Remove all packaging and clear it away before plugging in the CA
1022 Dome Camera
Read the installation instructions carefully before proceeding
Do not attempt to repair any part of the system by opening the
casing. If the camera requires repair, phone 1-800-268-9852
If storing the system, choose a cool, dry location. Protect the camera
from dust and do not store any heavy objects on top of the unit.
Do not install the camera near water, oil, or heat source areas such
as a stove.
Use of unauthorized cables and accessories are not recommended.
Attaching incompatible parts may damage the system.

Congratulations on choosing the Home Sentinel CA 1022 B/W Pan/Tilt
Fixed Dome Camera. The CA 1022 system is reliable, versatile, and is
produced with high quality standards.
This versatile dome camera must be used with the PT 400 Pan/Tilt
control unit for the motorized mechanism to pan and tilt. This dome
camera and controller can be integrated with your existing Home
Sentinel video surveillance system.
This compact smoked acrylic dome blends with any décor and provides
discrete video surveillance. The built-in microphone provides audio
monitoring as well. The motorized controls has the ability to give you a
viewing angle of 355 horizontal and 85 vertical.

Installation Procedure

Before installation, make sure:
(A) Proper lift equipment or ladder to reach the installation
(B) Electrical power is not connected to the dome and surveillance
monitor during installation
To install the dome camera on a ceiling or wall follow these procedures:
1. Twist open the clear dome cover in a counter-clockwise direction to
reach inside the dome camera. (turn at the swivel section of the
camera)
2. Place the PT400 Control unit on a flat surface
3. Connect the 6 ft Din cable from the controller, marked “To Monitor”
from one of the channel outputs CH 1,2,3 or 4 to the corresponding
camera input CA 1,2,3 or 4 on the back of the monitor.
4. Run the 65 ft Din cable (included with the dome camera) from the
wired lead of the dome camera to the control unit, marked “To
camera” CH 1,2,3 or 4.
5. Please note : If the camera input on the controller is on CH 1 then the
monitor output on the controller must also be a corresponding CH 1
6. Attach the adapter plate on the ceiling or wall, using the 3 screws
provided (M3 X 20 screw).
7. Twist the base of the dome camera onto the adapter plate already on
the ceiling/wall. Note : Do not hold the clear bubble or swivel when
you attach the dome to the adapter
8. Repeat steps 1 to 6 to install other dome cameras.

Troubleshooting Guide
Before calling for service, please use the following guide for possible

Warranty
Home Sentinel warrants this home security product (“The Product”) to be
free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year
from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover any expenses
incurred in the removal and reinstallation of the product. This warranty is
offered to the original purchaser of the product only.
If the product should prove defective within the warranty period, return
the product postage prepaid to Home Sentinel, along with your dated
sales slip or other proof of purchase which will establish your eligibility
for the warranty. Home Sentinel will at its option, replace or repair the
product free of charge and return the product to you postage prepaid.
This warranty dose not apply to the product which has been damaged,
misused, altered or repaired by anyone other than a Home Sentinel
authorized service facility.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING FITNESS FOR USE AND
MERCHANTABILITY ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE PERIOD OF
THE EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE, AND NO PERSON
IS AUTHORIZED TO ASSUME FOR HOME SENTINEL ANY OTHER
LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF THE PRODUCT.
HOME SENTINEL EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS LIABILITY IN
CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE
PRODUCT. THE REMEDIES PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY
ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHERS.
This warranty gives you specific legal right, and you may also have other
rights which vary from state to state or province to province. Some
states/provinces do not allow limitation to how long warranty lasts, so the
above limitation may not apply to you. Additionally, some
states/provinces do not allow the exclusion of limitation of consequential
or incidental damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not
apply to you.
