1) Switching on the device
– To switch on the device, hold down the „SOS button“ for at least 5 seconds.
– If no SIM card is inserted in the device, the device vibrates and the blue LED in the centre
lights up.
– If a SIM card is inserted, the device vibrates, the blue LED in the centre lights up, and there
is an audible beep.
– If the blue LED on the device does not flash after switching on, the status of the device can be
verified by tapping the „SOS button“. If the device is switched on, the „LED“ lights up briefly.
Note: If the device is not connected to the network, the LED flashes continuously at
approximately 1-second intervals.
2) Switching off the device
a) No SIM card inserted in the LAMAX GPS Locator / no signal (LED flashes at 1-second
intervals).
– Hold down the „SOS button“ for at least 5 seconds to switch off the device.
b) SIM card inserted in the LAMAX GPS Locator / with signal.
– Switching off cannot be done in the same way as without a SIM card inserted or if the
device has no signal. This measure prevents the LAMAX GPS Locator from being easily and
accidentally switched off manually by the user. Pressing the SOS button for 5 seconds in this
case initiates an SOS call to the set SOS contact numbers in the LAMAX Tracking application.
– In this case there are 2 ways to switch off the LAMAX GPS Locator
1. Press the „SOS button“ 10 times in succession and the device switches off within 3
seconds.
2. Switch off the LAMAX GPS Locator remotely via the LAMAX Tracking application (Menu
→Remote device shutdown).

2. Getting Started
– Insert the Nano SIM card into the device as shown below.

Unscrew the screw on the
plastic protective cover
on the body of the device
(Figs. 1 and 2).
Pull to unlock and open the metal cover located in the Nano SIM slot.
Insert the Nano SIM card (Fig. 3) with the chip towards the device accor-
ding to the cut corner of the SIM card and the layout of the SIM slot. After
inserting the SIM card, close the metal cover and pull to lock it. Then screw
the plastic protective cover back on.
– Turn on the device by holding the „SOS button“ for at least 5 seconds.
– If the blue LED is off or has stopped, proceed to the next section Installing the LAMAX
Tracking application and Registration.
IMPORTANT WARNING
–The SIM card must have a disabled PIN code and an activated data plan. If you are unsure,
you can verify the functionality on your mobile phone.
–To receive calls on the device, it is necessary to set contacts in the LAMAX Tracking mobile
application.
–Do not open, repair, or disassemble the device other than as instructed in this manual.
Unauthorized handling of the device will void the warranty.

3. Installing the LAMAX Tracking app
and Registration
1) Installing the LAMAX Tracking application
To take full advantage of all the device‘s features, you need the LAMAX Tracking mobile
application. Please install it on your smartphone. It is available for free for Android (4.4+) and
iOS (7+) at the link* below, or just search for the app on Google Play or the AppStore.
* If you open the link on your mobile device, you will be automatically directed to the relevant
store.

Fill in your e-mail (1) and password (2). Click Submit Verification Code. A timer will show how
long left until you can send the code again. Check your email inbox, including the SPAM folder,
and copy the verification code.

3) Device registration
To add a device to your account, find the device ID, which can be found on the box.
After successful registration of the device, a setup wizard will be opened in the application, in
which you can enter all the necessary data. If it is skipped, follow the procedure below.
4) Minimum device settings
As an absolute minimum, we recommend going through and setting up the LAMAX GPS
Locator according to the points below:
1. Section 4.2 „SOS button“
2. Section 5.2 „Whitelist“
3. Section 6 „Positioning“

