verters.Usea fuelwithanantiknockindex(AKI)ofat
least87.A loweroctaneAKIisacceptableatelevations
above1500feet(450meters).
Owner'sResponsibility
Itistheowner'sresponsibilitytodeterminedriving
conditions(normalorheavy-dutyoperation),tohavethe
vehicleservicedaccordingtotheMaintenanceSched-
ule,
andtopayforthenecessarypartsandlabor.

Operation
Heavy-dutyoperationconsistsofoff-roadordusty
conditionsforover30%ofuse,commercialload-carry-
ingordelivery,snowplowing,pullingtrailersweighing
over2,000pounds(900kg)loaded,orextendedengine
idlingduringnormaluse.If thevehicleisusedinheavy-
dutyoperation,performtheservicelistedintheEngine
MaintenanceScheduleandtheChassisMaintenance
Scheduleaccordingtotheintervalsdesignatedbythis
