Basic Walkie Talkie Operation Guide
1. Turn On/Off the walkie talkie: Press and hold “Menu” key for 3-4s to turn on or
turn off the walkie talkie
2. Set channel: While the walkie talkie is turned on, press the “Menu” button once
to enter the channel setting mode. The channel number on the LCD will start to
flash. Press the up and down key to select a desired communication channel (1-
22 channels). Press the PTT key to confirm and exit.

3. Select sub-group code: When sub-group code is selected, the device can
reduce the interference from other undesired FRS radio users who are on the
same communication channel.
While the walkie talkie is turned on, press the “Menu” button twice to enter the
sub-group code setting mode. The sub-group code number on the top right of
LCD screen will start to flash. Press the up and down key to select a desired sub-
group code (“OF” means no code selected, 01-38 refers to CTCSS codes and
39-99 refers to DCS codes). Press the PTT key to confirm and exit.
4. Activate VOX (Voice Activation) function: While the walkie talkie is turned on,
press the “Menu” button 3 times to enter the VOX setting mode. Press the up and
down key to select a desired VOX sensitivity level (1-3). “OF” means no VOX
activated. Press the PTT key to confirm and exit.
5. Select Calling Tone: While the walkie talkie is turned on, press the “Menu”
button 4 times to enter the calling tone selection mode. Press the up and down
key to select a desired calling tone (01-10 tones). Press the PTT key to confirm
and exit.
6. Set key tone On/Off: While the walkie talkie is turned on, press the “Menu”
button 5 times to enter the key tone setting mode. Press the up and down key to
set key tone on or off. Press the PTT key to confirm and exit.
7. Set End-Of-Call Tone On/Off: While the walkie talkie is turned on, press the
“Menu” button 6 times to enter the End-Of-Call tone setting mode. Press the up
and down key to set the End-Of-Call tone on or off. Press the PTT key to confirm
and exit.
Talking through the walkie talkies:
Before talking through the walkie talkies, please make sure both walkie talkies are
turned on and set at the same channel/sub-group code (if selected)
•VOX OFF mode: Press and hold the PTT/Talk button on the top left of the walkie
talkie to start a conversation; Hold the walkie talkie 2-3 inches away from your
mouth and speak directly toward the speaker. Release the PTT/Talk button to
end the talk

•VOX ON mode: Depending on the sensitivity level selected and the quietness of
the environment, speak directly toward the speaker at appropriate distance to
start a conversation.
Charging: A rechargeable Lithium battery was pre-installed in your walkie talkie. When
the battery signal on the LCD screen shows low or empty, please charge the walkie
talkie. Each walkie talkie comes with a USB C charging cable. Plug the small end of the
USB C cable in the walkie talkie charging port (top right) and connect the other end of
the USB C cable with power source (computer USB port or compatible USB adapter:
Output 5V1A).
Volume adjustment: While the walkie talkie is turned on, press the up/down key to
adjust the speaker volume. Total 8 levels of volume can be selected.
To Lock/Unlock the keypad: To avoid unexpected changes to your channel setting or
other settings, you can lock the keypad. While the keypad is locked, only the “Lock” key
and the “PTT/Talk” key will function.
While the walkie talkie is turned on, press and hold the “Lock” key 3-4s to lock the
keypad. A key symbol will appear on the screen and you will hear a “beep”sound (if key
tone is set on) indicating the keypad is locked.
Press and hold the “Lock” key for 3-4s again to unlock the keypad.
Active Channel scan: If you are not sure which channel your friends are on, you can
use the active channel scan function to scan all active channels in your area.
While the walkie talkie is turned on, press and hold the “Light” key for 3-4s to activate
the channel scan function. When an active signal is detected, the scan will stop, and the
walkie talkie will stay on that channel. If no signal is detected, the scan will continue.
During scan, press PTT, Menu or Monitor key to stop the scan.

The Monitor function on the walkie talkie: The Monitor mode helps you receive weak
signal by disabling the CTCS/DCS code, which means even you and the other party are
on the different sub-group codes, you can still receive signal under this mode.
While the walkie talkie is turned on, press the “MON” key to enter the monitor mode.
Flashlight: The walkie talkie is equipped with a bright LED light. Press the Light key to
turn on the LED light and press it again to turn it off.
How to put on/take off the silicon walkie talkie case: When kids play with the walkie
talkies, they are having lots of fun, and we are doubling it! The 2 additional silicon cases
feature a cute panda pattern and a wonderful sailing trip pattern. The cases are made of
