1. Insert cushion into the
zippered pocket at the bottom
of the HangOut.
2. Locate the four short steel rods
that will make up the top ring and
assemble into two half-circles,
using two of the included screws.
3. One half-circle at a time,
making sure the screw holes
are accessible, slide each half
through the sleeve around the
top of the HangOut.
4. Connect the two half-circles with
two screws. Close the hook-and-
loop fl ap.*
5. Repeat process for bottom ring.

It is imperative that you observe all relevant instructions for installation, assembly, use, and safety. Do not exceed the maximum
weight limit. Please retain these instructions for future reference.
Tip: We recommend temporarily hanging up the HangOut by its attached O-ring for assembly. It will be easier to fi nd the features referenced in each step.

DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 3 TO USE THIS HANGOUT. BABIES SHOULD NEVER BE PLACED IN THE HANGOUT.
The HangOut is intended solely for family and domestic use, not for a commercial playground or daycare.
Not intended for use as a swing, tent, spinner,gymnastics or playground equipment, climbing frame,or any combination.
Not recommended for extended outdoor use.
Children must not use the HangOut until it has been properly installed.
The HangOut has a limited lifespan. Exposure to heavy loads, direct sunlight, damp weather conditions, and frequent cleaning with harsh chemicals will
shorten the lifespan, therefore, we recommend bringing indoors when not in use.
Do not exceed the maximum 250 lbs. carrying capacity of the HangOut.
Your HangOut needs to be checked regularly for wear and tear. This might be evident through distinct changes in color of the fabric or in the appearance of
the hanging apparatus. If damage is found, the full carrying capacity is no longer warranted. Discontinue use and replace the HangOut.
Never leave children unattended in your HangOut.Make sure that the product is not misused.Twisting should be avoided as it stresses the hanging
hardware. Be aware that there is no safety belt that could prevent a child from falling out of the HangOut.
The battery pack is not waterproof and should not be left outdoors for extended periods.

* If you have trouble getting
the half-circles to connect, try
placing the ends at a right angle,
matching up the open ends.
Slowly push down each half until
ends are fully inserted into place.
6. Insert the string lights battery
pack into the pocket at near the
top ring. Anchor the light strand
with the ties around the top of
the HangOut.
7. Loop the O-ring at the top of the
HangOut through the center hole
in the leaf topper and adjust into
place. All done!
Installation

Safety
We recommend hanging your HangOut from our custom Crescent Stand (729638)*.
If hanging outdoors, we recommend a covered area to protect the HangOut from the elements.
Can be hung on an A-frame, swing set, or on a tree limb of 10"-12" diam. with our Mega Multi-Use Hanging Strap (731926)*.
If hanging the HangOut from a ceiling, the suspension device must be installed by a professional.
The maximum fall height should not exceed 18".
* Hanging hardware not included and can be purchased separately at Hearthsong.com.
IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION
• Battery installation and removal should be performed by an adult.
• Use only batteries recommended in this instruction manual.
• Be careful to install the batteries with the correct polarity, as indicated.
• Be sure to insert batteries correctly according to (+) and (-) symbol located in the battery compartment.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, remove all batteries when replacing.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), rechargeable (nickel-cadmium), or different types of batteries.
• Non-rechargable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged and are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type are to be used.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Always remove weak or dead batteries from the product.
• CAUTION: Do not dispose of battery in fire. Battery may explode or leak.
