wax, oil, paint, gasoline, degreasers, dry
cleaning solvents, kerosene, etc.) which ay

a whole cycle resulting in fire during drying. So,
do not load oiled clothes.
• Always follow the fabric care instructions
supplied by the gar ent anufacturer.
• Do not sla the washer door closed or try to
force the door open when locked. This could
result in da age to the washer.
• To ini ize the possibility of electric shock,
unplug this appliance fro the power supply or
disconnect the washer at the household
distribution panel by re oving the fuse or
switching off the circuit breaker before
atte pting any aintenance or cleaning.
• Never atte pt to operate this appliance if it is
da aged, alfunctioning, partially
disasse bled, or has issing or broken parts,
including a da aged cord or plug.
• Dryer is intended for only drying textile aterial.
• If the washer has been exposed to water, call an
authorized service provider to avoid any risk of
fire or electric shock.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance ust be grounded. In the event of alfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk
of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for electric current. This appliance is equipped with
a cord having an equip ent-grounding conductor and grounding plug. The plug ust be plugged into an
appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinance.
• Do not use an adapter or otherwise defeat the grounding plug.
• If you don’t have the proper outlet, consult an electrician.

1. To prevent internal da age during
transport, the special 4 bolts are locked.
Before operating the washer, re ove
the bolts along with the rubber bungs.
• If they are not re oved, it ay cause
heavy vibration, noise and alfunction.
2. Unscrew the 4 bolts with
the spanner supplied.
3. Take out the 4 bolts along with the
rubber bungs by slightly twisting the
bung. Keep the 4 bolts and the spanner
for future use.
• Whenever the appliance is transported,
the transit bolts ust be refitted.
4. Close the holes with the caps supplied.
The appliance is fitted with transit bolts to prevent internal da age during transport.
• Packing and all transit bolts must
be removed before using the
washer.
When unpacking the base, be
sure to remove the additional
packing support in the middle
of the base packing.

Do not place or store laundry products on top of
washer at any time.

Installation place requirement
Positioning
Install the washer on a flat hard floor.
Make sure that air circulation around the washer is not impeded by carpets,rug etc.
• Before placing the washer on tiles, apply a rubber mat under the feet.
• Never try to correct any unevenness in the floor with pieces of wood, cardboard or similar
materials under the washer.
• If it is impossible to avoid positioning the washer next to a gas cooker or coal burning stove,an
insulating(85x60cm) covered with aluminum foil on the side facing the cooker or stove,must be
inserted between the two appliance.
• The washer must not be installed in rooms where the temperature can drop below 0°C.
• Please ensure that when the washer is installed, it is easily accessible for the engineer in the
event of a breakdown.
• With the washer installed adjust all four feet using the transit bolt spanner provided ensuring the
appliance is stable, and a clearance of approximately 20mm is left between the top of the washer
and the underside of the work-top.

Water supply pressure must be between 50kPa and 800kPa (0.5~8kgf/cm2)

If the water supply pressure is m re than 800kPa, a dec mpressi n device
sh uld be installed.
• Two rubber seals are supplied with the water inlet hoses these are in
order to prevent water leaks.
• Check water tightness of washing achine connections by turning
the tap co pletely on.
• Periodically check the condition of the hose and replace the hose if
necessary.
• Make sure that there is no kink on the hose and that it is not crushed.