4. LAMAX GPS Locator Environment and Functions
1) Operation
Operating the LAMAX GPS Locator is very simple using the „SOS button“, the „Reset button“
and the LAMAX Tracking application. Everything else happens in the background without
needing to handle the device.
2) SOS button
The physical „SOS button“ (see section LAMAX GPS Locator Control) is primarily intended
for dialling a stored SOS contact and sending an SOS notification to the LAMAX Tracking
application when a threat is felt.
The SOS function is activated by pressing and holding the „SOS button“ for 5 seconds. If two
SOS contacts are entered, and the device cannot get through to the first number entered, it
will automatically call the second. Before dialling, a notification will also be sent to the LAMAX
Tracking mobile application.
Note: To dial an SOS contact, at least one number must be entered in: (Menu →Current
device settings →Default SOS contacts).
3) Reset button
The reset button on the side of the LAMAX GPS Locator is used to restore it when it does not
respond to switching on/off or charging. Caution: do not confuse it with the „SOS button“. It is
necessary to use a blunt thin object (such as a paper clip) to press the reset button. You only
need to press the „SOS button“ once.
After pressing the reset button, connect the LAMAX GPS Locator to the charger and turn it on.
4) LED
The diode is located in the middle of the LAMAX GPS Locator on the top and is used to indicate
the status of the device. Checking that the device is switched on is performed by pressing the
„SOS button“ once. If the device is not connected to the network, the LED lights up at regular
one-second intervals.
5) Time announcement
This function is used to announce the time and must be activated in the LAMAX Tracking
application (Menu →Current device settings →Time voice announcement). This function is
activated by pressing the „SOS button“ twice.

5. Further Features of the LAMAX GPS Locator
1) Monitored areas
In the LAMAX Tracking application it is possible to set „Monitored areas“ (Menu →Device
Geofence). After visiting or leaving the set monitored area, the user of the application will
receive a notification about this event. For more information on setting this function, refer to
the LAMAX Tracking instructions.
2) Whitelist
By setting up the phonebook in the LAMAX Tracking mobile application (Menu →Current
device settings →Whitelist) you add the option to call the locator from the entered numbers.
Set „Administrator phone number“ if you want to block incoming calls from numbers that are
not in the contact list (Menu →Current device settings →Administrator phone number).
If you do not set an „Administrator phone number“, you can call the device from any phone
number.
IMPORTANT WARNING
As part of the initial setup of the application, do not forget to enter your and other necessary
phone numbers in the LAMAX Tracking application (Menu →Current device settings →
Whitelist), otherwise you will not be able to call the LAMAX GPS Locator.
Do not forget to fill in the SOS contacts for the correct functionality of the SOS function, see
4.2. (Menu →Current device settings →Default SOS contacts)
3) Do not disturb / school mode
By activating the „Do not disturb / school mode“ in the LAMAX Tracking application (Menu
→Current device settings →Do not disturb), the functionality of the device is reduced at
set time intervals (e.g.: teaching time/after-school activities) to just using the „SOS button“
and the device cannot be called. This feature can be turned off at any time by deleting time
intervals.
4) Finding the device
With the „Find device“ feature, you can easily locate a device you cannot find. After activating
this function in the LAMAX Tracking mobile application (Menu →Current device settings →
Find a locator), the device will start ringing.

5) Remote shutdown
The LAMAX Locator can be shut down remotely via the LAMAX Tracking application (Menu →
Remote shutdown).
6) Power saving mode
This mode turns off the automatic refreshing of all location services. However, it is still possible
to use manual position reset on the main screen using the icon .
„Power save“ can be found in the LAMAX Tracking app (Menu → Current device settings →
Maximum power saving).
6. Positioning
The LAMAX GPS Locator uses 3 positioning methods:
1) GPS – Primary
GPS refers to the process of determining the position of the device at a specific point in time
using Global Positioning System (GPS) data. Location accuracy ranges from 5 metres to 30
metres based on signal strength. This is the most accurate type of positioning. For GPS to
function properly, the device must be located outside buildings or other covered areas.
2) Wi-Fi – Secondary
Wi-Fi location is used when the device is located inside a building or other area where a GPS
signal is not available, but Wi-Fi networks are. Location accuracy ranges up to 300 metres.
This location function works on the principle of reading the surrounding Wi-Fi networks and
subsequent positioning using their names.
3) LBS – Tertiary
LBS positioning is used when GPS or Wi-Fi location is not available. The position is determined
by the nearest mobile network (GSM) transmitters. LBS-based positioning accuracy is up to
1000 metres.
Note: In LAMAX Tracking, you can turn Wi-Fi and LBS positioning on and off individually
(MENU → Current device settings → General device settings →Do not use LBS or Do not
use Wi-Fi). However, we recommend that this only be done situationally. In cities, we
recommend always leaving at least Wi-Fi positioning on and at least LBS outside cities, due
to the lower density of Wi-Fi coverage in the countryside/villages. If you keep both location
services on (Wi-Fi and LBS), the device always selects the available location method in the
following order (GPS →Wi-Fi →LBS).

