Installation
Keep this instr ction man al in a safe place for
f t re reference. Sho ld the appliance be sold,
transferred or moved, make s re the instr ction
man al accompanies the washing machine to inform
the new owner as to its operation and feat res.
Read these instr ctions caref lly: they contain
vital information on installation, se and safety.
Unpacking and levelling
Unpacking
1. Unpack the washing machine.
2. Check whether the washing machine has been
damaged d ring transport. If this is the case, do
not install it and contact yo r retailer.
3. Remove the 4
protective screws and
the r bber washer with
the respective spacer,
sit ated on the rear of
the appliance (see
figure).
4. Seal the gaps sing the plastic pl gs provided.
5. Keep all the parts: yo will need them again if
the washing machine needs to be moved to
another location.
Packaging materials are not children's toys.
Levelling
1. Install the washing machine on a flat st rdy
floor, witho t resting it p against walls, f rnit re
cabinets or other.
2. If the floor is not
perfectly level, com-
pensate for any
nevenness by
tightening or loosening
the adj stable front
feet (see figure); the
angle of inclination,
meas red according to
the worktop, m st not
exceed 2°.
Levelling yo r appliance correctly will provide it
with stability and avoid any vibrations, noise and
shifting d ring operation. If it is placed on a fitted
or loose carpet, adj st the feet in s ch a way as to
allow eno gh room for ventilation beneath the
washing machine.
Electric and water connections
Connecting the water inlet hose
1. Insert seal A into the
end of the inlet hose
and screw the latter
onto a cold water tap
with a 3/4 gas threaded
mo th (see figure).

appliance's cold water
inlet, sit ated on the
top right-hand side on
the rear of the
appliance
(see figure).
3. Make s re there are no kinks or bends in the
hose.

table (on the page 5);
If the water inlet hose is not long eno gh,
contact a specialist store or an a thorised
serviceman.
Never se hoses that have already been sed.

 We advise against the se of hose extensions; in
case of absol te need, the extension m st have
the same diameter as the original hose and m st
not exceed 150 cm in length.
Electric connection
Before pl gging the appliance into the mains
socket, make s re that:
 the socket is earthed and in compliance with
the applicable law;
 the socket is able to s stain the appliance's
maxim m power load indicated in the Technical
details table (on the page 5);
 the s pply voltage is incl ded within the val es
indicated on the Technical details table
(on the page 5);
 the socket is compatible with the washing
machine's pl g. If this is not the case, replace
the socket or the pl g.
Yo r appliance is now s pplied with a 13 amp f sed
pl g it can be pl gged into a 13 amp socket for
immediate se. Before sing the appliance please
read the instr ctions below.
WARNING - THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.
THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS SHOULD BE
CARRIED OUT BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.
Replacing the fuse:
When replacing a fa lty f se, a 13 amp ASTA
approved f se to BS 1362 sho ld always be sed,
and the f se cover re-fitted. If the f se cover is
lost, the pl g m st not be sed ntil a
replacement is obtained.
Replacement f se covers:
If a replacement f se cover is fitted, it m st be of
the correct colo r as indicated by the colo red
marking or the colo r that is embossed in words
on the base of the pl g. Replacements can be
obtained directly from yo r nearest Service
Depot.
Removing the plug:
If yo r appliance has a non-rewireable mo lded
pl g and yo sho ld wish to re-ro te the mains
cable thro gh partitions, nits etc., please ens re
that either:
the pl g is replaced by a f sed 13 ampere re-
wearable pl g bearing the BSI mark of approval.
or:
the mains cable is wired directly into a 13 amp
cable o tlet, controlled by a switch, (in compliance
with BS 5733) which is accessible witho t moving
the appliance.
Disposing of the plug:
Ens re that before disposing of the pl g itself,
yo make the pins n sable so that it cannot be
accidentally inserted into a socket.
Instr ctions for connecting cable to an alternative
pl g:
Important: the wires in the mains lead are
colo red in accordance with the following code:
Green & Yellow Earth
Blue Neutral
Brown Live

