SAFETY WARNINGS
•Use personal safety equipment such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses and ear plugs
when operating the Predator Easy Edge Grinder.
•Innovatech is not responsible for any hazardous material or condition that is caused or
generated by grinding with the Easy Edge Grinder. It is the responsibility of the operator to
know the composition of material being removed by grinding and to comply with all necessary
safety precautions. The heat caused by grinding may release hazardous gasses
from some coatings or paints. Grinding floor coverings containing asbestos is especially
dangerous and is prohibited by most health authorities. Contact your state or country
department of health or environmental authority for the proper handling procedures.
•Do not leave the machine unattended during operation.
•Do not use grinder in area where there is a risk of explosion or fire.
•Use caution when removing grinding tools after grinding. The tools can become hot.
Use gloves to remove the tooling plates.
•Only persons who have received training should operate or repair the Easy Edge Grinder.
•Do not start the machine with grinder head raised off of the floor.
•Make sure the splash guard is properly positioned before starting the machine.
•Before you start grinding or polishing, check the floor area for bolts or other metal objects,
large holes or uneven joints. Hitting these obstructions may cause damage to the machine,
to the tooling and may cause personal injury.
•Make sure the machine is connected to the correct grounded power supply (up to 120v,
15amp)
•Switch off and disconnect machine power before changing grinding tools.
•Switch off and disconnect machine power supply before working on or repairing machine.
•Be careful when rolling the machine on sloping floors or ramps. The machine can roll very
quickly.
•When grinding glues, epoxy paints or coatings, leaving the machine down on the floor
surface may cause tooling to melt into the floor. To prevent adhesion tip the machine back
as soon as the head comes to a complete stop.
•Always store machine in a dry location.
•Only use Innovatech recommended tooling, accessories that may be suitable for one tool,
may become hazardous when used on another tool.
•When grinding dry, use Innovatech’s recommended dust collection system to control the
dust. Do not operate the Easy Edge Grinder without proper dust collection.
•Keep bystanders, children, and visitors away while operating the Predator Easy Edge.
•Don’t expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Watering entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
•Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry the tools or pull the plug from the
outlet. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Replace damaged
cords immediately. Damaged cords increase the risk of electric shock.
•When operating a power tool outside, use an outdoor extension cord marked “W-A” or “W”.
These cords are rated for outdoor use and reduce the risk of electric shock.
4
•Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool.
Do not use tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.

•Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your hair,
clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
•Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other
condition that may affect the tool’s operation. If damaged, have the tool serviced before
using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
Always wear eye protection
WARNING
Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling and other construction activities
contains chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some
examples of these chemicals are:
-lead from lead-based paints,
-crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and
-arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce
your exposure to these chemicals: work in a well ventilated area, and work with approved safety
equipment, such as those dust masks that are specifically designed to filter out microscopic
particles.
