Operation
Step 1:
Start with the lifting arm in the down position, approach the
trailer stand square, straight and with the two orange flag
markers lined up. The orange markers will allow you to be as
centered as possible on the lifting device.
Step 2:
Drive in slowly and touch the trailer stand with the bottom
pusher bar of the lifting device.
Step 3:
Press and hold the rocker switch located on the dash of the
shunt truck in the up position for approximately 4 seconds.
This will raise the lifting arm and lift the trailer stand off the ground. The Lifting arm will
rise until it activates the limit switch, which will engage the automatic shut-off. The trailer
stand will now be raised up off the ground and you can drive around the yard.

Step 4:
Drive up to the front nose of a trailer slowly, square, straight and
parallel. Position the trailer stand approximately in the center of the
trailer. When you are about 1 foot away from the trailer, stop. Press
the down rocker switch on the dash of the shunt truck for
approximately 4 seconds. This will lower the trailer stand to the
ground and completely disengage the lifting arm from the trailer
stand. When the arm is lowered, and the downward limit switch is
activated, the lifting device automatically shuts off.
Step 5:
After the trailer stand is on the ground and the lifting arm has been disengaged, drive
forward slowly and push/slide the trailer stand underneath the trailer until it gently
touches one of the vertical bumpers on the trailer stand. Once the trailer stand has been
placed, back away from the trailer slowly.

Removing the Shuntable 2.0 Trailer Stand
•Approach the trailer stand square, straight, as parallel as possible and with the
two orange flag markers lined up. The lifting arm should be in the down position
at this time.
•Idle forward slowly until the bottom pusher bar of the lifting device touches the
trailer stand gently.
•Activate the rocker switch on the dash for approximately 2 seconds or until the
lifting arm is about parallel to the ground and just applying a gentle upward
pressure on the trailer stand.
•Back up slowly, dragging the trailer stand out from under the trailer until the
trailer stand is well clear from under the trailer’s nose.
•When the trailer stand is clear of the trailer, press and hold the rocker switch in
the up position until the trailer stand is fully lifted off the ground and the lifting
arm stops. Now you are safe to drive around the yard.

Recommended Safety Inspection and Maintenance Schedule
Inspect
Action
Before each shift:
A check should be performed
before each shift.
Check for any bent parts, broken welds, loose
bolts or any physical damage. Check the strap on
the lifter for any rips or frays.
Test the lifting bar with the rocker switch in the cab
without lifting the trailer stand. Make sure the lifting
bar goes through its full range of motion up and down
and that both limit switches are operating correctly by
turning off the winch motor when needed.
Test the lifting device by lifting the Shuntable 2.0
trailer stand. Does the limit switch turn off the lifting
motor when the trailer stand reaches its upper most
travel off the ground? The motor should not be
running if the trailer stand has reached its hard stop.
Call maintenance if adjustments are required.
Monthly:
Bumper wear and tear
1. Check the condition of the bottom pads
2. Check the condition of the vertical step
bumper
3. Replace if necessary
Yearly:
Inspect for bent, damaged or
missing bumpers, fasteners, etc.
1. Check to ensure all moving parts operate
smoothly.
2. Replace or repair if necessary.
