iii Right-click the device icon in the Device box and select Connect in the device context
menu.
If the ping fails and the device fails to connect, check your network connections and
settings.
iv Click Device Explorer in the EMS toolbar to display input and output stream trees.
How to Configure and Monitor the ProView 7000
You can configure and monitor the ProView 7000 with either the front panel or over an IP
network using the ProView 7000 EMS.

Configuring the ProView 7000 using the Front Panel
The ProView 7000 has four logical multiplexes. A license is required for using more than one
multiplex.
To configure the ProView 7000 via the Front Panel:
1. If the input stream is received from a satellite, navigate
Root > 1 Reception > 1 Configuration and configure the receiver parameters according to
your satellite parameters.
2. If you wish to use GbE output:
iNavigate
Root > 4 GbE > 1 GbE Port (1 or 2) > IP Configuration.
ii Configure the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway.
iii Select 4 Apply Port Changes.
iv Select 1 Apply Changes.
vNavigate
Root > 4 GbE > 1 GbE Port (1 or 2) > 3 Admin Status.
vi Set the Admin Status to Up.
vii Navigate Root > 4 GbE > 3 Socket Configuration > 1 Socket Out > 1 Socket (1,2,3 or 4).
viii Configure the Destination IP Address and the Destination UDP Port.
ix Set the Socket Status to Up.
3. If you wish to descramble, you must associate the CAM to the multiplex:
iNavigate
Root>6CAM>CAM(1or2)>1CAMAssociation.
ii Select a multiplex, TS1, TS2, TS3 or TS4.
The descrambling mode default is Selective, you can change the mode to Full.
4. To access the CAM MMI menu, select CAM MMI.
5. Select an input port:
iNavigate
Root > 3 Routing and Descrambling > 1 TS (1,2,3 or 4) > 2 Input Selection.
ii Select an input port for the received transport stream (Options: SAT 1, ASI 1, ASI 2
and ASI 3).
