Introducing KATA
KATA designs, develops, and manufactures quality, state-of-the-
art protection solutions and carrying systems. KATAs products are
designed around the human frame. Its not enough that the
equipment fits the case, the case must also fit the user!
In 1983, two friends, members of an elite military unit, began exchanging
ideas about how backpacks and military equipment cases could be
made more modular and ergonomic Based on their own field experience,
they went on to design a line of combat-ready gear They named their
company KATA In 2005 Kata joined the Vitec Group and under the
Photographic Division the company has been expanding and flourishing
or many years KATA has been creating high-end products for
professionals around the world.
KATA Design HQ and part of the
manufacturing facilities are based in Jerusalem, Israel
KATA established its reputation by outfitting Protection and Security
Special Forces with auxiliary cases, utility & protective vests and
backpacks Tough, durable, yet remarkably lightweight, KATA products
are constructed to withstand rough treatment and harsh conditions
over long periods
In 2004, KATA launched the Global Digital Collection (GDC) for the
Professional Digital Photographer and Videographer The collection
includes carrying solutions specifically designed for delicate digital

eliminate unraveling Carrying handles are sewn from the bottom of the bag, for the

on the inside of the fabric to hold them fast

Ergo-Tech = a seamless e tension to your body. Katas collection
of consumer bags introduces new organic carrying solutions for
your personal day to day gear and your CAMERA+. A unique
combination of cutting edge technologies (Flexi-Shield),
materials(Elasto-Guard) and design have been joined together
to create this range of fle ible dynamic bags that will adjust to
the ever changing shapes and movements of your body, while
also able to shift shape in order to fit the variable equipment
within. Designated safe guard zones feature internal modular
padded divisions and e ternal Flexi-Shield reinforcement for
ultimate protection.

material for the Ergo-Tech collection.
This is a lamination which consists
of the following 3 layers:
1. External layer - high resistance
stretchable knit/weave PES/PA.
2. Middle layer - 1 to 3 mm closed-cell
water roof elastic foam adding.
3. Internal Layer - a soft, anti-scratch
knit/weave PES/PA lining or KATAs
"Yelloo " fabric which enables the
attachment of dividers, and rovides
soft, anti-scratch cushioning.

Two front U shaped flaps access top and bottom compartments separately
and each f nctions as a flexible pocket. The main compartment is
divided in two with a zippered division that can be ndone to create
one large space, and the ample internal and external pockets will store
all yo r personal gear in addition to yo r photographic eq ipment.

The Focus Shoulder Bags are designed for day to day use and can also
carry a Digicam or SLR + MP3/MP + PDA + Phone and accessories.
The main compartment features Elasto-Guard sleeves to secure and
protect delicate equipment (if not in use these just fold away to allow
for other gear). Flexi-Shield reinforcement is featured on both sides
of the bag. Full top flap opening accesses the main compartment and
the front zip pocket, while a concealed phone pouch is integrated into
the shoulder strap for quick access. A special adjustable strap system
will easily stow away the excess strap in a designated cover-all sleeve.

opening accesses the main flexible compartment while under the front

pocket will adjust to store a variet of personal effects, a flat rear pocket

Macro KS Mini Shoulder Bags, and Macro KB Mini Belt Bag, are similar
in all design features but differ in carrying methods: Macro KS comes with
a shoulder strap while Macro KB comes with a belt connector (belt not
included). Both fit a igicam + MP3 / MP4 + P A + Phone and accessories.
Their top-looped-flap accesses the main compartment and the front pocket
features Flexi-Shield reinforcement to secure the unique closure of the
pouch by anchoring the loop of the top flap. Two side zip
pockets and a rear flat pocket can store small accessories.
