DURING FIRST USE
1. Remove all protective wrappings and packaging prior to operation.
2. Manufacturing residue or oil can contaminate the heating element during
production, on first use the toaster will generally emit a small amount of odour or
smoke. This is normal and will not occur after several times of use. For firstuse,
it is suggested that the normal operation steps be followed but without bread
inserted, then let the toaster cool down and begin toasting the first slices.

OPERATING YOUR TOASTER
1. Insert bread slice/s into the bread slot (1 single piece per slot). Only use regular
shaped / sized bread, irregular or oversized bread may result in jamming.
NOTE: Make sure the crumb trays are correctly positioned and fully inserted
before using.
2. Plug the power cord into the socket outlet.
3. Set colour control dial to your desired colour. There is 7-position level, the
lowest
“1” is for light and the highest “7” is for dark. Bread can generally be toasted to a
golden colour in the middle position.
NOTES: 1). Toasting colour for one slice is darker than that for two bread
slices at the same level.
2). If toasting continuously, toasting colour may get darker after
several cycles. As such, we recommend a rest period of 30
seconds
between toasting cycles.
4. Lower the carriage handle/s down vertically until they are latched in place, the
indicator light for Cancel will be illuminated, and the appliance will begin
toasting.
NOTE: The carriage handle can only be latched when the appliance is
plugged in to the power supply.
5. Once the bread has been toasted to the preset colour, the carriage handle will
automatically pop up. Also, you can uplift the carriage handle a little to remove
the bread easily.
NOTE: During toasting, you may also observe the toasting colour. If it is
satisfactory, you can press the Cancel button to stop the operation at any
time, but never lift carriage handle to try and cancel toasting.
6. If you want to toast frozen bread, firstly press Defrost button and the (Defrost)
indicator will be illuminated, set colour control knob to your desired colour and
then lower carriage handle down vertically until it is latched in place. In this
mode bread will be toasted to your desired colour.
5

7. If you want to warm cold previously toasted bread, firstly press the Reheat
button and the (Reheat) indicator will be illuminated, then lower the carriage
handle vertically until it is latched in place. In this mode toasting time is fixed, the
carriage handle will automatically spring up and end up the reheating process.
CAUTION
1. If the toaster starts to smoke, Press Cancel to stop toasting immediately.
2. Avoid toasting the food with extremely runny ingredients such as butter.
3. Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the
toaster from the electrical outlet first. Be careful not to damage the internal
mechanism or heating elements when removing bread.
4. In order to achieve uniform colour we recommend that you should wait a
minimum of 30 seconds between each toasting so that colour control can be
reset automatically.
1. Before cleaning, unplug from the appliance and allow to cool down completely.
2. Wipe the outside with a soft dry cloth, never use metal polish.
3. Pull out the crumb trays at the bottom of toaster and empty. If toaster is used
frequently, accumulated bread crumbs should be removed at least once a week.
