The LINK PSR-800 Series Remote Control panels
allow the user to control and monitor the LINK 800
SeriesVideoandAudioswitchers. ThePSR-822is
a 8X2 controller. Each remote control panel has an
RS-232 serial port allowing it to be interfaced with
a computer. Communications to and from the
switchers themselves is handled via an RS-485
compatibleseriallink,usingan RJ-11modularjack.
This unique combination provides a reliable link
over long distances (>1000 Feet) with inexpensive,
readily available cable. Active video and audio
channels are indicated by a pair of seven-segment
displays.A front paneltoggleswitch provides audio
and video "break- away".
TheLINK VSW-800 Seriesofvertical-intervalvideo
switchers are designed to offer high performance,
reliability, and flexibility. Sixteen or eight looping
videoinputs (depending onmodel)and two outputs
are available, using true 75 Ohm BNCs. If desired,
customers may order 800 Series switchers with the
internal video signal bus divided in half, effectively
giving them two independent 8X1 switchers in one
box.

Convenient Operation
The PSR-821 is the remote control for the VSW-822
video swither, 8X2 matrix. Active channels are
indicated by front panel seven-segment displays. An
RS-232-C port is available for communication with a
personal computer or modem. Serial commands are
easy to use and remember. If audio-follow-video
switchingisrequired, LINK Electronicsoffers the PAF-
800familyofhigh-performancestereoaudioswitchers
to accompany the PSR/VSW-800 series. Each LINK
800 Series switcher features "audio break-away"
capability, allowing the audio to be switched
independently of the video.
If desired, a video switcher may even be controlled
from the front panel of the audio switcher. An RS-232
port is available on the audio switchers as well. Like
their video counterparts, the audio switchers may also
function in dual 8X1 mode.
The LINK 800 Series switchers are packaged in a
tough one R.U. chassis and backed by LINK'S standard
10-year warranty. The Remote Control features
reduced depth to allow it to be mounted in a table or
desk-top.
