Warning: risk of re /ammable materials
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as staff kitchen areas in
shops, ofces and other working environments; farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other
residential type environments; bed and breakfast type environments; catering and similar non-retail
applications.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.)
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a ammable propellant in this appliance.
The appliance has to be unplugged after use and before carrying out user maintenance on the appliance.
WARNING
• Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear of obstruction.
• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than
those recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
• Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance, unless they

• Please abandon the refrigerator according to local regulators for it use ammable blowing gas and
refrigerant.

• Do not locate multiple portable socket-outlets or portable power supplies at the rear of the appliance.
• Do not use extension cords or ungrounded (two prong) adapters.

- Take off the doors.
- Leave the shelves in place so that children may not easily climb inside.
The refrigerator must be disconnected from the source of electrical supply before attempting the
installation of accessory.
REFRIGERANT and cyclopentane foaming material used for the appliance are ammable. Therefore,
when the appliance is scrapped, it shall be kept away from any re source and be recovered by a special
recovering company with corresponding qualication other than be disposed by combustion, so as to
prevent damage to the environment or any other harm.
CHILDREN should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Important Safety Instructions
Respect following instructions to avoid the contamination of food:
- Do not open the door for long periods as this can cause a signicant increase of the temperature
in the compartments of the freezer.
- Regularly clean the surfaces that can come in contact with food and the accessible drainage
systems.
- Store raw meat and sh in suitable containers in the refrigerator to avoid contact with other food.
- If the refrigerating appliance is left empty for long periods, switch off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave
the door open to prevent mould developing within the appliance.

ELECTRICITY RELATED WARNINGS
• Do not pull the power cord when pulling the power plug of the freezer. Please rmly grasp the plug
and pull out it from the socket directly.
• Do not damage the power cord under any condition so as to ensure safety use, do not use when the
power cord is damaged or the plug is worn.
• Worn or damaged power cord shall be replaced in manufacture-authorized maintenance stations.
• The power cord should be rmly contacted with the socket or else res might be caused. Please
ensure that the grounding electrode of the power socket is equipped with a reliable grounding line.
• Please turn off the valve of the leaking gas and then open the doors and windows in case of leakage
of gas and other ammable gases. Do not unplug the freezer and other electrical appliances
considering that spark may cause a re.
• To ensure safety, it is not recommended that to place socket, regulators, rice cookers, microwave
ovens and other appliances at the top of the freezer, those recommended by the manufacture are
not included. Do not use electrical appliances in the food pantry.

RELATED WARNINGS FOR USE
• Do not arbitrarily disassemble or reconstruct the freezer, nor damage the refrigerant circuit;
maintenance of the appliance must be conducted by a specialist.
• Damaged power cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its maintenance department or related
professionals in order to avoid danger.
• The gaps between freezer door and freezer body are small, be noted not to put your hand in these
areas to prevent from squeezing the nger. Please be gentle when close or open the freezer door to
avoid falling articles.
• To avoid frostbite, do not pick foods or containers with wet hands in the freezing chamber when the
freezer is running, especially the metal containers.
RELATED WARNINGS FOR USE
• Do not give package and other components to children to play. The bending board and plastic lm
may lead to suffocation! Do not allow children to enter or climb the freezer to prevent that children
are sealed in the freezer or children are injured by the falling freezer.
• Do not spray or wash the freezer; do not put the freezer in moist places easy to be splashed with
water so as not to affect the electrical insulation properties of the freezer.
• Do not use freezer body, freezer door, etc. as pedal or support.
• Do not place heavy objects on the top of the freezer considering that objects may fall when open or
close the door, and accidental injuries might be caused.
• Please pull out of the plug in case of power failure or cleaning. Do not connect the freezer to power
supply within ve minutes to prevent damages to the compressor due to successive starts.

