IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Safety Terminology (ANSI Z535.4)
Safety Alerts: |||| This is the safety alert symbol. This symbol alerts you to potential
hazards that can kill or hurt you and others. Safety messages will follow the safety
alert symbol with either the word "DANGER" or "WARNING” or “CAUTION."
DANGER: Indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, will result in death or
serious injury. This signal word is to be limited to the most extreme situations.
WARNING: Indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could result in death
or serious injury.
CAUTION: Indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could result in minor
or moderate injury.
NOTICE: Indicates information considered important, but not hazard-related (e.g.,
messages related to property damage). The safety alert symbol shall not be used with
this signal word.
WARNING:
Burn, Fire, Electric Shock and Microwave Energy Hazard
This microwave oven may present a risk of burn, fire, electric shock, exposure to microwave
energy, and other hazards. To avoid injury, read and follow all instructions before using the
appliance. Locate, Install, and Operate this appliance only in accordance with these instructions.
Failure to heed all instructions may result in personal injury or death.
WARNING:
Electric Cord Shock Hazard

followed:
Do not operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord, a damaged plug, is not working
properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped.

Cord/Plug Safety

Storage. Do not store this appliance outdoors. Do not use this product near water –
for example, near a kitchen sink, in a wet basement, near a swimming pool, or in a
similar location.
Special Food Cooking Precautions
Some products such as whole eggs and sealed containers (ex: closed glass jars) can
explode and should not be heated in this oven.
Do not cover or block any openings on the appliance.
Do not cook bacon directly on the turntable. Excessive local heating of the turntable
may cause the turntable to break.
Do not heat baby bottles or baby food in the microwave oven. Uneven heating may
occur and could cause physical injury.
Do not heat narrow-necked containers, such as syrup bottles
Do not attempt to deep-fry in your microwave oven.
Do not attempt home canning in this microwave oven, as it is impossible to be sure all
contents of the jar have reached boiling temperature.
Super-Heated Liquid Burn Hazard
A “Super-heated” liquid is any water, coffee, tea or other liquids that are heated
beyond their boiling temperature, without signs of boiling.
If you use a microwave oven to heat liquids in a clean cup or container beyond the
boiling temperature, any slight disturbance or movement may cause the “Super-
heated” non-boiling liquid to violently explode out of the container.
WARNING:
Super-Heated Liquid Burn Hazard
Super-heated liquids may develop in the oven and present a burn hazard if the following
precautions are not followed:
Do not use straight-sided containers with narrow necks (which can suddenly spout ejected
boiling liquid).
Do not overheat the liquid.
Stir liquid before placing the container in the oven and again halfway through cooking time.
After heating, allow the container to stand in the microwave oven for a short time before
removing the container.
After cooking, use extreme care when inserting a spoon or other utensil into the container.
Failure to heed these precautions may result in serious skin burns or scalding injuries on hands,
face, and body.
Intended Use. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in the manual.

Oven Fire Warnings
WARNING
Oven Fire Hazard
Fire hazards may occur in the oven if the following precautions are not followed:
Do not operate the microwave oven empty. Operating the oven with no food or food that is
extremely low in moisture can cause fire, charring or sparking.
Do not overcook food. Carefully watch appliance when paper, plastic, or other combustible
materials are placed inside the oven as part of cooking.
Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bag before placing bag in oven.
Do not use the oven cavity for storage purposes, or leave paper products, cooking utensils, or
food in the cavity when not in use.
Failure to heed these precautions may result in personal injury or property damage.
WARNING:
FIRE OR SMOKE IN MICROWAVE OVEN
If materials inside of the oven ignite, keep oven door closed and turn oven off. Disconnect the
power cord or shut off power at the fuse or circuit breaker panel. Failure to heed this warning
may result in burns, inhalation of smoke, or property damage.
Child Supervision. As with any appliance, close supervision is necessary when
used by children.
Service Needs. This appliance should be serviced only by qualified service
personnel. Contact nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or
adjustment.
Cleaning. When cleaning the contact surfaces of door and oven that come together
upon closing the door, use only mild, nonabrasive soaps, or detergent applied with a
sponge or soft cloth. Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition could lead to
deterioration that could adversely affect the life of the appliance and possibly result in
a hazardous situation.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
DANGER
Internal Electrical Shock Hazard
Do not disassemble this appliance or touch the internal components as they may be electrified.
Consult a qualified electrician if any service or repairs are needed. Failure to heed this warning
will result in electrocution leading to serious injury or death.

Grounding Instructions
WARNING
Improper Grounding Hazard
Failure to use proper grounding can result in a serious electric shock and injury. Consult a
qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely understood or
if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.
This appliance must have a third grounded wire. In the event of an electrical short
circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for
the stray electric current. This appliance cord has a third grounding wire and
grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed
and grounded.
Power Supply Cord
Extension cords are not recommended. However, if it is unavoidable to use an
extension cord:
The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as
great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
The extension cord must be a grounding-type 3-wire cord plug and receptacle.
The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
RADIO INTERFERENCE
CAUTION
Potential Radio Interference
Operation of the microwave oven may cause interference to your radio, TV or similar receiver
equipment. Follow the instructions below to avoid or reduce interference.
When there is interference, it may be reduced or eliminated by taking one or more
of the following measures:
Clean door and sealing surface of the oven;
Reorient the receiving antenna of radio or television;
Relocate the microwave oven with respect to the receiver;
Move the microwave oven away from the receiver; or
Plug the microwave oven into a different outlet so that microwave oven and receiver
are on different branch circuits.
