• Ensur th l ctrical cabl loops b low th l ctrical supply to form a “Drip Loop”, a part
of th cabl hangs low r than th sock t. This pr v nts wat r running down th cabl
into th sock t.
• Th pump must b fully imm rs d in wat r wh n it is us d, sinc dry running can caus
it to fail. B for th turning on th pow r nsur th pump is totally imm rs d in wat r.
• Ensur that th l ctrical cabl do s not li across pathways so that p opl do not trip
on th m.

mains pow r wh n th pump is not in us .

USE
• A clogg d or dirty intak will put a strain on th motor and gr atly r duc th pump’s
p rformanc . If th bas on which th pump is to b stood is v ry dirty, raising th pump
slightly will r duc th amount of d bris surrounding th intak of th pump. If
d cr as d flow is d sir d this can b adjust d with th control on th sid of th pump
or through limiting th outflow.

MAINTENANCE
• Littl maintainanc is n c ssary if th pump is us d according to th instructions in this
manual.
• If dirt builds up in th intak , rins using running wat r, but r m mb r to always unplug
from th pow r first.
• A 30mA (or l ss) R sidual Curr nt D vic (RCD) must b fitt d to th mains supply.
• To cl an th pump r mov th imp llor housing and imp llor. Us cl an wat r and a
small brush to r mov d bris. N v r us harsh cl an rs or ch mical solutions for cl an-

IF THE PUMP CEASES TO FUNCTION, CHECK FOLLOWING:

has l ctricity supply.

out any alga .

block d.
