Smart Tag (#SA02/#SA03) Reference Guide
Ever lose your keys or phone? If so, then the Smart Tag is just for you. With the click of a button an alarm will sound to
help you find your lost phone or keys. Never worry again about being late or missing an event because you can’t find
one item or the other. The Smart Tag will help keep things together. It can even act as a photo remote, so that you do
not have to worry about trying to smudge your screen to hit the shutter button. All you need for your Smart Tag to work
properly is a Bluetooth enabled Smart Phone, the required App (ITracing), and you are good to go. Please check out a
more detailed description below of how Smart Tag actually works!
1. Power On your Smart Tag by pressing and holding the Power button for about 3 seconds. 2 beeps will occur to
let you know the Smart Tag is powered “On”
2. Go into the App store on your Apple or Android phone and download the “ITracing” app.
3. Once the app is downloaded, open the app by clicking on it on your phone.
4. Once the app is activated, you will be taken directly to the “Device List” screen. All active Tags within range will
be listed on this screen.

a. Find your Smart Tag on the list and select “Connect”
i. The name of your Tag will be “Smart Tag”. If for some reason, multiple tags are shown in the list,
your tag will be the one that shows first in the list as it is closest to you and the device in terms
of distance.
b. Once your device is connected, the “Connect” button will change to say “Alert”. Connected will also
appear in smaller GREEN text below the name of the Smart Tag in the Device List.
5. Now, you will select the arrow button next to the “Alert” button on the Device List screen.
a. In here you can take a photo of your Smart Tag or yourself for your device’s profile within the app.
b. You can also give your Smart Tag a new name if desired.
c. You can also select “Anti-Lost” and “Find Me” to change the sound settings for each such as the volume
of each alert and which Ring Tone to use.
d. If desired, you can also select to disconnect the Smart Tag from this screen.
Now that the device is set up, you can now use the Anti-Lost alert functions. To do this, follow the below steps.
1. To make your Smart tag sound an alarm if lost, please select the “Alert” option from the device List screen..
a. This will cause your Smart Tag to begin to beep loudly until found. Once found press the “Power” button
once to stop the Smart Tag form sounding the alarm.

b. If you lose your phone, but have your Smart Tag, double click the “Power” button as this will make your
phone start sounding an alarm.
i. When you find your phone, open the App, and you will see that your Smart tag will be flashing
“Red & Yellow” on the Device List screen. To make the alarm stop sounding, all you need to do is
tap anywhere within the box for your device.
Looking at the Navigation Menu for the App at the bottom of the screen, there are other options available than just
having your phone or Smart Tag sound an alarm.
1. Camera/Photograph
a. When the Camera/Photograph option is selected, the “ITracing” app will turn on the camera on your
phone. Within this screen, you can select to turn the camera form front to back and vice versa, and you
can also select to turn the “Flash” on as well.
b. When you are ready to take a picture, all you need to do is press the “Power” button on Smart Tag and a
picture will be taken ad saved to the Photo Library on your phone.
2. Location
a. When the “Location” option is selected, a map will open to show your current location. If you are out
somewhere and your car is parked in a large parking lot, you can press the “power” button once on the
Smart Tag to save your current location of where you are with your car within the app.

b. When you are leaving and you can’t remember where you are parked, you can open the Location map
again and select “Location List”. This will show you the address and Latitude & Longitude points of
where your location was last saved on the map. When the saved location is selected, it will show you
exactly where your location was saved on the map.
c. There is also a button on the Map titled, “Lost History” Any time that the Smart Tag is lost or breaks
connection a location of where the Tag is currently, will be saved into this list. When looking for your
Tag, you can go into this list and select the last place it was registered, and the map will open showing
you the location on the map of the Tag along with latitude & longitude points of the Tag.
3. Settings
a. There are various settings your change within this screen such as: Do Not Disturb status, setting an App
Passcode, changing the type of map that is displayed and so forth.
4. Introduction
a. The last option on the navigation menu is the “Introduction” option. IF you need more detailed
directions of how the Smart Tag works, please select this option.