2) Protection/water resistance
The LAMAX GPS Locator is IP67 certified. Therefore, it is protected from the ingress of dust,
and can withstand immersion in fresh water for 30 minutes to a depth of 1 metre.
IMPORTANT WARNING
The device is not intended for use during water sports, swimming, diving or showering.
3) Battery life
The battery life of the LAMAX GPS Locator depends on the position refresh interval.
Device battery life according to the set refresh interval:
- 1 minute = lasts up to 1.5 days
- 3 minutes = lasts up to 3 days
- 5 minutes = lasts up to 4 days
- 10 minutes = lasts up to 5 days
- 30 minutes = lasts up to 6 days
- 60 minutes = lasts up to 7 days
- Standby mode = lasts up to 7 days
4) Charging the device
Fully charge the device before using it for the first time. For charging, use only charging
adapters with a current of 1A and a voltage of 5V together with the supplied charging cable.
Using an adapter or cable other than the recommended one may damage your device and void
your warranty.

5) Charging times
The LAMAX GPS Locator charges from 0% battery to 100% battery in about 3 hours using the
recommended adapter.
6) Data traffic
The average data consumption of the LAMAX GPS Locator is less than 50 MB per month
(using a 1-minute positioning frequency).

1) Einschalten des Geräts
– Um das Gerät einzuschalten, halten Sie die „SOS Taste“ mindestens 5 Sekunden gedrückt.
– Wenn sich im Gerät keine SIM Karte befindet, vibriert das Gerät und die blaue Diode in der
Mitte leuchtet auf.
– Wenn eine SIM Karte eingelegt wurde vibriert das Gerät, die blaue Diode in der Mitte
leuchtet auf und es ertönt ein Tonsignal.
– Wenn auf dem Gerät nach dem Einschalten die blaue Diode nicht leuchtet, kann der Status
des eingeschalteten Gerätes durch kurzes Drücken der „SOS Taste“ überprüft werden.
Wenn das Gerät eingeschaltet ist, leuchtet die „LED Diode“ für kurze Zeit auf.
Anm.: Wenn das Gerät nicht an das Netz angeschlossen ist, blinkt die Diode kontinuierlich in
ca. 1 Sekundenintervallen.
2) Ausschalten des Gerätes
a) Im LAMAX GPS Locator befindet sich keine SIM Karte / kein Signal (die Diode blinkt in 1
Sekundenintervallen).
– Um das Gerät auszuschalten, halten Sie die „SOS Taste“ mindestens 5 Sekunden gedrückt.
b) Im LAMAX GPS Locator ist eine SIM Karte eingelegt / Signal vorhanden.
– Das Ausschalten des Gerätes kann nicht auf die gleiche Art erfolgen, wie wenn keine SIM
Karte eingelegt ist oder das Gerät kein Signal hat. Es handelt sich um eine Maßnahme, die
ein manuelles Ausschalten des LAMAX GPS Locator von Seiten des Nutzers verhindert.
Das Drücken der SOS Taste für 5 Sekunden ruft in diesem Fall einen SOS Anruf zu den
eingestellten SOS Kontaktnummern in der LAMAX Tracking Applikation hervor.
– Zum Ausschalten des LAMAX GPS Locators existieren in diesem Fall 2 Arten
1. Drücken Sie 10× nacheinander die „SOS Taste“ und das Gerät schaltet sich innerhalb
von 3 Sekunden aus.

2. Sie können den LAMAX GPS Locator über den Fernzugang mittels der LAMAX Tracking
Applikation ausschalten (Menü →Fernabschaltung des Gerätes).
2. Inbetriebnahme des LAMAX GPS Locators
– Legen Sie die Nano SIM Karte in das Gerät, siehe Abbildung unten.

