IMPORTANT
Be careful when biting into anything
cooked in the sandwich maker , as
some filling such as cheese and
jam can be extremely hot and will
burin if eaten too quickly.
to make toasted
sandwiches
1Close the lid and plug in. The
power on light will come on.
2The temperature light will come on
once the correct cooking
temperature has been reached.
3Whilst the sandwich maker is
heating up prepare the bread and
filling. Always select bread of a
suitable size to fit the plates.
●For golden toasted sandwiches,
spread butter on the outside of the
bread. Do not use low fat spreads,
which are not suitable for toasting.
●Place the filling between the
unbuttered side of the bread.
●Ensure the sandwiches are evenly
filled to assist with even browning.
4Unlatch the handle by pushing the
latch  up and open the lid.
5Place the sandwiches on the plate
and close and latch the lid. Do not
force the lid closed.
●If the lid is difficult to close you may
have added too much filling or the
bread is too thick.
6Allow the sandwiches to toast for
3 – 8 minutes depending on taste
and to ensure raw ingredients
(e.g bacon) are thoroughly cooked.
Alternatively, pre-cook before
toasting.
●Beware of steam which may
escape from the front of the
appliance during cooking.
7The temperature light will come on
and off as the sandwich maker
maintains the correct temperature.
8When the sandwiches are cooked,
carefully remove them using a
wooden or plastic spatula.
9Do not use metal utensils as they
will scratch and damage the non-
stick surface.
10 Switch off and unplug after use.
Allow the sandwich maker to cool
completely before cleaning.
to make pastry snacks
Ready made pastry sheets such as filo
or puff pastry are ideal for making
quick and easy snacks.
1Place a suitable sized piece of
pastry sheet on the pre-heated
toasting plate.
2Form hollows in the pastry and
spoon on the filling such as apple,
ricotta cheese or vegetables.
3Top with another piece of pastry
and close the lid.
4Cook until the pastry is golden
brown.