When y ur washer has tw valves,
• The Inlet hose which has red connector is for the hot water tap.
• If the washer has two valves, the energy is saved by using hot valve.
Washing Machine is to be connected to the water mains using new hose-sets and that old
hose-sets should not be used.
Connecting water supply hose
1. Do not use an extension cord or double adapter.
2. If the supply cord is da aged, it ust be replaced by the anufacturer or its service agents or
si ilarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
3. Always unplug the achine and turn off the water supply after use.
4. Connect the achine to an earthed socket in accordance with current wiring regulations.
5. The appliance ust be positioned so that the plug is easily accessible.
• Repairs to the washing achine ust only be carried out by qualified personnel. Repairs carried out by
inexperienced persons ay cause injury or serious alfunctioning. Contact your local service center
• Do not install your washing achine in roo s where te peratures below freezing ay occur. Frozen hoses
ay burst under pressure. The reliability of the electronic control unit ay be i paired at te peratures below
freezing point.
• If the appliance is delivered in the winter onths and te peratures are below freezing : Store the washing
achine at roo te perature for a few hours before putting it into operation.
Electrical connection
CAUTION concerning he Power Cord
Most appliances reco end they be placed upon a dedicated circuit; that is, a single outlet circuit
which powers only that appliance and has no additional outlets or branch circuits. Check the
specification page of this owner's anual to be certain.
Do not overload wall outlets. Overloaded wall outlets, loose or da aged wall outlets, extension cords,
frayed power cords, or da aged or cracked wire insulation are dangerous. Any of these conditions
could result in electric shock or fire. Periodically exa ine the cord of your appliance, and if its
appearance indicates da age or deterioration, unplug it, discontinue use of the appliance, and have
the cord replaced with an exact replace ent part by an authorized servicer.
Protect the power cord fro physical or echanical abuse, such as being twisted, kinked, pinched,
closed in a door, or walked upon. Pay particular attention to plugs, wall outlets, and the point where
the cord exits the appliance.
If this appliance is supplied fro a cord extension set or electrical portable outlet device, the cord
extension set or electrical portable outlet device ust be positioned so that it is not subject to
splashing or ingress of oisture.

After completing connection, if water leaks from the hose, then repeat the same steps. Use the most
conventional type of faucet for water supply. In case the faucet is square or too big, remove the
spacing ring before inserting the faucet into the adaptor.

1.Unscrew the fixing screw to
attach the tap.
2.Push the connector up till the
rubber packing is in tight contact
with the tap. Then tighten the 4
screws.
3.Push the water supply hose
vertically upwards so that the
rubber packing within the hose
can adhere co pletely to the tap
and then tighten it by screwing it
to the right.
1.Loosen the upper connector
screw.
2.Push the upper connector up till
the rubber packing is in tight
contact with the tap. Then
tighten the 4 screws.
3. Connect the water supply hose
to the iddle connector,
pushing the plate down.
• Your achine co es with only
cold water connection.
• Make sure that there are no
kinks in the hose and that it is
not crushed.
• Make sure that the rubber seal
is inside the hose connector.
• In case the dia eter of the tap is
large re ove the guide plate.
• Turn the iddle connector to
eli inate water leaked.
• To separate the water supply
hose fro the iddle connector
shut off the tap. Then pull the
inlet hose down, pushing the
plate down.

Installation of drain hose
• The end of the drain hose should not be
placed higher than 100 c above the floor.
• Proper securing of the drain hose will
protect the floor fro da age due to water
leakage.
• When the drain hose is too long, do not
force back into the washer. This will cause
abnor al noise, alfunction, and water
leakage.
• When installing the drain hose to a sink,
secure it tightly with a string.
• Proper securing of the drain hose will protect
the floor fro da age due to water leakage
should the drain hose beco e loose.
This equip ent is not designed for ariti e use or for use in obile installations such as
caravans, aircraft etc.
Turn off the tap if the achine is to be left for any length of ti e (e.g. holiday), especially if there
is no floor drain(gully) in the i ediate vicinity.
When disposing of the appliance, cut off the ains cable, and destroy the Plug.
Disable the door lock to prevent young children being trapped inside.
Packaging aterial (e.g. Fil s, Styrofoa ) can be dangerous for children. There is a risk of

Wooden floors (Suspended floors)
• The installation surface ust be clean, dry and level.
• Install washer on a flat hard floor.
Tile floors (Slippery floors)
• Position each foot on the Tread Mate and level the achine to suit. (Cut Tread Mate into 70x70
sections and stick the pieces on to the dry tile where achine is to be placed.)

Tread Mate is a self adhesive material used on ladders & steps that prevents slipping.
• Wooden floors are particularly susceptible to vibration.
• To reduce, vibration we reco end you place rubber cups under each foot,
at least 15 thick under the washer, secured to at least 2 floor bea s with
screws.
• If possible install the washer in one of the corners of the roo , where the
floor is ore stable.

• Proper place ent and levelling of the washer ensures long, regular and reliable operation.
• The washer ust be absolutely horizontal and stand fir ly in position.
• It ust not “Seesaw” across corners under load.
• The installation surface ust be clean, free fro floor wax and other lubricant coatings.
• Do not let the feet of the washer get wet. If feet of the washer get wet, slipping ay occur.