• Do not put ammable, explosive, volatile and highly corrosive items in the freezer to prevent
damages to the product or re accidents.
• Do not place ammable items near the freezer to avoid res.
• This product is household freezer and this equipment can only be used for the storage of food.
According to the standard requirements, household freezer shall not be used for other purposes,
such as storage of blood, drugs or biological products.
• Do not place items such as bottled or sealed container of uid such as bottled beers and beverages
in the freezer to prevent bursts or other losses.

WARNINGS FOR ENERGY
Pay attention to below information:
1. Freezer might not operate consistently when sited for an extended period of time below the cold
end of the range of temperatures for which the freezer appliance is designed.
2. The fact that effervescent drinks should not be stored in food freezer compartments or cabinets or
in low-temperature compartments or cabinets, and that some products such as water ices should
not be consumed too cold.
3. The need to not exceed the storage time(s) recommended by the food manufacturers for any kind of food.
4. The precautions necessary to prevent an undue rise in the temperature of the frozen food while
defrosting the freezer.
5. The fact that a rise in temperature of the frozen food during manual defrosting, maintenance or
cleaning could shorten the storage life.
6. The necessity that, for doors or lids tted with locks and keys, the keys be kept out of the reach of
children and not in the vicinity of the freezer appliance, in order to prevent children from being locking
inside.
WARNINGS RELATED TO DISPOSAL

Operating Instructions
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The picture above is only for reference. The actual product will depend on the physical product or
statement by the distributor.
• The chest freezer is mainly used for storing frozen foods and making ice.
• The freezer is suitable for storage of meat, sh, shrimp, pastries and other foods not to be consumed
in short time.
• Chunks of meat are preferably to be divided into small pieces for easy access. Pay attention that the
stored food should be consumed within the shelf life.
Note:
After used for a long period of time, there maybe a certain degree of wear with the hinge. When opening or
closing the door, you will hear some noise. To reduce the noise and extend the service life of the hinge, put
some grease on the hinge for maintenance regularly.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Connect the freezer to power supply, the Power indicator (the green
light) will light up.
• The interior temperature of the freezer is adjusted by the
thermostat knob. Rotate the thermostat knob clock-wisely, the
interior temperature of the freezer will start to drop.
• To set to the lowest temperature, rotate the thermostat knob
to “MAX” position; to set to the highest temperature, rotate the
thermostat knob to “MIN” position.
• To turn off the freezer, rotate the thermostat knob to “OFF”
position.

PLACEMENT
• Before using the freezer, remove all packaging materials including bottom cushions, foam pads and
tapes inside the freezer, tear off the protective lm on the door and the freezer body.
• Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources such as stove, heating radiator, etc.
• Do not place the freezer in moist places to avoid rust or reduction of insulating effect.
• The freezer should be placed in a well ventilated indoor place; the oor shall be at and sturdy.
• To facilitate heat dissipation, leave not less than 28 inches at the top and not less than 8 inches
around the sides and at the back of the freezer.
START TO USE
• Allow the freezer to stand for 24 hours before plugging in to the mains.
• Clean up the inner chamber of the freezer before use for rst time.
• The freezer shall run 2 to 3 hours before loading fresh or frozen foods. In summer the time should be
more than 4 hours.
ENERGY SAVING TIPS
• The freezer should be located in the coolest area of the room away from heat producing appliances
or heating ducts and out of the direct sunlight.
• Cool hot foods to room temperature before placed into the freezer.
• Wrap foods properly and wipe containers dry before placed into the freezer. This will reduce frost
accumulating inside the appliance.
• The storage bin of the freezer should not be lined with aluminum foil, wax paper, or paper toweling.
Liners will interfere with cold air circulation, making the freezer less efcient.
• Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended searches. Remove as many items as
needed at one time. Close the door as soon as possible.

