lugsprovided.
PUTTINGA FILMINTHEILFOFLEX
Loadintheshade.
1.Placethecamera,lens-downona flatsurfaceand
slidethecatchtoO (foropen).SeeFig2.Openthe
backcover.
2.Makesurethattheemptyspoolisinthespaceat
thetopofthecamera.Thespool-clampsarespring-
loadedandpull-outtoallowyoutoinsertthespools.
3.Unwrapthefilm(keepthewrappings)andpulla
shortlengthclearofthespool,donotallowthefilmto
unwind.

4.InsertthefilmspoolinthecameraasshowninFig2
andpushthetaperedendofthepaperintothelong
slotintheemptyspool.
5.Holdthefilminthisposition,andturnthewind-on
knobinthedirectionofthearrow(markedonit)until
thepaperissecure,closethecoverandlockitby
pushingthecatchtoL (lock).
6.Wind-onthefilmuntilyouseemarkingsinthered
window.Nowwindslowlyuntilthefigure1 appearsin
thewindow.Youarenowreadytotakeyourfirst
picture.
TAKINGPICTURESWITHYOURiLFOFLEX
Stand6 feet.ormorefromthesubjectforbestresults.
1.Holdthecameraatwaistlevelwiththelens
pointingatthesubject.
2.Removethelenscap.
3.Raisetheviewfinderhoodandcomposethepicture
ontheviewingscreen.
4.Withtheshutter-settingleverat'I'(instantaneous)
presstheshutterreleasedownwards,andthepicture
istaken.
5.Windthefilmuntilthenextnumberappearsinthe
redwindow.
NOTE
Whentheshuttersettingleverisinthe'B'position,the
shutterwillbeopenforaslongastheshutterrelease
ispresseddown.
Makesurethatyoureturntheleverto(I)afterusing
the(B)setting.
TOREMOVETHEEXPOSEDFILM
1.Wind-onuntilthefilmiscompletelyonthetake-up
spool.(Youwillseetheendofthefilmpassthered
window).
2.Openthecameraintheshadeandremovethe
upperspoolwiththefilm,bypullingoutthespool
clamp.
3.Securetheendofthefilmwiththegummedstrip
andre-wrapthefilminitsoriginalwrapping.
4.TakeittoyourIlforddealertobedeveloped.