Level adjustment
1. Adjusting the washing achine level properly prevents excessive
noise and vibration.
Install the appliance on a solid and level floor surface, preferably in
a corner of the roo .
2. If the floor is uneven, adjust the adjustable feet as required. (do
not insert pieces of wood etc. under the feet)
Make sure that all four feet are stable and resting on the floor and
then check that the appliance is perfectly level. (use a spirit level)

After the washer is level, tighten the lock nuts up towards of the base of
the washer. All lock nuts must be tightened.
❊ Diagonal Check
When pushing down the edges of the washing machine top plate diagonally, the
machine should not move up and down at all. (Please, check both of two directions)
If machine rocks when pushing the machine top plate diagonally, adjust the feet again.
NOTE
Timber or suspended type flooring may contribute to excessive
vibration and unblance errors.
NOTE
In the case that the washing machine is installed on a raised platform,
it must be securely fastened in order to eliminate the risk that it might
fall off.

1. Care Labels
Look for a care label on your clothes. This will tell you about the fabric content of your gar ent
and how it should be washed.
2. Sor ing
To get the best results, Sort clothes into loads that can be washed with the sa e wash cycle.
Water te perature and spin speed and different fabrics need to be washed in different ways.
Always sort dark colors fro pale colors and whites. Wash separately as dye and lint transfer can occur
causing discoloration of white etc. If possible, do not wash heavily soiled ite s with lightly soiled one.
Soil (Heavy, Nor al, Light) Separate clothes according to a ount of soil.
Color (White, Lights, Darks) Separate white fabrics fro colored fabrics.
Lint (Lint producers, Collectors) Wash lint producers and lint collectors
separately.
3. Caring before loading
Combine large and small items in a load. Load large items first. Large items sho ld not be more
than half the total wash load.
Do not wash single items. This may ca se an o t-of-balance load. Add one or two similar items.

Select a cycle (COTTON 60°C, add a half load of detergent) allow the unit to wash
without clothing.
This will re ove residues fro the dru that ay have been left during anufacturing.
• Check all pockets to ake sure that they are
e pty. Ite s such as nails, hair clip, atches,
pens, coins and keys can da age both your
washer and your clothes.
• Close zippers, hooks and strings to ake sure
that these ite s don’t snag on other clothes.
• Do not be stuck between the door and the
glass.
• Pre treat dirt and stains by brushing a little
detergent dissolved in water onto stains like
collars and cuffs to help shift dirt.
• If you wash underwear, use the wash cloth
bag. If you don’t use the wash cloth bag while
washing the underwear, wires in the bra ay
ake a noise.

To protect your garments, not every wash/rinse temperature, spin speed, soil level, or option is
available with every cycle.

(1) POWER ON/OFF BUTTON
Press to turn the washer ON. Press again
to turn the washer OFF.
(2) CYCLE SELECTOR KNOB
Turn this knob to select the desired cycle.
Once the desired cycle has been
selected, the standard presets will be
shown in the display. These settings can
be adjusted using the cycle setting
buttons anyti e before starting the cycle.
(3) START/PAUSE BUTTON
Press this button to START the selected
cycle. If the washer is running, use this
button to PAUSE the cycle without losing
the current settings.
(4) STEAM BUTTON
Press the STEAM button to add stea to
the selected cycle for added cleaning power.
(5) CYCLE SETTING BUTTONS
Use these buttons to select the desired
cycle options for the selected cycle. The
current options are shown in the display.
Press the button for that option to view
and select other settings.
(6) DELAY BUTTON
Press this button to delay the start of the
wash cycle. Each press of the button
increases the delay ti e by one hour, up
to 19 hours.
(7) LCD DISPLAY
The display shows the settings, esti ated
ti e re aining, options, and status
essages for your Stea Washer™. The
light in the display will re ain on through
the cycle.
(8) SPECIAL FUNCTION BUTTONS
The special function buttons allow you to
select additional functions and will light
when selected. Certain buttons also allow
you to activate secondary functions by
pressing and holding the button for 3
seconds.
For detailed infor ation about the
individual functions, please see the
following pages.
(9) OPTION BUTTON
Press this button to select additional cycle
options such as WATER PLUS, PRE
WASH, EXTRA RINSE, STAIN CYCLE,
and SPINSENSE™.
Press the button next to the desired option
in the display to select. The button will
light to show the option has been
selected.