Cleaning and Maintenance
CLEANING
• Always disconnect the freezer and take all food out before any cleaning and maintenance.
• Check the door gasket regularly to make sure there is no food debris in it. Clean the door gasket with
a soft cloth dampened with soapy water or diluted detergent.
• The interior of the freezer should be cleaned regularly to avoid odor. Use a soft cloth or sponge to
clean the inside of the freezer with two tablespoons of baking soda and a quart of warm water. Rinse
with water and wipe clean.
• For gaps and corners that are difcult to clean in the freezer, wipe them with a soft rag or a soft
brush combined with some auxiliary tools (such as thin sticks).
• Do not use soap, detergent, scrub powder or spray cleaner to clean the interior surface of the
freezer, as they may cause odors in the freezer and contaminate the stored food.
• Clean the baskets and the housing with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water or diluted
detergent. Dry with a soft cloth or dry naturally.
• Do not use hard brushes, clean steel balls, wire brushes, abrasives (such as toothpastes) or organic
solvents to clean the freezer, as these may damage the interior and outer surface of the freezer.
• Do not rinse the freezer directly with water or other liquids to avoid a short circuit.
• After cleaning, open the door and let the freezer dry completely before connecting to power.
DEFROSTING
• The freezer shall be manually defrosted.
• Unplug the freezer and open the freezer door.
• Take all foods and the shelving basket out of the freezer. Place the foods at a cool place.
• Open the outow hole and the drainage hole. Place the water container at the outow hole, the
indoor frost will melt naturally.
• Wipe the defrosted water with a dry and soft cloth. When the frost softens, use an ice scraper to
accelerate the defrosting process.
• Do not use other mechanical devices or means to defrost the freezer as this will damage the
electrical circuit of the freezer.
Note:
• In case of power failure, foods can be preserved for a couple of hours in the freezer even in summer.
Keep the door closed and stop putting fresh foods into the freezer.
• Do not turn upside down or vibrate the freezer during transportation. For safe lifting, tilt the
appliance backwards by no more than 45 degrees, hold the base and rear corners of cabinet. Lift the
freezer carefully. Never use the door handles for lifting.
• The freezer is heavy. When moving the freezer, make sure there are 2 or more people to avoid injury.
• Continuous operation is recommended when the freezer is started. It is good for the freezer’s life
time.

Troubleshooting
PROBLEM CAUSE AND SOLUTION
The freezer doesn’t work.
Check that the freezer is plugged and connected to power.
Check if the temperature control knob is in working area.
Check if there is power failure or tripping circuit.
Odor
Odorous foods should be closely wrapped.
Check if there are rotten foods in the freezer.
Check if the interior of the freezer needs to be cleaned.
Long-term operation of
compressor
It is normal that the freezer operates for longer time in summer.
Too much food is put in the freezer at one time. Reduce the food quantity.
Put the foods into the freezer until cooled completely.
Do not open the freezer door frequently.
Check if there is thick frost layer, if so, defrost the freezer.
The illuminating light
does not shine.
Check if the freezer is connected to power or if the illuminating light is
damaged.
The freezer door can not
be properly closed.
Ensure there are no obstructions preventing the door closure.
Check if the door compartments and shelves are correctly in place.
Check if the door seal is not warped or torn.
Check if the appliance is level.
Loud noises Check if the oor is at, if the placement of freezer is stable and if the
freezer accessories are properly placed.
Transient difculty in
door opening
After refrigeration, there will be pressure difference between the inside
and outside of the freezer to result in transient difculty in door opening.
This is normal.
Enclosure heat
Condensation
It is normal when the ambient humidity is high. Wipe the freezer
enclosure with a dry towel.
Airow sound /Buzz
Airow sound is normal and will not affect the cooling effect.
Buzz will be generated by running compressor especially when starting up
or shutting down the appliance. This is normal.

specications. A replacement product may be provided instead of repairing a defective product. hOme™
’s exclusive obligation under this warranty is limited to such repair or replacement.
A receipt indicating the purchase date is required for any claim, so please keep all receipts in a safe
place. We recommend that you register your product on our website, homelabs.com/reg. Although
greatly appreciated, the product registration is not required to activate any warranty and product
registration does not eliminate the need for the original proof of purchase. The warranty becomes
void if attempts at repair are made by non-authorized third parties and/or if spare parts, other than
those provided by hOme™ , are used. You may also arrange for service after the warranty expires at an
additional cost.
