3. Protective functions
3.1.
Freezing protection control:
If the temperature in the outlet pipe drops too low in the cooling, dehumidification
or energy saving mode, the air conditioning unit will be automatically switched to
the protected status. When the temperature in the outlet pipe increases above a
specified value, the air conditioning unit returns to normal operation mode.

10
3.2.
Overflow protection control:
When the water level in the water reservoir exceeds an alarm level, the air
conditioning unit gives an acoustic warning signal and the ‘WATER FULL’ indicator
starts flashing. In this case, connect the drain hose to the outlet of the air-
conditioning unit, put the other end into the waste or a collection container and
drain water from the air-conditioning unit (see the Drainage instructions). After
draining the water, the air conditioning unit returns to its original operating state.
3.3.
Automatic defrosting (this is only available on the models with the cooling
function): The air conditioning unit is equipped with an automatic defrosting
function. Defrosting is carried out using a four-way reverse valve.
3.4.
Compressor protection:
In order to extend the service life, the compressor is equipped with a protective
function of a three-minute delay of restarting the compressor after it has been
switched off.
Installation and positioning
1. Installation:
Warning: The mobile air conditioning unit should be left standing upright for at least two
hours before starting.
The air conditioning unit can be easily moved around the room. When moving, the air
conditioning unit should be placed on a flat surface in a vertical position. Do not place or use
the air conditioning unit in bathrooms or other wet areas.
1.1 Installation of the hot air outlet piping assembly (see Fig. 1)
1) Unpack the connector and the outlet pipe assembly from the package and remove them
from the plastic bags.
2) Insert the outlet pipe assembly (the end of the outlet connector) into the groove of the
ventilation hole in the rear panel of the air conditioning unit (push to the left) and
complete the assembly as shown in Fig. 1.
Fig. 1

11
1.2 Installation of the window sealing plate assembly parts
1) Partly open the window and fit the window sealing plate assembly into the window (see
Fig. 2 and Fig. 3). The plate parts can be placed both in horizontal and vertical positions.
2) Spread the parts of the window sealing plate assembly and adjust the hole distance so
that both ends of the plate assembly are in contact with the window frame and attach
the assembly parts to the window.
Notes:
1) The flat end of the outlet pipe must snap into the opening.
2) The outlet piping must not be deformed or bent to a sharp angle (more than 45°). Keep
the outlet piping clear.
1.3 Air-conditioning unit installation
1) Place the air conditioning unit with the hot air outlet piping and the accessories in front
of the window, whereas the distance of the air conditioning unit body from the walls
and other objects must be at least 50 cm (see Fig. 4).
2) Extend the outlet piping and attach the flat end of the piping to the opening in the
window sealing plate assembly (see Fig. 5 and Fig. 6).
Notes:
a/ The flat end of the outlet pipe must snap into the opening.
b/ The outlet piping must not be deformed or bent to a sharp angle (more than 45°). Keep
the outlet piping clear.
Fig. 2
Fig. 3
Fig. 4

12
Important:
The length of the outlet piping must be in the range of 280 –1,500 mm. This length depends
on the specification of the air-conditioning unit. Do not use extension pipes or replace
original pipes with other ones. This might result in incorrect functioning of the air
conditioning unit. The outlet must not be obstructed. This might result in overheating of the
air conditioning unit.
Drainage instructions
This air conditioning unit allows two modes of draining the condensed water: manual or
continuous.
1) Manual drainage
1) When the air conditioning unit is stopped after
filling the water tank, switch off the air
conditioning unit and disconnect the power cable
plug from the socket.
Notes: Handle the air conditioning unit carefully to
avoid spillage of water from the container located at
the bottom of the unit body.
2) Place a water container under the drainage hole
at the rear side of the air conditioning unit.
3) Unscrew the cap, remove the drainage plug and
drain the water by gravity into a container.
Fig. 5
Fig. 6

13
Notes:
1) Handle the cap and plug with care.
2) When draining water, the air conditioning unit may be tilted slightly backwards.
3) If it is obvious that the container does not take the entire volume of water from the
tank, close the drainage hole with a plug to avoid water spilling on the floor or the
carpet.
4) After draining water from the tank, close the drainage aperture with a plug and mount
the cap onto it.
2) Continuous drainage of condensed water (optional and only applicable for
dehumidification mode), see the following figure:
1) Unscrew the cap and remove the drain plug.
2) Connect the drain hose to the drain hole.
3) Insert the other end of the hose in a bucket.

14
MAINTENANCE
Cleaning: Before cleaning and maintenance, switch off the air conditioning unit and
disconnect the power cable plug from the electrical socket.

Clean with a damp soft cloth. Do not use chemical agents such as benzene, alcohol,
petrol, etc., otherwise the surface or the entire air-conditioning unit may be damaged.
2. Cleaning the strainer
If the strainer becomes clogged with dust the efficiency of the air conditioning unit will be
reduced. Therefore, clean the strainer at least every two weeks.
3. Cleaning the top strainer holder
1) Using a screwdriver, remove one screw fixing the EVA filter strainer and the rear cover;
remove the EVA filter strainer.
2) Wash the EVA filter in a lukewarm water solution (approximately 40°C/104°F) with a
neutral cleaning agent, rinse it clean and allow to dry in the shade.
STORAGE
1. Unscrew the cap of the drain hole, remove the plug and drain the water from the tank
into a prepared container, or tilt the air conditioning unit and drain the water directly to
the storage container.
2. Switch on the air conditioning unit, switch the fan into the low-speed mode and let the
unit run in this mode until the drain hoses dry out. This will ensure drying of the inside
of the air conditioning unit to prevent mould formation.
3. Switch off the air conditioning unit, disconnect the power cable plug from the mains
socket, wrap the power cable onto the cable holder, replace the plug and mount the cap
onto the drain hole.
