Preheating
Ifthefoodbeingcookedneedstogointoapreheated
oven(thisisgenerallythecasewhencookingleavened
foods),the “fanassisted mode” bcan be used toreach
thedesired temperature as quickly as possible. When
preheatingisover, which is indicated by the red oven
indicatorlight “E”goingout. Placefoodintheovenand
select themost appropriatecookingmode.
Cooking on More Than One Shelf
If you want to cook on more than one shelf at the same
time, use the “fan assisted mode” bwhich is the only
modeappropriatefor this type of cooking.
• The oven is fitted with 5 shelves. During fan assisted
cooking,usetwoofthethreecentralshelfpositions;the
lowest and highest shelf positions receive the hot air
directlyandthereforedelicatefoodstuffscould be burnt
ontheseshelfpositions.
• As a general rule, use the 2nd and 4th shelf position
fromthebottom,placingthefoodstuffsthatrequiregreater
heat on the 2nd shelf position from the bottom. For
example,whencooking meat roasts together with other
food,place the roast on the 2nd shelf position from the
bottomandthemoredelicatefoodonthe4thshelfposition
fromthebottom.
• When cooking food that require differing times and
temperatures, set a temperature that is somewhere
betweenthe two temperatures required, place the more
delicate food on the 4th shelf position from the bottom
andtake thefoodrequiringless timeoutofthe ovenfirst.
• Usethe baking tray on the lower shelf position and the
shelfontheupper;
Using the Grill
Thismulti-functionovenoffersyou2differentgrillingmodes.
-Usethe“grill”mode d,with the oven door ajar, placing
thefoodin the centre of thegrill pan (situated on the3rdor
4thshelf position form the bottom)becauseonlythecentral
partofthetopheatingelementisturnedon.
When using this mode, we recommend you set the
temperatureto the highest setting. However,this does not
mean you cannot use lower temperatures, simply by
adjustingthetemperaturecontroltothedesiredtemperature.
-Setting e“fanned grill”,only with the oven door shut,
isextremelyusefulforgrillingfoodsrapidly,asthedistribution
ofheatmakesitpossiblenot only to brown the surface, but
alsotocook the bottom part.
It can also be used for browning foods at the end of the
cookingprocess, such as adding thatgratin finish to pasta
bakes.When usingthismode,place the grillpanonthe 2nd
or3rd shelfpositionfromthe bottom (seecookingchart).
Thiswillallow you to obtain excellent resultsandto save
energy(approximately10%). Whenusingthismodewe
recommendyousetthetemperaturecontrolto200°C, asit
isthemostefficientwaytousethegrill. Howeverthisdoes
notmeanyoucannotuselowertemperatures,simplyby
adjustingthetemperaturecontroltothedesiredtemperature.

When baking cakes, always preheat the oven. Make
sureyouwait until the oven has preheated thoroughly (the

CookingFish and Meat
When cooking white meat, fowl and fish, use temperature
settingsfrom180 °C to 200 °C.
Forredmeat that should be welldone on the outside while
tenderandjuicyintheinside,itisagoodideatostartwitha
hightemperaturesetting(200°C-220°C)forashorttime,then
turntheoven down afterwards.
In general, the larger the roast, the lower the temperature
setting.Placethemeatonthe centre of the shelf and place
thegrillpan/bakingtraybeneathittocatchthefat.
Makesurethattheshelfisinsertedsothatitisinthecentreof
the oven. If you would like to increase the amount of heat
frombelow,usethelowshelfpositions.
CookingPizza
Forbest results when cooking pizza,usethe“fan assisted
mode” b :
-Preheattheovenforatleast10minutes.
-Use a light aluminium pizzapan, placing it onthe shelf. If
the baking tray is used, this will extend the cooking time,
makingitdifficultto getacrispy crust.
-Do not openthedoorfrequently while thepizzaiscooking.
-Ifthepizzahasalotoftoppings(threeorfour),werecommend
youadd the mozzarella cheese ontop,halfwaythroughthe
cookingprocess.
- When using two shelves, use the 2nd and 4th shelf
positions,with the temperature setto 220°C.
