Please read instructions before setting watch

Thank you for purchasing your LL Bean watch. Your watch is guaranteed
to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the prod-
uct under normal use. Any such defect will be repaired free of charge.
ABOUT YOUR WATCH – IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
SCREW CROWN – Each watch has a threaded crown which seals your
L.L. Bean watch against moisture and protects the delicate movement
stem from shock. It is very important that the screw crown is properly
sealed for years of water resistant timekeeping performance.
WATER RESISTANCE – Each watch is carefully manufactured to the
highest standards per L.L. Bean specifications for water resistance and
is tested to a depth of 300 Ft. at the factory before being shipped to L.L.
Bean. There are important water-resistant seals that are located in the

Pack the watch carefully (without the gift box). Fill in the “Services
Requested” Card on the other side and enclose it with your watch. Make
sure you complete your name, address and home phone number, and
check the appropriate boxes to indicate the work you require.

for most other surface water sports. It is not a diver’s watch. Your watch
will remain water resistant as long as you correctly screw the crown in
so that it is tight and your watch is properly serviced at regular intervals.
Please rinse the watch in fresh water after immersion in salt water.
BATTERY LIFE – Your watch is powered by a battery which will last ap-
proximately 2 years. Once every two years you should arrange to have
your watch serviced and the battery replaced without delay.
SERVICE – If your watch requires any repairs, we recommend that you
return it to our specially equipped L.L.Bean Watch Repair Center. Our
trained technicians know your watch inside and out. We use state-of-
the-art equipment and original parts. We can ensure that your watch will
continue to give you reliable, accurate service for years to come.

Position 1 - Locked, water resistant position. Crown screwed in completely.
Position 2 - Turn Crown counterclockwise until released from threads.
Pull out to middle position as illustrated to set date.
Position 3 - Turn Crown counterclockwise until released from threads.
Pull out to outer position as illustrated to set time.

Setting the TIME and DATE:
Refer to Crown Positions illustrated on page 4. Note:
Your L.L. Bean watch is set to Position 1 at the factory,
which insures water resistant timekeeping.
TURN the crown counterclockwise to unscrew the
crown from the case.
PULL the crown to position 3 and rotate the hands
until the calendar window displays the next day.
PUSH the crown to position 2 and rotate the crown counterclockwise to adjust
the date to the correct day.
PULL crown out to position 3 to set the correct time.
PUSH the crown to position 1 and while turning it clockwise to screw the crown
back to its original position. Crown should seat tightly against the case.