As the colo rs of the wires in the lead may not
correspond with the colo red markings identifyng
the terminals in yo r pl g, proceed as follows:
Connect Green & Yellow wire to terminal marked E
or or colo red Green or Green & Yellow.
Connect Brown wire to terminal marked L or
colo red Red.
Connect Bl e wire to terminal marked N or
colo red Black.
If a 13 amp pl g (BS 1363) is sed it m st be fitted
with a 13 amp f se, either in the pl g or adaptor or
at the distrib tion board.
If yo are in any do bt the electrical s pply to yo r
machine, cons lt a q alified electrician before se.
How to connect an alternative pl g:
The wires in this mains lead are colo red in
accordance with the following code:
BLUE NEUTRAL (N)
BROWN LIVE (L)
GREEN & YELLOW EARTH (E)
Disposing of the appliance:
When disposing of the appliance please remove
the pl g by c tting the mains cable as close as
possible to the pl g body and dispose of it as
described above.
 The washing machine sho ld not be installed in an
o tdoor environment, not even when the area is
sheltered, beca se it may be very dangero s to
leave it exposed to rain and th nderstorms.
 When the washing machine is installed, the mains
socket m st be within easy reach.
 Do not se extensions or m ltiple sockets.
 The power s pply cable m st never be bent or
dangero sly compressed.
 The power s pply cable m st only be replaced by
an a thorised serviceman.
Warning! The company denies all liability if and
when these norms are not respected.
The first wash cycle
Once the appliance has been installed, and before
yo se it for the first time, r n a wash cycle with
detergent and no la ndry, setting the A

Note: to avoid excessive vi rations, efore every spin cycle the machine distri utes the load in a uniform
manner y continuously rotating the drum at a speed which is slightly faster than the normal washing speed.
When, despite repeated attempts, the load is still not evenly distri uted, the machine spins at a lower speed
than the set frequency.
If the load is excessively un alanced, the machine attempts to distri ute it instead of spinning.
The alancing attempts may extend the total duration of the cycle, up to a maximum of 10 minutes.

Display
In addition to being a practical tool to programme yo r appliance (see page 9), the display provides sef l
information concerning the wash cycle and stat s.
Once yo have pressed the START/RESET b tton to
start the programme, the display will indicate the
amo nt of time left ntil the end of the wash cycle.
If a delayed start has been set ( sing the Delay
Timer, see page 9), the delay time will be indicated on
the display.

Buzzer:
Yo r washing machine comes with a b zzer, which will
inform yo of the vario s f nctions being carried
o t, or of any malf nctions: incompatibility, option/
programme keys, start, end of cycle, reset.
Child lock:
For yo r safety and that of yo r children, yo can block all the keys d ring the machine's operation or
d ring waiting position (delayed start - Stand-by) by pressing the f nction key for 2 seconds.
To disable this f nction, hold the same b tton down for 4 seconds.
Door lock:
If the symbol is on, the washing machine door is locked to prevent it from being opened accidentally. To
avoid any damages, wait for the symbol to switch itself off before yo open the appliance door.
This model is fitted with a device that allows yo to open the appliance door d ring some of the programme
phases. This is possible when the symbol is not on.
At the end of the programme, the word END is displayed.
 In the event of an anomaly, an error code will appear, s ch as: F-01, (see page 13).

