1 Description
The 5815RMK (red) or 5815RMKB (black) are remote mounting cabinets that allow you to install up to two modules in a single cabinet.
1.1 Specifications
The 5815RMK and 5815RMKB measure 10.38”W x 10.165”H x 3.176”D (26.4 cm W x 25.8 cm H x 8.0 cm D).
1.2 Compatibility
The 5815RMK and 5815RMKB are compatible with the Honeywell/Silent Knight 5815XL and 6815 SLC Expanders and the SKNIC Network Inter-
face Card.
2 Mounting
It is important to protect the 5815RMK and 5815RMKB and its contents from water. To prevent water damage, follow the mounting requirements
listed below:
• Do not mount directly on exterior walls, especially masonry walls (condensation).
• Do not mount directly on exterior walls below grade (condensation).
• Protect from plumbing leaks.
• Protect from splash caused by sprinkler inspection ports.
• Do not mount in areas with humidity-generating equipment (such as dryers, production machinery).
• Mount in an area that always remains within the following temperature and humidity range: 0°C-49°C (32°F-120°F) and 10%-93% at 30°C
(86°F) non-condensing.
• Mount in an indoor, dry location.
To mount the 5815RMK and 5815RMKB cabinet, do the following:
1. Unlock the cabinet and lift up on the door to remove it from the backbox.
2. Remove the two screws which secure the mounting plate to the backbox.

NOTE: Installation and wiring of this device must be done in accordance with NFPA 72 and local ordinances.

THE CIRCUIT BOARD CONTAINS STATIC-SENSITIVE COMPONENTS. ALWAYS GROUND YOURSELF WITH A PROPER
WRIST STRAP BEFORE HANDLING ANY BOARDS SO THAT STATIC CHARGES ARE REMOVED FROM THE BODY. USE
STATIC SUPPRESSIVE PACKAGING TO PROTECT ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLIES.
