Theutilitypumpisahandy,easytousetoolforhome,andyardwaterremovalapplicationssuchas
drainingwindowwells,stocktanks,boats,andshallowfloodedareassuchasbasements.Simplyconnect
thepump,toastandardgardenhoseonthedischarge,placethepumpintheareatobedrained,plug
intoanystandardgroundedtypereceptacle(donotstandinortouchthewaterwhilepluggingthepump
inorduringuse!).Andit’lldrainthewaterdowntolowestlevel.
Theutilitypumpisengineeredtomovewaternotwarmerthan40℃only.Pumpfailuresdue
tomud,tar,cement,woodchips,corrosivematerialdamage,orrequestsforreturnfollowing
temporaryusearenotcoveredunderthemanufacturingwarrantyandwillnotbeexchanged,returned
forcreditorrefund.

Theutilitypumphasbuilt‐inthermal
overloadprotectionwhichmeanstheunitwill
automaticallyshut‐offwhenitsensesitcould
reachanoverheatlevel.Oncecooleddown‐
eithernaturallyorbybeingsubmergedina
bucketofcoldwater(5+gallonsforabout20
minutes)‐itwillresetandisreadytopump
again.Oncetheareatobedrainedreaches
lowestlevel,unplugthepump.

andgroundingtypeattachmentplug.Toreduce
theriskofelectricshock,becertainthatis
connectedonlytoaproperlygrounded,
grounding‐typereceptacle.

groundedreceptacle.
2. Neverplacepumpinwaterorremovefrom
waterwhiletheunitispluggedin!
3. Unplugthisunitwhenwaterhasdrainedto
lowestlevel.
GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR UTILITY PUMP
Optimumpumpperformanceisreachedata
maximum25’gardenhoselength.Thepump
continuestoworkatlongerlengths,butthe
flowreducesduetolossoffrictioninthe
longerhoselength.
Makesurethewaterrunssmoothlythrough
thegardenhose‐nokinksorobstructions!
Basically,ifthepump“hums”–itworks.If
thereislittleornomovementofwater,that
meansthereisanairlock(justtipthepump
onitssideandsubmerseinwater).
Orsomethingiscloggingtheunit.Inthatcase,
justtipthepumpupsidedowntoejectany
foreignobjectthenflushwithwater.
Neverplacepumpinwaterorremovefrom
waterwhiletheunitispluggedin!
Remember,thisutilitypumpshasbuilt‐in
overloadprotectionandwillshutitselfoffto
preventover‐heating.Thisisnotpumpfailure
oramanufacturingdefect.