NOTE
Pressing the ON/OFF button during a cycle
will cancel that cycle and any load
settings will be lost.
NOTE
If you do not press the START/PAUSE button
within 8 minutes of selecting a cycle, the
washer automatically turns off.

The Lcd Display
The LCD display shows the settings,
esti ated ti e re aining, options, and status
essages for your washer. When the washer
is turned on, the light in the display will
illu inate.
(1) STATUS/CYCLE DISPLAY
This portion of the display shows the
selected cycle, operating status, and
special essages. If a cycle has special
instructions, they will also be displayed in
this area.
(2) ESTIMATED TIME REMAINING
When the START/PAUSE button is
pressed, the washer auto atically detects
the wash load (weight) and opti izes the
washing ti e, based on the selected cycle
and options. The display will then indicate
the esti ated ti e re aining for the
selected wash cycle.
(3) CYCLE COMPLETION INDICATOR
Shows how uch of the current wash
cycle has been co pleted.
(4) DOOR LOCK INDICATOR
Indicates that the door is locked. The
washer door will lock while the washer is
operating. The door can be unlocked by
pressing the START/PAUSE button to stop
the washer.
(5) CHILD LOCK INDICATOR
When CHILD LOCK is set, the Child Lock
indicator will appear and all buttons are
disabled except the ON/OFF button. This
prevents children fro changing settings
while the washer is operating.
(6) SPINSENSETM INDICATOR
This indicator shows that the washer has
been set for the EXTRA RINSE option.
(7) EXTRA RINSE INDICATOR
This indicator shows that the washer has
been set for the EXTRA RINSE option.
(8) WATER PLUS INDICATOR
This indicator shows that the washer has
been set for the WATER PLUS option.
(9) STAIN CYCLE INDICATOR
This indicator shows that the washer has
been set for the STAIN CYCLE option.
(10) PRE WASH INDICATOR
This indicator shows that the washer has
been set for the PRE WASH option.
(11) CYCLE SETTING INDICATORS
These indicators show the current cycle
settings for WASH/RINSE, SPIN
SPEED, SOIL LEVEL, and BEEPER. To
change these settings, press the
appropriate settings button.

cycle, rather than just the agitation portion
of the cycle, as is typically shown on a top-
loading washer.

If the temperature in the washer is too high,
the door cannot be unlocked until the
washer has cooled. If the water level is too
high, select the DRAIN & SPIN cycle to drain
excess water. Do not try to force open the
door.

Operating The Washer
Once you have loaded the washer and added
laundry products (detergent, bleach, and/or
fabric softener):
Press the ON/OFF button to
turn on the washer. The
lights around the cycle
selector knob will illu inate.
Turn the cycle selector knob to the desired
cycle. The display will show the preset
Rinse/Wash Te perature, Spin Speed, Soil
Level, and Option settings for that cycle.
If you would like to change the settings for
that cycle, press the option button(s) to
display additional settings for that option.
Press the button again to cycle through the
settings until the desired setting is shown.
Select any additional cycle options, such as
STEAM or DELAY WASH by pressing the
button for that option, or by pressing the
OPTION button for additional options.

washer will calculate the esti ated ti e
re aining. Once the washer has calculated
the esti ated total cycle ti e, the washer
will start. To pause the cycle at any ti e,
press PAUSE.
When the load is finished, the beeper (if
set) will sound and the door will unlock.

for small or lightly soiled loads by selecting
the Speed Wash cycle and setting the Soil
Level button to Light.

Refresh uses the power of stea alone to
quickly reduce wrinkles and odor in fabrics. It
brings new life to wrinkled clothes that have
been stored for an extended ti e and akes
heavily wrinkled clothes easier to iron. Refresh
can also be used to help reduce odors in
fabrics.
STEAM cycles include the
Sanitary, Bulky/Large, Per .
Press, Cotton/Nor al, and
Allergy Care cycles. Adding
the Stea option to these cycles provides
superior cleaning perfor ance while reducing
energy and water consu ption. By using a hot
stea spray fro above and cooler water
below, fabrics get the cleaning benefits of a
super hot wash, without the energy usage or
potential da age to fabrics.
Turn on the washer and turn the cycle
selector knob to select a cycle with the
STEAM option.
Press the STEAM button. The washer will
auto atically adjust the cycle settings.
Set any other desired options.
Press the START/PAUSE button to start
the cycle. The washer will start
auto atically.

