3.1 Fig. 3.1 shows the contents of the rear panel kit.
Note: inside view of rear panel assembly shown.
3.2 Loosen the two bolts of the rear panel lower
mount assembly to allow the inner and outer brackets to
slide freely.
3.3 Lift the dump bed. Per fig. 3.3, install the rear
panel lower mount assembly as follows: insert the spring
clip nut into the empty hole above the upper center seat
back bolt (oriented so the threads are towards the front of
the vehicle), temporarily remove the upper center seat
back bolt, place the rear panel lower mount assembly in
position and oriented as shown, re-install the original
equipment seat back bolt into the lower slot. Use caution
to avoid cross threading the threaded insert. Start thread
engagement by hand. Install a new 1/4-20 x 3/4” long
hex head bolt and 1/4” steel flat washer into the upper
slot of the assembly (engaging the threaded spring clip
nut). Tighten both bolts.
3.4 Orient the rear panel assembly with striker pins
toward the inside of the cab. Per fig. 3.4, hook the two
upper pins into the receiving slots in the rear of the upper
mounts. Install two 1/4-20 x 3/4” long hex head bolts and
two 1/4” steel flat washers through the bracket in the rear
panel into the outer bracket to the rear panel lower mount
and tighten. Be sure top pins are fully seated and tighten
the two bolts of the lower mount assembly.
3.5 Peel protective film off window.
