CAUTION abou t positioning the appliance
Install the washing machine on a flat hard floor. Make sure that air circulation around the washing machine is
not impeded by carpets, rug etc.

Never tryto correct any unevenness in the floor using pieces of wood, cardboard or similar materials under the washing machine.

Ifitisnotpossibletopositionthewashingmachineawayfromagascookerorcoalburningstove,aninsulationpanel
(85x60cm) covered withaluminum foil on the side facing the cooker or stove, must be inserted between the two appliances.

The washing machine must not be installed in rooms where the temperature may drop below 0°C.

•The installation surface must be clean, dry and level.
•Install washing machine on a flat hard floor.
•Proper placement and levelling of the washing machine ensure long, regular and reliableoperation.
•The washing machine must be perfectly level and firmlyin position.
•It must not “see-saw” across corners under load.
•The installation surface must be clean, free from floor wax and other lubricant coatings.
•Do not allow the feet of the washing machine to get wet. If feet of the washing machine get wet, slipping may occur.

Safe ty ins truc tions for use
Read all instructions and ex planations of the installat ion before use. Follow the inst ructions carefully. Keep the o perating
instructions handy fo r later use. If the appliance is sold or passed on then ensure t hat the new owner always receives these
operating instructi ons. The following warnings must be strictly o bserved for safety reasons. They mu st be read before instal-
ling the appliance and put ting it into operation.
• Intended use: This ap pliance has been designed exclusively for use in dry-inter ior households. Use the appliance only
with cold drinking water and o nly for washing textiles with washing detergents des igned for washing machines.
Every other use is improp er and may lead to injuries, whereby the liability of the manufact urer will cease.
• This appliance may only be used by adul ts. Do not allow children to touch the controls or to play wi th the product.
• Never modify the applia nce on your own, as this is dangerous.
• This appliance is heavy. Transpor ting with care.
• Remove all packaging and transp ort bolts before using the appliance. Oth erwise serious damage may result.
• All installation work mus t be carried out by a qualified fitter or tech nician.
• Have electrical connec tions done by a qualified electrician.
• Never place the appliance on th e power cord.
• If the appliance is placed on a c arpet then place the feet so that air can circulate underne ath the appliance.
• Always unplug the machine and turn of f the water supply after use. Disconnect ap pliance by pulling only the plug - never
disconnect by pulling the power co rd. Never touch the plug with wet fingers or hands.
• Do not overload the appliance.
• Wash only machine-washable tex tiles. If you have doubts regarding this, then obser ve the markings on the label.
• Never place electrical he aters, candles etc. in the vicinity of the appliance. T hey could cause the appliance to ignite or
parts to warp.
• Protect the appliance fro m wet and damp. Otherwise, there is danger of electr ic shock and fire.
• Connect the appliance to a s uitable wall socket for 220-240V. Never use an extensi on cord or double adapter.
• Empty all pockets. H ard or sharp objects such as coins, needles, nails, s crews or stones may cause serious damage.
Unbalanced mass may create he avy vibrations. If heavy vibrations re main also without load, call for an authorized
customer service.
• Do not wash or dry ar ticles that have been cleaned in, washed in, soaked in, or dabbed w ith combustible or explosive
substances (su ch as wax, oil, paint, gasoline, degreasers, dr y-cleaning solvents, kerosene, etc.). T his may result in fire
or explosion.
• Never insert product s coated with mineral oils (e.g. nylon coating, plas tic belts, etc. ) into the machine. If a stain remover
has been used then make sure that t he solvent has been carefully washed out before inser ting the clothes into the
appliance. Oil may remain in the tub af ter a whole cycle resulting in fire during drying. So, do not load oily clothes.
• Do not operate the applianc e at locations where flammable substances are pre sent such as oil, benzene or highly
inflammable gas. Such materia ls may cause fire or explosion. Never use combustible dete rgents.
• Only add the prescribed amou nt of softener. Excessive amounts may damage the clothes.
• After washing, keep the dru m door open to protect the door seal.
• Make sure that all water has run of f before opening the door. Never open the door if water still rema ins. Danger of
scalding.
• Animals and children may get into the washing m achine. So always check the appliance before using it.
• During washing, the glass door b ecomes very hot. Keep children away from the applian ce when in operation.
• Never try to repair the machin e yourself. Incorrect repairs may result in injuries and /or serious defects to the machine.
• The product should be ser viced and repaired only by the authorised cust omer service using original replacement par ts.
• When dispo sing of your old machine, the power cable must be capped and the d oor lock must be made unusable in order to
protect children.
• When placing on a carpeted fl oor,make sur e that the opening in the socket is not blocked.
• If the app liance has been under water then contact the custom er service. There is danger of electric shoc k and fire.
• The cover cup o f the filter as well as the dispenser drawer may not be opened durin g the operation.
• Keep all washing p owder and detergents away from children. Danger of poisoning

