Do not apply excessive stress to LCD DISPLAY to avoid damages.
Battery Handling
(1) A battery is consumables. Replace with a new battery when operating time of
the instrument becomes shorter.
(2) Disposal of the battery must be done according to the waste-disposal law of
the country or region where the battery is disposed of.
Operating and storing temperatures for batteries:
Operating temperature (charging) : 0 to 40°C (45-85% RH, non-condensing)
(discharging) : -20 to 60°C (45-85% RH, non-condensing)
Storing temperature (within a month) : -20 to 50°C (45-85% RH, non-condensing)
(within three months) : -20 to 40°C (45-85% RH, non-condensing)
(within a year) : -20 to 20°C (45-85% RH, non-condensing)
* As for the operating temperature for charging, the amount of charge at a low temperature
near 0°C is smaller than that at 20°C.
* Time of discharge becomes shorter as temperature decreases.
* The range of storing temperature is specified with 80% recovery rate.
* Recovery rate: Indicates the percentage of an after-storage discharge time against the
discharge time before charge.
Transportation regulations for lithium-ion batteries:
This product uses lithium-ion batteries which are subject to transportation
regulations. Applied regulations depend on the packing condition or number of
batteries, therefore when you plan to transport this product, please check with a

Preface
CAUTION
Visual camera handing:
(1) Please use it within an operating temperature condition.
(2) Do not put direct rays into the Visual camera window of main instrument.
(3)Do not give a direct shock to the Visual camera window of main instrument.
* Visual camera window : Please refer to P.14.
Cautions about visual image acquisition:
The following phenomena may be observed when the G100/G120 acquires
or saves a visual image. These phenomena are not failures.
(1) The color of the visual image periodically changes.
(2) The color of the visual image may be different from the real target object
when the image is replayed in FREEZE.
To avoid such phenomena, perform image acquisitions by changing the
RUN/FREEZE timing or camera angle. In this case, it is recommended
to acquire visual images with observing the image on the screen.
The following phenomena may be observed in the outdoor data acquisition.
Such phenomena are not caused by camera failures.
(3) If the contrast is great (e.g. because of backlight), the object may appear
darker on the camera display compared to the brightness of the background.
To avoid these phenomena, control the frame so that it covers only
target object.
(4) If the bright sunlight enters the visual camera, entire picture may become
reddish.
To avoid these phenomena, shield the camera from bright sunlight.

Preface
Holding the product:
(1) Give much consideration not to drop the product.
(2) When placing the product, do not give strong shock to the product.
(3) To hold LCD Display or Lens Cap might cause failure.
Don't input laser ray (CO2 laser or etc):
Infrared detector might be damaged as disable to recover by inputting the
laser ray.
Periodical temperature calibration:
Perform once a year to keep the measurement accuracy.
To keep your camera qualified for IP54 (dust & splash proofs):
To keep your camera qualified for IP54, we recommend
periodic inspection/change of gasket.
Gasket should be changed approximately once in two years.
Please ask us at periodic inspection or calibration services.
