untileachlegisfullyextended(Fig-1).Asnecessary,
adjusttheleg-lengthreleasingthetripodextenderlock
(Fig-2).

partbylooseningtheelevatorlockingscrew.

telescope-tube.Placeandfixthetelescopeoptical
tubeonthetripodusingthetelescope-tubelocking
screw.Atthistime,makesuretofittheconcave
partofthetelescopetubeandtheconvexpartof
themountsothatthetubeisalignedproperly.
Attachingthetelescopeopticaltubetothetripod
mountshouldbefirmlysecured.Itisdangerousif
thetubesfalloffcausedbyanunsecuredlocking
screw.
Attachthefindertotheproperlocationonthe
telescopeopticaltube.Thefindershouldbealigned
beforeusingthetelescope(Seepage5forproper
aligningofthefinder.).
Toobserveanerectimagewiththetelescope,you
mustuseaneyepiece.Forastronomicalobservation,
youshouldusediagonalandeyepiece.Firstly,remove
bothendsofcapsondiagonal,Attachtheeyepiece
withthestardiagonallikeshownonthepicturebelow
andtightenthelockingscrews.Forobservationobject
ontheground,attachtheeyepiecewiththeerecting
prismlikeshownonthepicturebelow.(Seepage6for
attachingmethod)
Theeyepiececanbechangedtodifferentpowers.
Thistelescopecomeswiththreeeyepieces.
Dependingontheobservedobject,youcanselect
yourfavoriteeyepiece.
ThissectioncoverstheassemblyinstructionsforyourSKYWALKERSW-0telescope.Itishighly
recommendedthatthefirstsetupofthetelescopeshouldbedoneindoors.Thiswayitwillbeeasier
toidentifyallthevariouspartsandfamiliarizeyourselfwiththecorrectassemblyprocedurebefore
attemptingoutinthefield.

Itisbettertocarryoutmostofthisprocedure
duringthedaytime.
Byadjusting(tightenorloosen)the3adjust-
mentscrewsonthefinderbracket,thedirection
ofthefindercanbechanged.
Forexample,bytighteningtheadjustmentscrew
onthetopandlooseningthetwoadjustment
screwsonthebottom,thefindercanbeturned
tofaceupwards(seethepicturebelowfor
reference).
4)Whentheobjectseenthroughthemaintube
hasbeencenteredonthecrosshairofthe
finder,slowlytightentheadjustmentscrews
equallytofixthefinder.
5)Thealignmentofthefinderscopehasbeen
completed.Pleasemakesurethattheaxisof
thescopeisnotoutofalignmentbeforestar
observation.
1)Aimthetelescopeatasmallobjectthatis
aboutseveralkmaway,suchasachimneytop
ortipofanantenna.
2)Centertheobjectintheeyepiece.
3)Afterthat,lookattheobjectwiththefinder
scopethistime.Iftheobjecthasalreadybeen
centeredonthecrosshair,alignmentofthe
finderisnotnecessary.
Ifitisnotfocused,slowlyturnthefocusing
knobuntiltheobjectcomesintofocus.

AligningtheFinderScope
●Whatisafinderscope?
Ifyoutrytofindastarwithatelescopefromtheverybeginning,itisveryhardtocatchthe
targetastralobjectduetohigh-powersandnarrowfieldofviewofthetelescope.Thefinderhas
alower-powersandwiderfieldofviewcomparetothemaintelescopeanditiseasiertofindthe
positionalrelationsbetweenthestars.Youcanseethereticleinthecenterfieldofthefinder
andsetthetargetastralobjectatthiscrosspoint.Inordertosmoothlyintroducethetarget
astralobjecttothemaintubethroughthefinderscope,thefindermustbecollimated(aligned)
withthetelescopefirst.Pleasealigntheopticalaxisofthefinderscopethroughthefollowing
stepsbeforeobserving.

1)Youcanfindthetargetcelestialobjectswith
youreyes.Itiseasiertofindoutwiththe
planisphereorotherstarmaps.
2)Beforeusingthetelescope,identifyyourobject
withyoureyesfirst.Afterwards,turnthealtitude
adjustmentrodtomoveupanddown.Look
throughthefinderscopeatthesametimeand
settheobjectonthecrosspointofthefinder.
Telescopeisaprecisioninstrumentandissensitive
todust,moisture,salinematter,heatandimpact.
Duringstorage,pleaseconsiderthefollowingand
handleyourtelescopewithcare.
1)Pleasestorethetelescopeproperlyaftereachuse.
2)Pleasekeepthetelescopeinawell-ventilatedand
normalroomtemperature.Adampenvironmentcan
leadtomoldgrowth.
3)Ifyouaregoingtokeepthetelescopeassembled,
coverthewholetelescopewithalargeplasticcover
toprotectitfromdust.
4)Donotwipeoffdustonthelens.Instead,usea
blowertoblowitaway.
5)Iffingerprintsordirtareattachedonthelens,
pleasecarefullycleanitwithlenscleaning
solutionandmicrofibercloth.
6)Thelensesarepreciselysetforobserving;
neverdisassemblethetelescopeforcleaning.
4)Ifyoucanalreadyseeyourtargetcelestial
object,trytochangetothe12.5mmor4mm
eyepiece,whichhasahighermagnification.(See
page4tofindhowtocalculationthemagnifica-
tion)
CAUTION:Neverobservethesundirectlythroughyourtelescope.Thisisvery
dangerousasitmaycauseimmediateandpermanentharmtoyoureye.

Normally,imageyouseethroughthetelescopeand
thefinderscopewillbeupsidedown.Erectingprism
canerecttheupsidedownimage.(Thefindercan
onlyprovideanupsidedownandreversedimage)
●Toobservecelestialobjectswithhigher
magnification
Byplacinga3XBarlowlensbetweenthetelescope
andtheeyepiece,magnificationcanincrease3times
more.However,itwilldarkenandlowertheresolution
oftheimage.Forthisreason,pleaseusethe3X
Barlowlensonlyforhighpowerobservation.
