installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no

Getting Started
Powering the KBA100N
1. Plug the included AC power supply into the Power Jack on the Music Port.
2. Plug the other end of the AC power supply into an appropriate wall outlet.
Connecting your audio input/output to the KBA100N
1. Connect the “Audio Out” jacks of the Music Port to a normal stereo headset or “Audio In” jacks on your
home stereo system.
2. Connect the “Audio In” jacks of the Music Port to “Audio Out” jacks of your computer or home stereo
system.
Using KBA100N as a Bluetooth stereo audio transmitter
As a transmitter, the Music Port transmits the audio from the “Audio In” jack wirelessly to a Bluetooth stereo
headset.
1. Pair with a neighbouring Bluetooth stereo headset
- Place the stereo headset close to the Music Port and put the stereo headset into pairing mode.
Note: Please refer to the user manual of the stereo headset on how to put it into pairing mode.
- Place the Music Port into “Transmitter” mode.
Turn on the Music by pressing briefly the “PWR” button.
Switch the Music Port to the “Transmitter” mode.
Pressing briefly the “PWR” button once will change the mode. Keep pressing the “PWR” button until the mode is
“Transmitter” mode. When the Music Port is in “Transmitter” mode, the Transmitter Indicator Light will turn on.
-Put the Music Port into pairing state
Press briefly the “PAIR” button. Now, the Music Port goes into pairing as a Transmitter. The Transmitter
Indicator Light blinks to indicate that the Music Port is in pairing.
If everything runs smoothly, the Music Port will pair and connect up to the neighbouring Bluetooth stereo headset.
2. Audio streaming
The audio will start streaming wirelessly from the Music Port to the headset after connection is successful.
The Transmitter Indicator Light blinks quickly to indicate that streaming is in progress.

Using KBA100N as a Bluetooth stereo audio receiver
As a receiver, the Music Port receives the audio wirelessly from a Bluetooth audio transmitter and pumps it out of
its “Audio Out” jack.
1. Pair with a neighbouring Bluetooth audio transmitter.
- Place the Bluetooth audio transmitter close to the Music Port and put it into pairing mode.
Note: The Bluetooth audio transmitter can be a A2DP-capable mobile phone or PC. Please refer to the user
manual of these devices on how to put them into pairing mode.
- Place the Music Port into “Receiver” mode. Turn on the Music by pressing briefly the “PWR” button.
Switch the Music Port to the “Receiver” mode.
Pressing briefly the “PWR” button once will change the mode. Keep pressing the “PWR” button until the mode is
“Receiver” mode. When the Music Port is in “Receiver” mode, the Receiver Indicator Light will turn on.
-Put the Music Port into pairing state
Press and hold the “PAIR” button for 3 seconds. Now, the Music Port goes into pairing as a Receiver.
If everything runs smoothly, the Music Port will pair and connect up to the neighbouring Bluetooth stereo headset.
The Receiver Indicator Light blinks to indicate that the Music Port is in pairing.
2. Audio streaming
The audio will start streaming wirelessly from the Music Port to the headset after connection is successful.

KBA100N Modes
Mode Description
Transmitter Transmit stereo audio wirelessly from “Audio In” jack to Bluetooth stereo headset
Receiver Receives stereo audio wirelessly from Bluetooth stereo headset to “Audio Out” jack
Bypass Audio is sent from “Audio in” jack to “Audio out” jack
Combo Combines Bypass mode and Transmitter mode

KBA100N functions
Function Action
Turn on Music Port Short-press or press and hold “PWR” button for 3 seconds.
Turn off Music Port Press and hold “PWR” button for 3 seconds.
Change mode Short-press “PWR” button to select different working modes.
Enter Pairing mode Short-press “PAIR” button to go into pairing when in “Transmitter” mode and idle
state (neither pairing nor streaming audio).
Press and hold “PAIR” button for 3 seconds to go into pairing when in “Receiver”
mode and idle state.
Music Port is not streaming any audio at this point.
Exit Pairing mode If already in pairing state, short-press “PAIR” button to exit pairing.
Indicator Lights
L1: Bypass indicator
L2: Transmitter indicator
L3: Receiver indicator
Indicator Light Description
L1 on, L2 and L3 off Bypass mode
L2 on, L1 and L3 off Transmitter mode and in idle state (neither pairing nor streaming audio).
L3 on, L1 and L3 off Receiver mode and in idle state
L1 and L2 on, L3 off Combo mode and in idle state
L2 blinks slowly Pairing in Transmitter mode
L2 blinks quickly Audio streaming in Transmitter mode
L3 blinks slowly Pairing in Receiver mode
