5. The consumer’s right to this warranty will cease to apply where:
(a) The Equipment has not been used in accordance with the instructions provided in the
installation instructions supplied with the Equipment, or in accordance with usual use or
that type o equipment;
(b) Alterations, modi ications or repairs have been carried out on the Equipment
6. This warranty is in addition to any non-excludable legal rights or remedies con erred on the
consumer under any applicable Act and any similar laws. To the extent permitted by law, Hills
Antenna & TV Systems’ liability or any non-excludable condition or warranty is limited to
recti ying any de ect at its option, as set out in paragraph 4(c).
7. Subject to the requirements o any applicable Act or legislation and to the extent permitted by
law, no liability (whether expressed or implied) o any nature whatsoever, is accepted by Hills
Antenna & TV Systems or any consequential loss, damage or injury arising as a result o any
ault in the Equipment.
8. This warranty does not extend to damage to Equipment which occurs during transit or
transportation, or which is caused by any abuse, accident or improper installation, connection,
use, adjustment or repair o goods otherwise than in accordance with instructions issued by
Hills Antenna & TV Systems.
9. The ollowing applies to consumers who purchased the Equipment in Australia:
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other
reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or
replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major
failure.

TRU-BAND™ VHF ANTENNA
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Notes:
1. Installation of this produ t may expose the installer to physi al hazards
su h as working at heights above the ground, slippery roofs, overhead or
adja ent ele tri al wires et . Plan the installation in advan e, taking all
possible pre autions and, if in doubt, onta t a professional antenna
installer.
2. For best results, mount the antenna outdoors, lear of any obstru tions
and in line of sight to the transmitter.
3. Tools required: 10mm spanner, 11mm spanner and a sharp knife.
4. Mounting pole diameter: 25mm – 50mm (1” – 2”)
Instructions:
1) Unpa k the antenna from its box and he k that all items are in luded as
per Figure 1.

2) Install the lamp
bra ket and U-bolt to
the pole and finger
tighten the nuts. The
bra ket will grip the
mast. Fit the antenna
to the bra ket by as
shown in Figure 3.
3) Trim the able boot as shown in Figure 4. A
neat trim will minimise water ingress. Slide
the boot onto the able and fit an F-type
onne tor (not in luded), as per the
manufa turer’s instru tions.
4) S rew the onne tor onto the balun, being areful not to over-tighten
(re ommended torque is 20 in-lbs). Slide the able boot over the
onne tor. Refer Figure 2.
5) Aim the antenna towards the transmitter and tighten the nuts on the lamp
bra ket with a 10mm spanner. Tie the able to the mounting pole, being
areful to avoid sharp bends – refer to the manufa turer’s data for the
minimum bending radius of the able.

WARRANTY TERMS – Australian Consumer Law
1. Hills Antenna & TV Systems provides consumers with the ollowing warranty in relation to this
Equipment, in addition to complying with the requirements o any relevant legislation,
including the Competition and Consumer Act 010 (Cth) in Australia and the Consumer
Guarantees Act 1993 in New Zealand (the Acts), except where a New Zealand consumer
acquires the relevant Equipment or the purposes o a business.
2. In this warranty, we have used the ollowing de initions:
(a) Hills Antenna & TV Systems, our or we means Hills Antenna & TV Systems, a division o
Hills Holdings Limited ABN 35 007 573 417 o 159 Port Road Hindmarsh South Australia
5007.
(b) Equipment means the goods packaged with this warranty document, or to which this
warranty document is a ixed.
(c) Material means a material or component used by Hills Antenna & TV Systems in the
manu acture o the Equipment.
(d) Warranty Period means 5 years rom the date o purchase o the Equipment. I the
Equipment or part (as the case may be) is repaired or replaced, there will be no extension
to the original warranty period.
(e) Workmanship means the handling, assembly and manu acturing processes per ormed by
or on behal o Hills Antenna & TV Systems in order to manu acture the Equipment.
3. Hills Antenna & TV Systems warrants that or the duration o the Warranty Period, the
Equipment will be ree o aults arising rom de ects in Workmanship or Materials, on the
terms and conditions set out in this warranty.
4. Hills Antenna & TV Systems undertakes that i during the Warranty Period, the Equipment, or
any part o the Equipment, has ailed to operate correctly due to aulty Workmanship or
de ective Material, it will repair or replace the Equipment or part (as the case may be) ree o
charge on the ollowing terms:
(a) The consumer must retain proo o purchase o the Equipment. Hills Antenna & TV Systems
may reject a warranty claim on Equipment where the consumer is unable to substantiate
proo o purchase to the reasonable satis action o Hills Antenna & TV Systems.
(b) The consumer must contact the relevant Hills Antenna & TV Systems Branch O ice (details
listed below) or telephone 1800 720 000 upon becoming aware o a de ect to any
Equipment.
(c) Following consultation with Hills Antenna & TV Systems, we will determine whether there
is a de ect, and i so we agree (at our option) to repair, replace or supply equivalent goods,
or pay the cost o any o those remedies to the consumer.
(d) The consumer will be responsible or the collection and reight costs o returning the
Equipment to Hills Antenna & TV Systems or to any designated Hills Antenna & TV Systems
Branch O ice or repair or replacement (as determined by us).
(e) Hills Antenna & TV Systems will be responsible or the reight costs to deliver any new or
repaired Equipment to the consumer.
( ) Please note that a service charge will apply i no ault is identi ied or i any ault does not
all within the conditions o this warranty. For details o the applicable service charge,
please contact Hills Antenna & TV Systems prior to making a claim under this warranty.
