–Thebedmustnotbeusedbypersonsunder3yearsof
age,orwithabodysizesmallerthananaverage3year
old(over92cmlength).

Thebedfulfilsallrequirementsregardingmaximum
distances.However,itispossiblethatpatientswithsmall
bodydimensionsslipthroughtheopeningsbetweenthe
siderailsorthroughtheopeningbetweenthesiderail
andthemattresssupport.
–Payspecialattention,ifthebedisusedforthecareof
patientswithsmallbodydimensions.

Riskduetoelectromagneticinterference
Electromagneticinterferencebetweenthebedandother
electricalproductscanoccur.
–Toreduceoreliminatesuchelectromagnetic
interference,increasethedistancebetweenthebed
andtheproductsorswitchthemoff.
Thismedicalbedcanbeusedtogetherwith
medicalelectricalequipmentconnectedtotheheart
(intracardially)orbloodvessels(intravascularly)provided
thatfollowingpointsarerespected:
–Thebedshouldbeequippedwithmeansforpotential
equalizationconnectionmarkedoutbyasymbol
showninthebackofthismanual.
–Medicalelectricalequipmentshouldnotbefixedon
thebed’smetallicaccessoriessuchassiderails,lifting
pole,driprod,bedends,etc.
–Themedicalelectricalequipmentpowersupplycord
shouldbekeptclearoftheaccessoriesoranyother
movingpartsofthebed.

–Donotrollthecastorsoverthemainpowercord.
–Donotbringmainpowercordintomovingparts.
–Disconnecttheplugfromthemainsbeforemoving
thebed.
–Makesurethatnowires(mainsorfromother
equipment)arejammedordamaged,whenthebedis
used.
–Keepbedcomponentsandaccessoriesatleast30cm
awayfromaheatedsurfaceandnotindirectsunlight.

leavingthepatientinthebedunattended.
–Makesurethatthereisnothingunder,over,ornear
thebedthatcanobstructtheheightadjustment,like
forexamplefurniture,liftsorwindowframes.

–Neverleavechildrenunattendedplayingaroundthe
bed.
–Donotallowchildrentolingerunderthebed.
–Whenliftingorloweringthebed,alwaysmakesure
thatthereisnochildrennearthebedmovingparts.
–Thehandcontrolmustnotbeusedbychildren.When
thehandcontrolisnotusedkeepitoutofreachfor
children.
