of caravan owners
We would like to congratulate you on your pur-
chase of an LMC caravan and thank you for the
trust you have placed in us.
With an LMC you have chosen a caravan that
offers you independence and a high standard
of living comfort, and incorporates many safety
features.
To ensure that you have fun with your caravan
from day one, you should read through this
Operating Manual carefully before setting off on
your first trip.
As well as the operating instructions, we have
included a lot of useful information and practical
tips which we are happy to pass on to you, as it
matters a great deal to us that you should be
satisfied at all times with your LMC.

Foreword

Our weight specifications comply with the require-
ments of European Parliament and Council Direc-
tive 97/27/EC and EC Directive EN 1645-2.
Following from these, a number of terms and
weight specifications are changing:
1. Total technically permissible mass(es) (for-
merly “maximum permissible gross weight”).
2. Unladen mass in running order (formerly
“unladen weight”). This weight contains the
mass with the following standard equipment:
fluids such as fresh water and gas to 90% of
capacity + cable drum, without optional extras.
3. Maximum load: this mass must not be
exceeded through personal equipment or
optional extras.

The total technically permissible mass(es) and the axle load as per the vehicle title must
not be exceeded under any circumstances in the loaded condition.

Information on the Operating Manual
This Operating Manual contains important infor-
mation on the operation, maintenance and hand-
ling of the caravan equipment.
The many practical tips are intended to make it
easier for you to use your caravan safely and in an
environmentally responsible manner.
In the interests of your safety, please read the
information on the handling of gas equipment,
the 12V and 230V vehicle electrical system and
the safety instructions especially carefully.
Service information
When combined with regular maintenance and
servicing, proper handling of the caravan will
ensure that the vehicle retains its value, and in
many cases it is one of the preconditions for any
claim made under guarantee.
Your Operating Manual contains a service sched-
ule, in which completion of the necessary services
will be confirmed after the work has been carried
out.
The continued validity of the five-year guarantee
of leak-tightness of the vehicle body is dependent
on the production of evidence that these services
have been performed.
Please remember that should you come to sell
the caravan at some future date, the vehicle log
including Operating Manual, service documents
and gas inspection certificate will need to be
passed on to the new owner.
Organisation of this manual
Equipment marked with an asterisk only comes as
standard with certain models or is only available
as optional extras for certain models.

The present manual has been written with the
utmost care. However, as our caravans undergo
continuous development, please understand that
we must reserve the right to vary the form, equip-
ment and technology. For this reason, no claims
based on the contents of this Operating Manual
can be admitted.
Warning signs used in this Operating
Manual
All text which refers to possible health hazards or
to a danger of accident or injury have been made
more prominent in this Operating Manual by addi-
tion of the term “Warning”.

Hitching and unhitching the caravan
Prior to hitching or unhitching the caravan:
–For hitching and unhitching operations, stabilis-
ing handle (1) must be open in the uppermost
position.
–Pull stabilising handle (1) upwards as far as it
will go (open) otherwise hitching and unhitching
is difficult.
Hitching
–Open coupling jaw – here, pull coupling handle
(2) strenuously upwards in the direction of the
arrow.
–Place the opened coupling on the towing
bracket of the towing vehicle and release the
coupling handle (2). It should now slide back
into the initial position by itself.
–Nevertheless, press downwards by hand as
well. Closing and application of the safety catch
are automatic.
Warning!
–When the green edge of the safety indication (3)
is visible, the coupling ball is entirely in the
coupling housing.
–Press stabilising handle (1) downwards until
resting position is exceeded and limit stop is
reached.
Unhitching
–Rotate support wheel downwards (note techni-
cal information relating to support wheel).
–Release contact-breaking cable and lighting
plug.
–Pull stabilising handle (1) upwards as far as it
will go.
–Pull coupling handle (2) strenuously upwards in
the direction of the arrow.
–Take coupling from the coupling ball of the tow-
ing vehicle. This procedure is easier if, with the
ball coupling open, the crank handle is turned
so that the towbar support wheel is raised.
Safety instructions
–The anti-rolling coupling may only be operated
by one person during opening and closing.
–Press stabilising handle downwards or pull up-
wards with only one hand.

Operation

–Warning ! never work with the foot or an
extension!
–The components can be overloaded and get
damaged!
–Warning! stabilising handle must not be used as
a dolly.
Towbar support wheel
Release support clamp (1) by moving the clamp-
ing lever towards the left.
Push support wheel (3) downwards and tighten
again.
The height of the towbar support wheel can be ad-
justed continuously by turning the crank handle
(4).
Warning!
Push the towbar support wheel to the top position
before every journey and tighten it securely with
the clamping lever. Then wind up the support
wheel to the limit stop.
It is essential that the support wheel is attached
securely in the retaining jaws and cannot slip out.
Parking supports
The height of the parking supports located at the
front and back underneath the structure can be
continuously adjusted using the enclosed crank
handle. The crank handle will be found in the tow-
bar box.
Warning!
Danger of accident!
Before starting a journey it is essential to wind up
the parking supports to the topmost position.
Depending on the model, you must hear the sup-
ports engaging in position.

Setting up the caravan
When choosing a place to set up the caravan,
please note the following points:
–The ground surface should be as even and firm
as possible.
–Avoid wept, muddy places.
–The parking space should not slope too much.
Set the caravan up so that as far as possible it is
level. Using parking supports and wheel chocks,
secure the caravan so that it cannot roll away, and
ensure that it is level. If the subsoil cannot take all
of the weight, suitable materials, e.g. planks of
wood, should be placed underneath the parking
supports.
Warning!
Do not use parking supports as jacks.
Awning
If you want to enlarge the living area by setting up
an awning, you can connect the awning to the car-
avan. To do this, manoeuvre the awning into the
groove which runs around on the right-hand side
of the caravan.
Key
Your caravan comes with three copies of a single
key (with a black head). This opens the following
locks:
–entrance door
–storage compartments and towbar box cover
accessible from the outside
–filler hole for fresh water
Entrance door (internal)
The door is opened by moving the rotary lever in
position (1).
To lock the door from the inside, move the rotary
lever to position (2).
