Lifemax 407.2 User manual

These smaller versions of the Lifemax 407 and
407.1 Atomic Talking Watches have a 28 mm dial
that is suitable for females or children. However
the case materials and operation is different from
the larger 407 and 407.1 models.
General description
This talking watch announces both the time and date and has a radio control feature
that enables the watch to receive a radio signal from transmission waves. This signal
sets the time and date on the watch automatically. The radio control feature also
changes the time from British summer to winter time automatically and vice-versa.
The factory has set your watch to receive the UK time signal.
The UK transmitter is based in Anthorn, Cumbria, and typically has a reaching
distance of up to 620 miles or 1000 kilometres.
The watch can also be used in Germany, USA and Japan (60 KHz only) where the
radio signal can be received and sets time and date automatically.
The watch automatically receives the time signal at 3am every day to maintain accu-
rate timing.
If the watch does not set automatically it could be because it has not received an
update at 3am due to a weak signal. This could be due to where the watch is posi-
tioned. It is recommended that the watch should be left by a window in order to
receive the strongest possible signal.
Certain electrical equipment such as a television or computer, and some metallic
objects may affect the radio signal, so it is advised that the watch is not left close to
such equipment.

radio signal, it will continue to function in the same way as a standard watch. The
time will then be corrected the next time your watch receives the time signal.

Set Time
This function is for when you travel or live in countries with no Radio Time signal. You
must set your watch to your local time when you come back from countries without a
Radio Time signal. Follow the Manual signal reception part of these instructions.
Manual time setting (for Countries without a time signal)
Your watch is a very delicate and precise instrument. Although uncommon hard
knocks or vibrations can cause the hands to move irregularly, and therefore display
the incorrect time, although the internal clock is keeping accurate time. You may
notice this if when the time announcement does not match with the position of
hands. Then you need to reset watch hands by the following procedures.
Troubleshooting
1) Wait until the second hand is at 12 o’clock and pull out the crown immediately so
that the second hand stops at 12 o’clock position.
2) Turn the crown to set Hour and Minute hands to 12 o’clock.
3) With all the hands stopped at 12 o’clock position, hold S1 for five seconds and then
push in the crown.
4) The watch hands turn quickly to match the internal voice time and then resume
normal running when the time matching is finished and both the hands and voice
announcement are synchronised.
To reset the watch hands
Your watch is not able to manually set the date. The date function will be updated
when you return to a country with a time signal.
