Minimum System Requirements
• 3G/4G USB MODEM with active subscription
• 3G/4G USB MODEM is compatible with HN-MRN1U
• iPhone 3G/3Gs or below
• iPhone 30pin connector/USB Cable
• PC with Ethernet Port and/or Wireless
• Wireless Adapter for non Wireless-enabled PCs

3. Battery Light
• Blue : Full charge
• Purple : Charging in progress
• Red : Battery is weak, need to charge in time
• No Light : Battery is out of power, or no battery inserted
4. WiFi Light
• Blue : Wi-Fi is on and no insert WAN/LAN cable
• Purple : Wi-Fi is on and insert WAN/LAN cable
• Red : Wi-Fi is off and insert WAN/LAN cable
5. Signal Light
• Blue : Signal is strong
• Purple : Signal is general
• Red : Signal is weak
6. Network Mode Light
3G Card Access:
• Red - Always on : Wireless network card incompatible
- Flashing 1 time/Sec : Network Registering
• Purple - Always on : registered on 2G network and dialed
- Flashing 1time/Sec : registered on 2G network and dialing
- Flashing 1time/3 Sec : registered on 2G network, not dialing
• Blue - Always on : registered on 3G network and dialed
- Flashing 1time/Sec : registered on 3G network and dialing
- Flashing 1time/3 Sec : registered on 3G network ,not dialing
WAN Access:
• No light : Network cable is not plugged or disconnected
• Blue - Always on : DHCP/ADSL connected
- Flashing 1time/Sec : DHCP/ADSL connecting

How to charge your HN-MRN1U?
You should charge your HN-MRN1U when its battery Led is Red or no light. You can charge it via:
• AC Adapter with USB port
• USB Power Cable connected to your PC
In both cases, make sure the adapter/power cable USB connector is plugged in DC Power Mini USB Slot.
Modes of Operation
This device can operate in different modes
• 3G/4G Hotspot
• iPhone Network Tethering
• Mini AP
Hardware Installation
Why to use this mode?
1. You have a 3G/4G USB MODEM. You need to share it wirelessly with your friends.
1. Make sure the battery is installed.
2. Make sure the 3G/4G USB MODEM is compatible with HN-MRN1U.
3. Make sure the SIM card is inserted into your USB MODEM and that you have active subscription.
4. Connect your 3G/4G USB MODEM into the USB port at the top of the Device.
5. Switch the device ON by sliding the power switch to ON position.
3G/4G Hotspot Mode
Note:
This mode is Default Mode for all users who need to simply and fast connect to 3G/4G Internet wirelessly.

10. Open your Internet Browser (ex. Internet Explorer), Type any address 192.168.123.254 . It will direct
you to the LogN HN-MRN1U Configuration page.
6. Wait until:
• PWR Led is ON (Stable/Blue)
• Battery Led is ON (not off: out of power or red: weak)
• WiFi Led is ON (Stable/Blue)
• Signal Led is ON (not red: weak signal)
• Network Mode Led is ON (not red: not registered)
7. Wait until:
• 3G/4G USB MODEM Led is active similar to same activity when plugged into PC , connected to
Network and working.
8. To connect your PC to LogN HN-MRN1U, make sure your PC wireless is ON, search for “LogN_xxxx” in
your PC wireless list, connect.
9. Make sure that your PC Operating System (ex. Windows) tells you are connected to LogN HN-MRN1U
wirelessly.
Congratulations, you are connected to Internet!

11. Type “admin” for user name and “password” for password when prompted to type them.
Changing Wireless Name
12. Select Wireless >> Basic
13. Here you will change the name of your Wireless Network. Type the Wireless Name (SSID) you want
your Wireless Network appear with. If you leave it, it will default to “LogN_xxxx”. Press “Apply”.
Note:
Your connection will normally cut for the name of wireless was changed. Search your PC wireless list for the
new name, Connect.

