1.0 About this manual
This manual describes the installation and maintenance of the ICON power box. It also includes
technical specifications and information about certifications.
2.0 Intended use
The ICON solitaire power box is designed for powering up to 2 structures on an ICON playground.
The power box is intended for wall mount, inside or outside. Where a wall is not available the
power box may be mounted inside the standard ICON server box cabinet (available as a spare part
and must be ordered separately).
For two structures, the allowed configurations are shown in the table below:

The power box supply utilizes two 24V outputs. The power supply is internally limited to a max.
output current of 4A in total for the two outputs.
The ICON solitaire power box is specially designed and approved for use with ICON equipment
only.
Installation instructions described in this manual must be followed. If the installation, use and
maintenance instructions described in this manual are violated, the protection provided by
the power box may be impaired!
2.1 European WEEE directive
All electronic components of ICON are subject to the European WEEE directive and must at
the lifecycle end be recycled according to the directive. The electronic components are marked
with WEEE recycle mark.

Mounting the power box
The power box must be mounted on a wall, inside or outside according to the drawing above, unless
local rules and regulations dictates other mounting requirements. The cable protection must cover
the cables down to the ground level.

OBS! BEFORE ANY WORK WITHIN THE POWER BOX IS DONE,
THE MAIN CIRCUITBREAKER MUST BE SWITCHED OFF!!!
Installation of the 24V cables from the playground
Preparing the cables:
1) Dismantle the cable by app. 70mm 2) Cut off the filler cords
3) Cut off the white and yellow wires 4) Dismantle the inner cords by 5mm
Switch to the
off position!

5) Mount the wire ferrules using a special plier 6) Final result
See specification below!
Wire Ferrules for CAN bus (blue & green wire): Kompan order no: A900648-99
Wire Ferrules for 24V (Orange & Black wire): Kompan order no: A900648-99
Crimping Pliers for End Sleeves (ferrules) Knipex: Kompan order no: A900638-99
Connecting the cables:
1) Put on the screw cap 2) Put cable through the fastener and fasten properly
Twist the shield cords around the cable jacket
3) Open the connector using a screwdriver 4) Mount the wire!

5) OBS! mount the green wire in the gray connector 6) Check the fastening by pulling the wires!
7) Fasten the cable to the metal rail using the cable 7a) Repeat the procedure for output II if needed
Fastener. Be sure that the shield of the cable is
fixed between the cable and the metal rail and
the cable fastener.


Installation of 110V/230V power cable
Installation of the 110/230V power cable must be done in compliance to local rules and
regulations for fixed installations.
The installation must be done by an authorised electrician or an equal qualified person.
OBS! Protective earthing is required!
Remove the circuit breaker cover and connect the power cable to the following terminals:
2T1=Phase
4T2=Neutral
6T3=Not connected
Yellow/Green = Protective earthing