• Stea ay not be clearly visible during the
stea cycles. This is nor al. Too uch
stea could da age clothing.
• Do not use stea with delicate fabrics such
as wool, silk, or easily discolored fabrics.

To Add STEAM o a S andard
Cycle:
Using he Refresh Cycle
Turn on the washer and turn the cycle
selector knob to select the Refresh cycle.
Load up to 5 ite s and close the door.
Press the STEAM button until the correct
nu ber of ite s is shown in the display. No
other options need to be set.
Press the START/PAUSE button to start
the cycle.
After the Refresh cycle is co plete, the
washer will tu ble the clothes for up to 30
inutes to prevent rewrinkling.
After re oving clothes fro the Refresh cycle,
they ay feel slightly da p. Place clothes on a
hanger for at least 10 inutes to allow the to
dry.
• The Refresh cycle is not reco ended for
use with 100% cotton clothing.
• Re ove stains fro clothing before using the
Refresh cycle; the high heat could cause
stains to set per anently.
• Do not use Refresh with the following
ite s:wool, blankets, leather jackets, silk, wet
clothes, lingerie, foa products, or electric
blankets.
• Best results are achieved when articles are of
si ilar size and fabric type. Do not overload.

CAUTION
Do not touch the door during steam cycles. The
door surface can become very hot. Allow the door
lock to release before opening the door.
Do not attempt to override the door lock
mechanism or reach into the washer during a
steam cycle. Steam can cause severe burns.
NOTE
If there is any moisture inside the drum,
such as from a previous wash cycle, wipe
the drum dry with a towel before adding
clothes.

• Select the water te perature suitable for the
type of load you are washing. Follow the
fabric care label for best results.
• War rinses leave the loads drier than cold
rinses. War rinses can increase wrinkling.
• In cold cli ates, a war rinse akes the load
ore co fortable to handle.
• Cold rinses use less energy.
Wash/rinse

The washer dru spins at
up to 1,320 RPM. This
reduces drying ti e and
saves energy.
Press the SPIN SPEED button to select the

turns it off.

Your Stea Washer™ features several
additional cycle options to custo ize cycles to
eet your individual needs. Certain option
buttons also feature a special function (see the
following page for details) that can be activated
by pressing and holding that option button for 3
seconds.

S eam
Turn on the washer and turn the cycle
selector knob to select the desired cycle.
Use the cycle setting buttons to adjust the
settings for that cycle.
Press the cycle option button(s) for the
option you would like to add. The cycle
option buttons, except STEAM and
DELAY, will light when selected.
Press the START/PAUSE button to start
the cycle. The washer will start
auto atically.
To add cycle op ions o a cycle:
Once you have selected the
cycle and other settings,
press this button to delay the
start of the wash cycle. Each
press of the button increases
the delay ti e by one hour, up to 19 hours.
Delay wash
A buildup of detergent
residue can occur in the
wash tub over ti e and can
lead to a ildewy or usty
s ell. The TUB CLEAN
cycle is specially designed to re ove this
buildup. The display will show a essage to
add liquid bleach to the dispenser. After the
cycle has ended, open the door and allow the
dru interior to dry co pletely.
Tub clean
Select this option to rinse
and spin a load separately
fro a regular cycle. This
can be helpful in preventing
fresh stains fro setting in
fabrics.

Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the
washer.
Press the RINSE+SPIN button.
Press the START/PAUSE button.

Custom program
CUSTOM PROGRAM allows
you to store a custo ized
wash cycle for future use. It
allows you to save favorite
te perature, spin speed, soil level, and other
options for a cycle, and then recall the at
the touch of a button.
To s ore a Cus om program:
Select a cycle.
Adjust the Wash/Rinse Te perature, Spin
Speed, and Soil Level to the desired
settings.
Set any other desired options.
Press and hold the CUSTOM PROGRAM
button for 3 seconds. You will hear two
beeps to confir the settings have been
stored.
To recall a Cus om program:
Press and release the CUSTOM PROGRAM
button. The stored settings will be displayed.
Press and release the START/PAUSE
button to start the cycle. The washer will
start auto atically.
IMPORTANT
If you press and hold the CUSTOM PROGRAM button
for 3 seconds, you will overwrite any previously
stored CUSTOM PROGRAM.