• The appliance is fitted with tra nsit bolts to prevent internal
damage during transpor t. Be careful, heavy load !
• Packing and all transit bolts must be remove d before using
the washing machine.
• When unpacking the base, be sure to remove the addi tional
packing support in th e middle of the base packing.
Store original packing fo r future move.
Dispose of packing materia l according to local regulations.
Unscrew the 4 bolts
using the spanner
supplied.
Keep the 4 bolts and the spanner for the future use. Refit transitbolts before transporting the appliance.
Level floor: Permis sible floor gradient under entire washing machine
is 1˚ .
Power socket : Must be within 100 cm of either side of location of
washing machine. Do not overload the so cket with more than one
appliance.
Additional Cle arance: For wall, floor and doo r space is needed.
(10cm: rear / 2cm: right & left side). Do not place or st ore laundry pro-
ducts on top of the washing machine a t any times. They can damage
the finish or controls of the machi ne.
1. Do not use an extension cord or doubleadapter.
2. Have damaged supply cords replaced by the manufacturer or its service agents or a similarly qualified person to prevent
danger.
3. Always unplug the machine and turn offthe water supply after use.
4. Connect the machine to an earthed socket in accordance with current wiring regulations.
5. The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is easily accessible.
•Repairstothewashingmachinemustonlybecarriedoutbyqualifiedpersonnel.Repairscarriedoutbyinexperienced
persons may cause injury or serious malfunctioning. Contact your local service centre.
•Donotinstallyourwashingmachineinroomswheretemperaturebelowfreezingmayoccur.Frozenhosesmayburstunder
pressure. The electronic control unit may become unreliable at temperatures below freezing point.
•Iftheapplianceisdeliveredinthewintermonthsandtemperaturesarebelowfreezing:Leavethewashingmachinestanding
at room temperature for a few hours before putting it into operation.
• The drain hose should not be placed higher t han 100 cm above the floor.
• Proper securing of the drain hose will pr otect the floor from damage due to any water leakage.
• If the drain hose is too long do not forc e back into the washing machine. This will cause unusual noise.
• Proper level-adjustment of the washing ma-
chine prevents excessive noise and v ibration.
Install the appliance on a s olid and level floor
surface, preferably in a co rner of the room.
• If the floor is uneven, adju st feet as required.
(Do not inser t pieces of wood etc. under the
feet). Make sure th at all four feet are stable
and resting on the floor. Then check t hat
the appliance is perfe ctly level. (Use a spirit
level).

5Conne ctin g water s upply h ose
• Two rubber seals are supplied wit h the water inlet
hoses. They are used for preve nting water leaks.
• Make sure the connec tion to taps is tight enough.
• Periodically chec k the condition of the hose and
replace the hose if necess ary.
• Make sure that there is no k ink on the hose and that
it is not crushed.
Water supply pressure must be bet ween 1.0-10 bar (100kPa~1000kPa)
Don’t strip or crossthre ad when connecting inlet hose to the valve.
If the water supply pressure i s more than 1000kPa, a decompression
device should be installed.
If after completing co nnection water leaks from the hose, repeat the s ame steps. Use the most conventional
type of tap for water sup ply.I n case the faucet is square or too big, remove the spacing ring be fore inserting
the tap into the adaptor.
