
3. First remove the top cover:
i) Squeeze the base of the cover
ii) Lift
Fit the gate housing in position as per the options
in figure 1.

Attach the bottom wall bracket flush with the
floor ensuring the screw holes are aligned horizontally.
b)Slide housing onto bottom wall bracket
c) Position top wall bracket to the top of the
housing.
d) Use a spirit level to ensure the housing is
vertical and mark the locations for the screw
holes. Follow steps 1-4 (below) depending on the
material the gate is being attached to and screw the
top wall bracket in place
flush with wall
Make sure that the gate is mounted firmly and
vertically.
Attaching to:
1) Wood - Use the screws provided. Drill pilot holes
before tightening the screws.
2) Concrete/brick - Use the screws + rawl plugs/
plastic anchors provided. Drill hole, insert rawl plugs/
plastic anchors flush with wall and then tighten screws.
3)Other wall materials - use an appropriate fixing
system
4) Bannister - use the bannister installation kit. See
accessories.
4a)
Attach the handle:
i) Pull out a portion of the mesh (see fig. 8)
ii) Align tabs on handle with holes on locking rod. (5b)
iii) Rotate handle back until it snaps into place. (5c)
N.B. If there is a Skirting/Base Board on the wall
to which the housing is to be attached, a piece of
wood, the thickness of the skirting/base board will
need to be positioned between the top bracket of the
KiddyGuard Avant and the wall.
5a) Push the top cover firmly back onto the gate
housing, with the high side flush to the wall.
