bit-
bzw.Byte-Folge). Eine"EACEM-Meldung" bestehtausdem Start-Bit,
plus 21 Bits, (5 Header-Bits und 16 Daten-Bits).
InVerbindungmit derdurchschleifbaren AV-SchaltspannunganKon-
takt 8 der EURO-AV-Buchse 2 sind folgende Features möglich:
– DerVideorecorderschaltetdasFernsehgerätein(OneTouchPlay).
– Der Videorecorder schaltet das Fernsehgerät ein/aus.
Zusätzlich wird die Texteinblendung des Videorecorders am Bild-
schirm angezeigt (One Touch VPT).
– DerVideorecorderblendet perOSD dieaktuelleLaufwerksfunktion
am Bildschirm ein (Status VCR).
– ÜbertragenderSendereinstellungenvomFernsehgerätzumVideo-
recorder (Upload) oder umgekehrt (Download).
– DerVideorecordernimmtdasaktuelleProgrammdesFernsehgerä-
tes auf (What you see is what you record).
Die Datenübernahme vom Kontakt 10 der EURO-AV2-Buchse erfolgt
über die Transistorstufe T853 an IC830-(37). Die Datenausgabe an
IC830-(30)gelangtüberT852zumKontakt10derEURO-AV2-Buchse.
Istdie Megalogic-Auswertungnichtbestückt,sinddie BrückenBR834
und BR851 gesetzt.
