FEATURES
• Employs reliable solid-state thermoelectric technology. The fans
are the only moving parts. No CFC's or coolant to leak.
• Operates on 12 Volt DC power. Typical current draw: 4.5 amps DC.
With the optional AC adapter it can be operated from a 120 Volt AC
wall outlet. AC adapter current draw: 1 amp AC.
• Typical cooling performance is between 15°C/27°F and 22°C/40°F
below ambient temperature.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Just plug your cooler into the 12 volt power receptacle in your
vehicle (recommended). The current consumed is about 4.5 amps.
When your vehicle is running and the electrical system is operating
properly, your cooler will operate continuously without discharging
the battery. When the battery is not being charged, the cooler
should not be operated for more than 4 hours.
2. The cooler can be operated continuously from a 110/120 volt AC
wall outlet using the optional HALO Hybrid Cooler/Heater Bag
AC Adapter.
For best results, precool your unit and the food and beverages
before placing them in your cooler. If the cooler is loaded with
warm material, it will require at least 12 hours to cool the contents.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
CAUTION - Read all safety information before using this product.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in electrical shock,
explosion, fire which may result in serious injuries, death or
property damage.
• The HALO Hybrid Cooler/Heater Bag is designed to operate on 12
volts direct current only. Do not attempt to connect it directly to 1
10/120 volt AC wall socket without using the optional HALO
Thermoelectric Cooler Bag Power Adapter.
• Do not use the HALO Hybrid Cooler/Heater Bag with any other AC
adapter device other than the optional HALO Hybrid Cooler/Heater
Bag Power Adapter. Failure to do so may invalidate warranty and
pose a hazard.
• Do not operate the HALO Hybrid Cooler/Heater Bag in direct
sunlight or in hot enclosed areas such as automobile trunks. The
cooler generates heat and must have free air circulation to
perform properly.
• Do not block the ventilation area of the control panel. Free flow of
air is necessary for effective heat transfer. Regularly check the
panel for dirty or clogged vents.
• Ensure that the 12V power socket is clean and safeguarded by a
correctly fused circuit.
• Push plug firmly into the 12V power receptacle to ensure good contact.

MAINTENANCE AND
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
• Keep cords and 12V power sockets clean at all times. Dirt particles
in the socket may affect performance.
• To clean wipe the inside with a warm damp cloth or sponge. Do not
use harsh or abrasive cleaners. A mild soap should be sufficient,
but if stains or odors remain, household bleach or baking soda
may be added to the cleaning solution. Keep the lid open for
several hours after cleaning to allow the interior to dry thoroughly
and to prevent odors from forming in the cooler.
• For long periods of storage, a small container of baking soda or
charcoal, placed inside, will eliminate objectionable odors.

grounded. Operation with non-certified peripherals or non-shielded
cables may result in interference to radio or reception.

At HALO, we are dedicated to making the best quality products. To
back this up, this product is warranted. HALO warrants its products
to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal
use. During the first 90 days from date of purchase, HALO will repair
or replace the defective product. This warranty does not affect any
statutory rights that you may be entitled to. Keep a copy of your
purchase receipt as proof of purchase.
