• If th r is a probl m with l ctrical supply to th pump r sulting in its failur to op rat ,
nsur it is ch ck d and r pair d if n c ssary by a qualifi d l ctrician.
• Ensur th l ctrical cabl loops b low th l ctrical supply to form a “Drip Loop”, a part
of th cabl hangs low r than th sock t. This pr v nts wat r running down th cabl
into th sock t.
• Th pump must b fully imm rs d in wat r wh n it is us d, sinc dry running can caus
it to fail. B for th turning on th pow r nsur th pump is totally imm rs d in wat r.
• Ensur that th l ctrical cabl do s not li across pathways so that p opl do not trip

• N v r conn ct to a pow r supply with diff r nt voltag and curr nt than that stat d on
th pump's lab l.
• N v r pump flammabl fluids through th pump.
• National l ctrical r gulations r quir that a ground fault circuit int rrupt r (GFCI) is us d
in dir ct conn ction to quipm nt that is us d in wat r. S your l ctrical suppli s
outl t for this d vic
• Do not us th pump in wat rs that xc d 30°C.
CAUTION!
• Th pow r must b disconn ct d b for th pump is handl d.
• Th pump must b ntir ly imm rs d in wat r wh n it is us d.

• Th pump must not b op rat d without th suppli d pump cag
• Only turn on mains pow r onc pump is in position
USE
• A clogg d or dirty intak will put a strain on th motor and gr atly r duc th pump’s
p rformanc . If th bas on which th pump is to b stood is v ry dirty, raising th pump
slightly will r duc th amount of d bris surrounding th intak of th pump. If
d cr as d flow is d sir d this can b adjust d with th control on th sid of th pump
or through limiting th outflow.
• Only conn ct th pow r onc imm rs d in wat r. Wh n first install d th r may b air
trapp d in th pump and tubing, this can b disp rs d by turning th pump on and off
s v ral tim s
MAINTENANCE
• Littl maintainanc is n c ssary if th pump is us d according to th instructions in this
manual.
• If dirt builds up in th intak , rins using running wat r, but r m mb r to always unplug
from th pow r first.
• A 30mA (or l ss) R sidual Curr nt D vic (RCD) must b fitt d to th mains supply.
• To cl an th pump r mov th imp llor housing and imp llor. Us cl an wat r and a
small brush to r mov d bris. N v r us harsh cl an rs or ch mical solutions for cl an-
ing th pump (this may caus p rman nt damag )
• It is not possibl to r mov th axl .
IF THE PUMP CEASES TO FUNCTION, CHECK FOLLOWING:
• Ch ck th switch/circuit br ak r and try anoth r sock t in ord r to ch ck that th pump
has l ctricity supply.
• Ch ck that th hos s or th outflow ar not block d. A gard n hos can b us d to flush
out any alga .
• Ch ck th filt r inl t and cl ar possibl dirt.
• R mov th pump inl t in ord r to com to th rotor. Ch ck that it is not brok n or