Securing Wireless Connection
14. Select Wireless >> Security.
15. Select from “Security Mode” drop menu “WPA-PSK” .
16. Select “WPA Algorithms” as “AES” .
17. Type the Password for your Wireless Connection in “Pass Phrase” , Make it difficult for intruders to
guess. The password can be of any character but it should not be less than 8 characters. Press
“Apply” .
Note:
Your connection will normally cut for a wireless password was introduced. Search your PC wireless list for your
wireless name, Type the password when prompted to type it and Connect.

1. Make sure the battery is installed.
2. Connect the iPhone with 30pin connector.
3. Connect your iPhone 30Pin connector/USB cable into the USB port at the top of the Device
4. Turn on iPhone's Personal Hotspot from Settings>>General>>Personal Hotspots
(please select to turn on USB only when prompted in the iPhone screen)
5. Switch the device ON by sliding the power switch to ON position.
6. Wait until:
• PWR Led is ON (Stable/Blue)
• Battery Led is ON (not off: out of power or red: weak)
• WiFi Led is ON (Stable/Blue)
• Signal Led is ON (not red: weak signal)
• Network Mode Led is ON (not red: not registered)
7. To connect your PC to LogN HN-MRN1U, make sure your PC wireless is ON, search for “LogN_xxxx” in
your PC wireless list, connect.
8. Make sure that your PC Operating System (ex. Windows) tells you are connected to LogN HN-MRN1U
wirelessly.
Congratulations, you are connected to Internet!
iPhone Network Tethering Mode
Why to use this mode?
1. You have a 3G/3Gs or below versions of iPhone. You need to share its 3G/4G Connection wirelessly
with your friends.
Note:
This mode has no meaning with iPhone4. They can operate in Wireless hotspot mode.

Mini AP Mode
Why to use this mode?
1. You have Internet cable in home coming from neighborhood but you need Wireless Connection in
your home.
2. You have ADSL MODEM with no Wireless Connection. You need wireless connection in your home.
3. You have ADSL MODEM with Wireless Connection in home but it does not cover the entire home. You
need another Wireless Access Point to cover uncovered areas. You will link both devices with a cable.
1. Make sure the battery is installed.
2. If you have a cable coming from neighborhood, connect it to the RJ-45 port of USB/RJ-45 LAN Cable.
3. Connect USB port of USB/RJ-45 LAN Cable to the USB port of the HN-MRN1U
4. Switch on your LogN HN-MRN1U by sliding the power switch to ON position.
5. Wait until:
• PWR Led is ON (Stable/Blue)
• Battery Led is ON (not off: out of power or red: weak)
• WiFi Led is ON (Stable/Blue)
• Network Mode Led is ON (Stable/Blue)
6. To connect your PC to LogN HN-MRN1U, make sure your PC wireless is ON, search for “LogN” in your
PC wireless list, connect.

7. Make sure that your PC Operating System (ex. Windows) tells you are connected to LogN HN-APN2
wirelessly.
8. Connect to LogN HN-MRN1U page similar to what learnt in 3G/4G Hotspot Mode.
9. Select Internet >> WAN.
11. Connect to LogN HN-MRN1U page similar to what learnt in 3G/4G Hotspot Mode.
12. Select Internet >> Ports Set
10. Open drop menu of “WAN Connection Type” and select “DHCP” , press “Apply”

Power Bank
This Device can be used as a “Power Bank” to charge your Mobile Phones and any USB chargeable devices via
its top USB port.
1. Make sure that HN-MRN1U is battery full.
2. Slide the power switch of HN-MRN1U to “off” position.
3. Simply connect your Mobile Phone USB charging cable to the top USB port of HN-MRN1U.
4. Slide the power switch of HN-MRN1U to “C” position to start charging your Mobile Phone.
Congratulations, you are charging your Mobile Phone!
13. Select “Set Interface as WAN” and press “Apply” .
Congratulations, you are connected to Internet!
