SIGNAL
For FM reception, connect the dipole antenna to the 300Ω /75Ω balun then to the FM antenna connection at the rear of the
unit. Connect the supplied AM loop antenna to the push-to-lock terminals.
1. Select AM or FM with the BAND key.
2. Use the UP/DOWN keys to set a frequency manually or the SCAN key to automatically search for the desired
station.
3. To program a station, press the ME (Memory) key, then press location (M1-M5),
4. To program memory keys M6-M10, press the ME (Memory) key, then press the SHIFT key, then press location
keys M1-M5.
The DT-100C may be operated from a 12VDC power source. Screw terminals are provided for
this purpose. When connecting the DC source, ensure that the polarity is correct and that
the DC supply is protected with a 1A fuse. (Note : The power On-Off switch is bypassed
when operating the DT-100C from a 12VDC source. For power backup, connect a 12VDC
source to the 12 VDC Power Connection. The DT-100C will continue operational status if AC
power is lost.)
The mono signal output of the DT-100C tuner is accessed from either of the two RCA jacks located on the rear panel. The
enclosed RCA patch cord should be connected between either of the RCA output jacks then to an Aux/Line input on the
amplifier. Two RCA output jacks are available to feed same tuner signal to two systems. The
output level may be adjusted by the volume control located near the line output jacks. If your
installation only has microphone level inputs available, call J.W. Davis Customer Service for
different types of attenuaters to modify line level signals.

MUSIC-ON-HOLD
A separate 1-watt amplifier allows the music-on-hold feature to be controlled independently of the primary preamplifier.
To facilitate station tuning and setting the desired volume level for music-on-hold, it is suggested that a speaker be connected
to the special 8 ohm output. This is also useful for monitoring purposes. Care should be taken to avoid signal distortion by
overdriving the music-on-hold volume level.
TUNER OPERATION
Due to the steel construction of the tuner, tuned antennas are not fitted within the cabinet. An AM loop antenna and FM
dipole antenna with balum is enclosed to provide the desired signal. Your DT-100C tuner has been tested to perform well in
poor reception areas. However, should you experience difficulties, call J. W. Davis & Company Customer Service for
assistance.