Schrauben Sie die
Plastikschutzabdeckung auf
dem Gehäuse des Gerätes
ab (Abb. 1 und 2).
Klappen Sie die Metallabdeckung auf, die sich im Nano SIM Slot befindet.
Legen Sie die Nano SIM Karte (Abb. 3) mit dem Chip in Richtung des
Gerätes gemäß der abgeschrägten Kante der SIM Karte und der Lage des
SIM Slots ein. Nachdem Sie die SIM Karte eingelegt haben klappen Sie die
Metallabdeckung zu verschließen Sie diese durch Verschieben. Schrauben
Sie danach wieder die Plastikabdeckung fest.
– Schalten Sie das Gerät durch gedrücktes Halten der „SOS Taste“ für mindestens 5 Sekunden
ein.
– Wenn die blaue LED Diode nicht leuchtet oder zu leuchten aufgehört hat, gehen Sie
nach dem nächsten Punkt der Installation des Applikation LAMAX Tracking und der
Registrierung vor.
WICHTIGER HINWEIS
–Der PIN der SIM Karte muss ausgeschaltet und ein Datentarif aktiviert sein . Wenn Sie
sich nicht sicher sind, können Sie die Funktion im Mobiltelefon überprüfen.
–Um Anrufe mit dem Gerät annehmen zu können, müssen die Kontakte in der mobilen
Applikation LAMAX Tracking eingestellt sein.
–Öffnen Sie das Gerät nicht, reparieren Sie es nicht und zerlegen Sie das Gerät auch nicht auf
eine andere Art, als in diesem Handbuch angeführt. Im Fall einer unberechtigten.

3. Installation der Applikation LAMAX Tracking und
Registrierung
1) Installation der Applikation LAMAX Tracking
Um alle Funktionen des Gerätes nutzen zu können ist die mobile Applikation LAMAX Tracking
erforderlich. Installieren Sie diese bitte, in Ihr Mobiltelefon. Diese gibt es kostenlos für Android
(4.4+) und iOS (7+) unter dem Link* unten oder Sie finden die Applikation in Google Play oder
im AppStore.
* Wenn Sie den Link in Ihrem mobilen Gerät öffnen, werden Sie automatisch zum jeweiligen
Store weitergeleitet.

Geben Sie eine E-Mail (1) und ein Passwort (2) ein. Klicken Sie auf „Verifizierungskode
zusenden“. Es erscheint eine Zeitmessung, die die Zeit anzeigt, wann Sie einen neuen Kode
anfordern können. Kontrollieren Sie Ihr E-Mailpostfach und auch den SPAM Ordner und geben
Sie den angeführten Verifizierungskode ein.
3) Registrierung des Gerätes
Um das Gerät Ihrem Konto zuordnen zu können, bereiten Sie die ID Ihres Gerätes vor, die Sie
auf der Verkaufspackung finden.
Nach erfolgreicher Registrierung des Geräts wird in der Anwendung ein Setup-Assistent ge-
öffnet, in den Sie alle erforderlichen Daten eingeben können. Falls Sie diesen überspringen,
gehen Sie wie folgt vor.
4) Minimale Einstellungen des Gerätes
Als absolutes Minimum empfehlen wir den LAMAX GPS Locator gemäß dem unten
angeführten Punkt einzustellen:
1. Abschnitt 4.2 „SOS Taste“
2. Abschnitt 5.2 „Telefonverzeichnis“
3. Abschnitt 6 „Lokalisierung“