pecial programme
Daily wash 30 (programme 9 for Synthetics) is designed to wash lightly soiled garments in a short amo nt of
time: it only lasts 30 min tes and allows yo to save on both time and energy. By setting this programme (9 at
30°C), yo can wash different fabrics together (except for woollen and silk items), with a maxim m load of 3 kg.
We recommend the use of liquid detergent.
Briefly: starting a programme
1. T rn the washing machine on by pressing b tton .
All the icons will light p for a few seconds and
then go off.
2. Load yo r la ndry into the washing machine and
sh t the appliance door.
3. Set the knob to the desired programme. The
estimated d ration of the selected programme
is displayed. The temperat re and spin speed
are a tomatically set according to the
programme (to change them, see page 9).
4. Add the detergent and any fabric softener
(see page 10).
5. Select any f nction (see page 9).
6. Start he programme by pressing the START/
RESET b tton.
To cancel it, keep the START/RESET b tton
pressed for at least 2 seconds.
7. When the programme has ended, the word END is
displayed. Take o t yo r la ndry and leave the
appliance door ajar to allow the dr m to dry
thoro ghly.
8. T rn the washing machine off by pressing b tton .

etting the spin cycle
If, when the appliance is switched on, the KNOB is positioned on
a programme with a spin cycle, a fixed appears. Press
b tton and the maxim m spin speed allowed for the
programme set will be displayed, and the icon flashes.
Press it again and the val es lower ntil they reach OFF, which
indicates that the spin cycle has been excl ded (press it again
to go back to the maxim m val e); stop on the desired speed,
after approximately 2 seconds the setting is accepted: the
symbol remains fixed. The spin cycle setting is enabled with
all the programmes except for 11 and the P mp o t cycle.
etting the temperature
If, when the appliance is switched on, the KNOB is positioned on a programme for which the temperat re
needs to be reg lated, a fixed appears. Press b tton and the maxim m temperat re allowed for the
programme set will be displayed and the icon flashes. Press it again and the temperat re lowers ntil it
reaches OFF, which indicates a cold wash cycle (press it again to go back to the maxim m val e); stop on the
desired val e, after approximately 2 seconds the setting is accepted: the symbol remains fixed.
The temperat re adj stment is enabled with all wash programmes.
etting the delay Timer
Press the b tton and yo will see the word OFF on the display, while the relative symbol flashes.
Press the b tton again and "1h" appears, that is, a delay of one ho r (this can reach p to 24h); stop on the
"desired" delay; after approximately 2 seconds the setting is accepted, following which, the time for the set
programme appears on the display and the symbol remains on.
If yo now press the START/RESET b tton, the set "delay" appears; this decreases every ho r ntil the start
of the cycle. In this phase, the "delay" can only be modified by decreasing it.
The Delay Timer reg lation is enabled with all programmes.
Child Lock (see page 7).
Functions
To enable a f nction:
1. press the b tton corresponding to the desired f nction, according to the table below;
2. the f nction is enabled when the corresponding b tton is ill minated.
Note: The rapid flashing of the b tton indicates that the corresponding f nction cannot be selected for the
programme set.
If yo set a f nction that is incompatible with another f nction yo selected previo sly, only the last one
selected will be enabled.

Detergent dispenser
Good washing res lts also depend on the correct
dose of detergent: adding too m ch detergent
won't necessarily make for a more efficient wash,
and may in fact ca se b ild p on the interior of
yo r appliance and even poll te the environment.

Preparing your laundry
Divide yo r la ndry according to:
- the type of fabric/the symbol on the label.
- the colo rs: separate colo red garments
from whites.
Empty all pockets and check for loose b ttons.
Do not exceed the weight limits stated below,
which refer to the weight when dry:
St rdy fabrics: max 6 kg
Synthetic fabrics: max 2.5 kg
Delicate fabrics: max 2 kg
Wool: max 1,5 kg
How much does your laundry weigh?

Curtains: fold c rtains and place them in a pillow
case or mesh bag. Wash them separately witho t
exceeding half the appliance load. Use programme
11 which excl des the spin cycle a tomatically.
Quilted coats and windbreakers: if they are
padded with goose or d ck down, they can be
machine-washed. T rn the garments inside o t
and load a maxim m of 2-3 kg, repeating the rinse
cycle once or twice and sing the delicate spin
cycle.
Trainers: remove any m d. They can be washed
together with jeans and other to gh garments,
b t not with whites.
Wool: for best res lts, se a specific detergent,
taking care not to exceed a load of 1,5 kg.