4. Der LAMAX GPS Locator und seine Funktionen
1) Bedienung
Die Bedienung des LAMAX GPS Locators ist sehr einfach und erfolgt über die „SOS Taste“,
und eventuell auch über die „Resettaste“und die Applikation LAMAX Tracking. Alles andere
geschieht im Hintergrund ohne eine erforderliche Manipulation mit dem Gerät.
2) SOS Taste
Die „SOS Taste“ (siehe Abschnitt Bedienung des LAMAX GPS Locators) dient primär zum
Anrufen des gespeicherten SOS Kontaktes und zur Versendung einer SOS Benachrichtigung
an die LAMAX Tracking Applikation in Notfällen.
Die Aktivierung der SOS Funktion erfolgt durch langes Drücken der „SOS Taste“ für 5 Sekun-
den. Wenn zwei SOS Kontakte eigegeben wurden und die Uhr nicht die erste eingetragene
Nummer erreichen kann, wird automatisch die zweite Nummer angerufen. Vor dem Anruf wird
auch eine Benachrichtigung an die mobile LAMAX Tracking Applikation versendet.
Anmerkung: Damit der SOS Kontakt angerufen werden kann, muss mindestens eine
Nummer wie folgt eingegeben werden: (Menü →Einstellungen des aktuellen Gerätes →
Voreingestellte SOS-Kontakte).
3) Resettaste
Die Resettaste an der Seite des LAMAX GPS Locator dient zum Neustart, wenn das Gerät nicht
auf ein/aus reagiert oder der Ladevorgang nicht gestartet wird. Vorsicht, nicht mit der „SOS
Taste“ verwechseln. Zum Drücken der Restarttaste sollte ein dünner stumpfer Gegenstand
verwendet werden (wie z.B. eine Büroklammer). Die „SOS Taste“ muss nur einmal gedrückt
werden.
Nachdem die Resettaste gedrückt wurde, verbinden Sie den LAMAX GPS Locator mit dem
Ladegerät und schalten Sie ihn ein.
4) LED Diode
Die Diode befindet sich in der Mitte des LAMAX GPS Locators an seiner Oberseite und dient
zur Anzeige des Zustandes des Gerätes. Die Kontrolle, ob das Gerät eingeschaltet ist, erfolgt
durch einmaliges Drücken der „SOS Taste“. Wenn das Gerät nicht mit dem Netz verbunden ist,
leuchtet die Diode in regelmäßigen Sekundenintervallen auf.
5) Sprachanzeige der Zeit
Diese Funktion dient zur Sprachanzeige der Zeit und muss in der Applikation LAMAX Tracking
aktiviert werden (Menü → Einstellungen des aktuellen Gerätes →Sprachanzeige der Zeit).
Diese Funktion wird durch 2x Drücken der „SOS Taste“ aktiviert.

5. Weitere Funktionen des LAMAX GPS Locators
1) Überwachte Gebiete
In der Applikation LAMAX Tracking können die „Überwachte Gebiete“ eingestellt werden
(Menü →Überwachte Gebiete). Nach dem Besuch oder Verlassen des eingestellten
Überwachungsbereiches erhält der Nutzer der Applikation über dieses Ereignis eine
Benachrichtigung. Mehr über die Einstellungen dieser Funktion finden Sie in der Anleitung der
Applikation LAMAX Tracking.
2) Telefonverzeichnis
Durch die Einstellung des Telefonverzeichnises in der mobilen Applikation LAMAX Tracking
(Menü →Einstellungen des aktuellen Gerätes → Telefonverzeichnis) erhalten Sie die
Möglichkeit den Locator über die eingetragenen Telefonnummern erreichen zu können.
Geben Sie die „Telefonnummer des Administrators“ ein, wenn Sie eingehende Anrufe von
Telefonnummern blockieren wollen, die nicht in der Liste der Kontakte angeführt sind (Menü
→Einstellungen des aktuellen Gerätes →Telefonnummer des Administrators). Wenn Sie
keine „Telefonnummer des Administrator“ eingeben, kann das Gerät von jeder beliebigen
Telefonnummer aus angerufen werden.
WICHTIGER HINWEIS
Vergessen Sie nicht im Rahmen der Ersteinstellung der Applikation ihre und weitere
erforderliche Telefonnummern in der Applikation LAMAX Tracking (Menü →Einstellungen
des aktuellen Gerätes →Telefonverzeichnis), sonst können Sie den LAMAX GPS Locator
nicht anrufen.
Vergessen Sie auch nicht die SOS Kontakte einzugeben, damit die SOS Funktion
richtig funktioniert, siehe Punkt 4.2. (Menü →Einstellungen des aktuellen Gerätes →
Voreingestellte SOS Kontakte)
3) Modus Nicht stören / Schule
Durch Einschalten der Funktion „Bitte nicht stören Modus /Schule“ in der Applikation LAMAX
Tracking (Menü →Einstellungen des aktuellen Gerätes →Modus Nicht stören / Schule), in

wird nur auf die Zeitanzeige, „SOS Taste“ beschränkt und das Gerät ist nicht erreichbar. Diese
Funktion kann jederzeit durch Löschen der Zeitintervalle ausgeschaltet werden.
4) Gerät finden
Dank der Funktion „Gerät finden“ kann das Gerät einfach gefunden werden, von dem Sie nicht
wissen, wo es sich befindet. Aktivierung dieser Funktion in der mobilen Applikation LAMAX
Tracking (Menü →Einstellungen des aktuellen Gerätes →Gerät finden), das Gerät beginnt
zu klingeln.
